His dark minded gaze had fallen across her pure form at the challenge. How close he had been to trampling over and destroying everything that he has! He is rageful, angry now with that she should venture out purely to taunt him so.
How weak he had been, drawn back only by his child, by the promise of blood. What a wretched creature he now knows himself to be.
Yet he has lingered upon thoughts of her since. Has he not?
Does she thrive? Has she opened her soul to another? The thought of that in particular drives him to madness.
Obsession bade him to lurk in the grove, waiting like a petulant ghoul near to the home that he supposed she must still belong. He does not even know if he wishes to see her. Perhaps he just needs to get it out of his system.

In truth, Ygritte had caught his scent - the cologne she had once enjoyed having - but due to her thoughts being on something else; on someone else it was blocked and forgotten. She had yet to admit her feelings to this other one ( vague cause thread is still on going ) but the thought was there ever still and as she went through the Grove her mind stayed there. After her meeting with Alizabeth and then finding Ransom later, she had kept herself busy even hidden from the world but now she had found a different reason to come out. Like today, she was out hunting for a certain item - whether it be an animal or a non-living thing would be up to her.

Like a lamb into the lion's den, sure enough she emerges into sight. His whole body convulses, growing taut and expectant. There is a quickening urge to go over, to have her, claim her as his own. He keeps the instinct caged, but he could barely control it. Greed. It flows through him, taking the fore of any other emotion. He has found love. He worships devotedly at the altar of Alizabeth. Yet his darker self cannot shake lesser obsessions long since developed.

Silent, the behemoth observed her through the trees. As she moves, so does he. Muscular legs inch him cautiously, the predator stalking parellel to her movements. Blackened ears twisted forward, cerulean stare ravishing the petite body beneath merle fur.

Hunger. He feels it keenly. What would he do? Heart thundering. The devil in him wants to scare her, wreak havoc and ravish her. The feelings he still holds, begs him to retreat, to give her freedom to move on.

He has been good for so long.

So concentrated on finding anything that would fit a ritual that the blind seeress had been well unaware that she was being followed. There had been nothing to give her signs of movement in the shadows so Ygritte had felt that she was in peace with nature around her. That was until his voice hit her ear drums and that cologne that he wore wrapped around and tried to suffocate her as she would stop in her tracks. Her ears turned to face him as she shifted her weight so that she was standing with her side facing him instead of her back end. @Ransom. She had not spoken his name in so long that Ygritte had forgotten the sound of it. He no longer clouded her dreams but had been replaced with nightmares that even he couldn't save her from.

The taste of her scent, on his tongue and lips, is like sweet poison. It threatens to overwhelm him and he would likely succumb, if he did not know that the risk is not just to him, but to her. It is difficult to accept and acknowledge that she might be over him now, that her attentions might fall elsewhere.
He cannot accept it and yet, obsesses over it all the same. He suspects nothing and everything, mind whirring at lightning speed as he looks down at her, now standing sideways as she breathes his name onto the air and he licks his lips, smacking them audibly, provocatively.
You've been taunting me. He accuses. Though his voice is soft, almost a whisper. The shallow expulsions from his lungs louder, everything about him is there to remind her of his looming presence.
He wants to frighten her. No. He wants to kiss her. He stands poised, unmoving from his place. Unable to actually follow through with anything that would harm her.

She kept her body perpendicular to @Ransom's voice, listening to his words to each sound he made. It caused her to feel uncomfortable and her toes wiggled in the undergrowth that she stood on. I haven't done anything to you. She would state, ears falling flat on top of her head at the accusations he was bringing to the table. All I have done is help those who need it. Now if they meant that they were in the same place well then he would just have to deal with it. But his words, and the way he said such words was not one she particularly liked and she would move a step away from Ransom.

I haven't done anything to you.
He snorted, large mane shaking out in disbelief. A cruel smile slipped across blackened features. The sweet curve of her hips acted as if to elude him, as if she wasn't quaking in want of his touch. Obsidian shoulders rolled, driving the behemoth forward, aching loins pushing him on until he is yet closer still. Unbearably close to what might have been. What he still yearns for.
Have you not missed me? Words fall like a lover's whisper, a mask to disguise the hurt that speared his heart at her attempt to slip away into the forest.
I have missed you. Inky lips pressed together, instant regret for the truth that slips out from within. Weakening and exposing him.
His muscular form held so taut, so controlled and in place. The only way that he has ever been able to gift her the space that her fragile soul required. If only, if only she had known what pleasures he would have lavished upon her flesh._{BG — IMAGE — CODE}

Ears pushed forwards as Ygritte would listen to his words, feel his breath on her ear as he moved closer to her. Unbearably close which caused his body to shiver, but it wasn't because he was close to her but for another reason. The feelings she once had for the colossal - though faintly there - were mostly gone. Her heart had been stolen by another that didn't even know it yet. Did she miss him? Sometimes. She would state, it was the truth and the truth can be harsh as she would find herself stepping away from the uncomfortable closeness that he brought to her. Do you really? Or do you miss the idea of me, @Ransom. He had a whole wife at home, why did he miss her?

Sometimes. Words poured like ice water over his senses. Despair flexed through him, twitching each muscle in turn as her heartless dismissal is felt in full force.
@Ygritte edged away, her efforts escaping his notice as her questioning stills him in the spot. Voice rising into the air with a roughness almost akin to a growl.
I have kept a distance to permit you your safety. Nevermind that it had been him who had brought that upon her in the first place. But he is wounded, and like a petulant child he lashes out when his feelings are smushed into the earth.
Finally noticing her movement, Ransom begrudgingly took a step back himself. Is there... someone else? He asked, a faint trace of sadness in his ever changing tone.

His voice hits her ears and they flatten on top of her head as she shakes her head. I am as safe as I was when I met you. She would state. Perhaps when she had met Alizabeth she had been scared and even when she looked back on the meeting those were the exact feelings that she had felt towards the woman how had given off such a powerful aura. However, if Ygritte were to meet Alizabeth now it would be different., she would hold herself to a different level. But then his question hit her and foggy jewels blinked as she would let silence fall between them. Was there someone else? I don't know.. The words were a whisper but loud enough for him to hear. In truth, there was another in her own heart but what about his?
