She was no longer his Queen and yet Alizabeth had not made him sovereign. He can only suppose that @Dysnomia has other things on her mind and will return to it soon.
The obsidian beast used his snout to follow the scent of the dark woman, longing for a moment alone, to remember just who he is in this busy world. It is selfish, to have such purpose. But he cannot help himself. A child in impulse.
The giant combs the lagoon, his muscular legs beginning to ache but refusing to cease until he could feast upon her dark flesh with his bright cerulean eyes.
Does she still want him? He has been such a poor companion as of late.

She was deep within the cove, nestled within a clearing under a tree and next to some shrubbery, for once letting the sun bathe over her. The weather had gotten cooler, and as such it was actually nice to get some sunbathing in unlike during the summer months when she felt like she wanted to die just standing in the shade.

Someone was wandering around nearby and she looked over idly, wondering which of her pridemates it would be. Hello Ransom, she said as she spotted his burly, black form. It wasn't a surprise to her to see him wandering around, though it was rare to see him away from Alizabeth these days what with their children and all.

Once her scent had caught in his airways, he became all the more singular in his quest. Ferreting her out beneath the foliage, Ransom breathed a silent sigh of relief as he came to loom partially over her sunbathing form.
Dysnomia. He breathed, panting and yet still regarding her supple figure with a great level of intensity.
The black goddess appeared so at ease with the world, unconcerned for just whom might be lurking and leering from afar. He's not certain if this pleases him or not. That her life might carry on regardless of him is a hard blow to take.
Have you not missed me? He asked sternly, demanding in his usual immature fashion.
The giant slumped down to lay at her side, nudging her shoulder with the bridge of his nose. Silent, but plain enough in his gesture that he has missed her.

She purred as he chose to approach, her name leaving his tongue like a prayer. She liked how that sounded.

A pout settled on her face as he questioned her, not sure if he was being completely serious or not. It sounded like he was, but he could also just be about to tease her. "Of course, but you've been busy with your wife and the cubs and blah blah blah. When do I get to play with the babies by the way? They need their auntie Dysnomia to teach them all sorts of trouble," she commented as he laid down beside her. She probably could have come "stolen" one or two of them before now but eh, she wasn't going to point that out herself.

How forgiving she is. He vocally rumbled his rising desire at this perceived virture, remembering at once the heated touch of her flesh beneath him and how it feels to dominate her.
But @Dysnomia's words are all for the family, the group, not him. He wishes she were not so forgiving then, that her ire would spill over, and they could covet each other only today and pretend nothing else exists. He longs to be more than he is. But what that is exactly, he does not know.
You may take whichever one to play with that you like. He replies, edging his broad muzzle to her forearm, where he intends to needle her with his already flashing teeth. They are quite useless right now. Fragile little beasts. Though I admit I am reasonably attached, now. Attached was a big word for Ransom, perhaps quite strongly akin to love. Though he was impatient for the day when his boys were big enough to tussle with.

I long for you. He croons, placing a large paw across her body.

She was beginning to smile at the promise of being able to "borrow" one of the little ones, likely the closest she was going to get to having any of her own, she suspected. Having children with Ransom would be... well she'd have to raise them on her own now wouldn't she, considering he was ever more faithful to Alizabeth than her, and she hardly expected Alizabeth to wish to be involved. Though perhaps she didn't know the woman as well as she thought.

She flashed her own teeth in warning as she saw him going for her forearm, but she still waited for him to finish speaking before she darted for his ear, attempting to get her jaws around it for just a moment before his paw laid over her and she was reminded that he was quite a bit bigger than her. Not that she was afraid of him.

"Ah so you did miss me," she commented. "How much, I wonder." She did, actually, wonder.

If he were honest with himself. Ransom was not a good father, he had little interest in the children save for their entertainment value. Alizabeth enjoyed the cubs immensely and Alabaster fathered them in all the ways that Ransom had never had for himself. But try as he does, sometimes, he can only linger at the sidelines of parenthood, looking in but never really knowing what it was he should be doing.

The obsidian male placed far more importance upon his own desires than most other things. It was true that Alizabeth took up a great deal of his time, for she was a creature that he longed to, but could not contain. The relationship thrilled and angered him all at once, retaining his interest and devotion all this while because of it.

His feelings toward @Dysnomia were less tumultuous, the lioness had long since become a companion that he could not relinquish. Selfish in the way that he horded her affections, threatening to demolish anyone else who might have a claim upon her. He cannot even stand that his own wife has looked to her with desire. For even against Alizabeth, Ransom would want Dysnomia only for himself.

Her teeth gleam and he smirks at the warning, feeling his skin prickle beneath ebony fur. Her fangs tug around his ear and he rumbles, earthy and excited.

How much? His skull cocked, pressing his forearm heavily onto her, seeking to curl around her ebony flesh and draw her closer still. More than you know. You are mine and I am yours.

She was feeling a little capricious that afternoon it seemed, wanting him to prove what he said. Not that there was much fussing she could do from her current position of partially pinned under him, but she wasn't a Casimir in name only. Well, not really in name anymore either since she'd taken up the Valentine name at Alizabeth's offer, but it was still there. It was in her blood to be a bit petulant.

"Prove it," she taunted him even as she let herself be drawn closer. An almost cranky snap of her teeth in the air even as she grinned slyly. Two could play at this game. Although, to be fair, it was a dangerous game because he might well decide he didn't want to play it. She wouldn't actually resist him pulling her closer, though, and a purr was rumbling in her chest at the same time.

Prove it.
Words quite at odds with the roll of her supple body toward him. Desire rising with every second that she remained under his control. His forearm sought to keep firm hold of her even as he pushed his muzzle toward her snapping teeth. Embracing the playfulness with a dark smile.

Emboldened by the seductive purr that batted against his twisting ears, the giant sought to rise up and take a stance over his ebony lover. An arm at each side of her. "Hmmm." Teal gaze looked down at @Dysnomia as his lips curled up. Knowing just exactly what he wanted to do to her. But a thought strikes him as he lingers above her. Realizing just quite how much he cannot be without her.

"Be mine." He rumbled suddenly, taking even himself by surprise. But Alizabeth had Alabaster. Why could he not have Dysnomia officially?

He moved to tower over her, not a particularly difficult feat for him but still a sight she enjoyed greatly. She tipped her head back to keep him in her field of vision, a smirk settled on her features.

A brow was raised as he stood there, curious as to what was going on in his head. Luckily for her, he was generally quite open with such things and promptly filled her in without her having to ask. Dysnomia wriggled around so that she was on her back and could look up at him properly, considering his words. Sounded like he wanted to make an honest woman of her, as it were, unless she was severely misreading the situation out of sheer hopefulness. Well, she certainly wasn't opposed to that, and she didn't think she'd have much problem whenever someone mentioned it to Alizabeth next. If anyone did.

"I am yours," she confirmed for him, reaching up to try and wrap her paws around his neck to pull him closer. "So long as you'll be mine."
