There were a few bundles of chaff flower scattered along the outside edges of the territory which might also prove useful should she ever need it. Their leaves wonderful for muscle pains should they need a little relaxant or time to rest themselves. The baby bush she had seen could play host to their infections and cure them with ease if they knew what they were doing but most warriors had no idea how to heal themselves. Why would they bother learning a skill that could potentially save their limbs or even their life?
So when the fight was over and the new challenger reigned, Carina wasted very little time into moving away from the sandy pit. After all she knew neither challenger personally and even less of the strangers that had arrived and without Tiamat here, she had no reason to linger any longer than necessary. exit carina

Too soon the victor had been sussed - Ryker rose victorious, leaning out from the batter of muscle and claw that ceased with settling dust. The pit gaped wide for its contenders, and his audience held by. Gauthier cracked the remains of the gnawed bone, tongue pressing between the spaces of his cleaned teeth, his sharpened fangs. A shame he would not use them today; but the night was still young. He howled a congratulatory bellow as the violence gave way for politics.
The newly appointed Andal King gave a pointed, curt speech; laying the foundations of law and the prospects of order with all the nuance of a conqueror. Gauthier's eyes rolled over those of the Oasis that still remained, and those strangers who slunk away to their own business.
None stepped forward to challenge Ryker further - none tested their audacity against those of Wolfbron that had bothered with their dutiful attendance. His curiosity blazed in what would become of the royals, but there was nothing left for him to entertain himself with. The many, his Wolfbron fellows included, began to filter away from the closing scene, and as would he, dropping the fractured bone back into the dust.

It means a win for Wolfbron, from where she was sitting. As Ryker stood victorious she flashed him a wicked grin, more than pleased with the fact that one of their own now ruled. It would mean a certain ally for the Bluffs, a far cry better than the enemy that Andal had been before.
Plus, she was rather happy to think of those little brats she had once fought losing their home.
With a satisfied smirk she rose and turned back to her home, considering what this might mean for their future as she walked.

A VOICE MADE OF TEETH |
Instead he ensures that the children of the Mire are safe on their way home before he, too, departs. Alaric will follow them back, keeping some distance so as not to seem oppressive, accompanied by no more than his own wandering thoughts. Today was a big day for Amaryllis, and he hoped it would mean another ally rather than another enemy...

usurper – the child watches with uncertainty as he strips the title from her favored champion, as he thieves the golden crown with little mercy as to the fallen’s fate. such were the way of kings, she learns, and a worried, fleeting gaze seeks alaric amongst the crowd; what if? and as the fledgling king addresses their gathering with his many proclamations, little mars seizes the opportunity to slip away without another sound, without another glance, her shoulders heavier beneath the burden of great concern.
– what if?
So Gareth took a deep breath and departed, making his way back to Vermeda. Putting himself right back to work on patrolling his own borders. Making sure that any attempt to come within the pride itself was thwarted. Double-checking every scent marker and rubbing his own pelt on any trees he could, leaving the urine sampling to his leaders. All the tracks that led in were those of pride mates or those of pride mates and their visitors, judging on how long they had been there and their scents fading the same. Perhaps if he could find Aquila he could fill the man in if he hadn't already but there was still a job to be done.

+5 - Patrol your borders
She gave a nod to the Mire's king, it was something she would expect from him and his pride as well. She was new to being an ally but she also knew that it would be worth the annoyance if things had gone that way. It seemed that the Oasis didn't care about their leader and as he fell in battle none went to him. She smirked and nodded to Ryker. Come once you have handled things in the Oasis. She doubted that the male would allow many to stay but time would tell and until then, she would enjoy the fact that her enemy no longer had a place to call home. She turned to leave with the rest and allow Ryker to tend to his new lands. exit |
