The night sky was darker than she recalled in previous hikes dangled from her father's mouth. He had been carrying her this long after her mother had died from birth. She only ever knew her father. The clay man as everyone called him wandered farther to a place she was not familiar with until her warmth escaped her. He had lowered her to the ground. " لا تذهب سأعود" familiar words soothed her words. He always did this, told her to stay, and would leave to find food, shelter, or another place to wander off to.

But as the hours passed, so did the moon rise up on the sky above. Her bi flecked eyes watched the moon, as it was the only thing to keep her still at her seat. Ears flick back and forth until her burned body shivered, shaking what fat she had she finally looked down. الآب she thought, no...still not back. The moon was starting to loop to the other side of her body, and the rocks lost all comfort and warmth for her. Where had he gone? Little did she know he was miles away and would not return. Figuring he was not far from her, her lips quivered and tiny calls escape from her, the tinest of mews - no voice, no words just gargled cries.

He hadn't been around when the father took off and disappeared, leaving a child - a cub no older than a month old much like Sweet Pea - to be left for dead. Who would think of such a thing truly? Why would anyone do this to a child; their child especially. But Drakon heard the cries of a child and was quick to change his direction in doing so. Ears twisting in his mane and fiery jewels looking around as the beast looked for the child. Ears twisting at the shrieks of the child herself. Fiery jewels finally found her and he looked at her sweet clay form. A small sigh forming as he moved closer until Drakon could get down to her level. "Oh sweetling, shhh no need to be scared no more, I'm here to protect you."

He’d been traveling around the desert some. Trying to figure out how it was similar and how it differed from his home. If he were to join the Oasis, it would not be a bad skill, either. He could learn the herbs and prey available to him. So far, he had a decent selection of both, which was surprising. But as he wandered about, he noticed a pale lion over a tiny, huddled form. He meandered over calmly, curious as to what was going on. Ah, a cub. He drew up near the male, keep his distance as he looked at the cub. Surely it was not his, no one would bring a cub out here, right? “May I examine her? I am a healer...” The trio’s fur shown in the moonlight, as he slowly brought his gaze over her. She looked thirsty, and as if her paw pads were cracked from the heat. Burns over her body. Poor thing. He wasn’t a huge fan of cubs, but she was clearly abandoned and in pain. How could someone abandon their cub? He glanced at Drakon curiously. Wondering why the other traveled at night. His reason was obvious to him, traveling by night was what he was used to. Part of Haniel wanted to take this cub back to the Lagoon, to Iofiel, he knew the man had a big heart for everyone. Including cubs. Diuris had the system of the pride raising cubs, as well.

The sound of silence. Dread, ears flood back. No one responded to her. Eyes widen with a tint of glossy film, perhaps she had to try again? A shiver, quake of the body, tremor of the legs. الآب ??? her mind echoed with a new choked mew. Her clay body ran with the burn scars tensed at the cooling air, she hated the cold it always made the scars burn with a different feeling.

Suddenly, movement - It had to be father right? Bi flecked eyes sparked with the ignition to run, but she stumbles. Then the sound was foreign. What? Who was this? {@Drakon}It was not father. Catching herself with an extended leg she holds back by back-peddling her tiny limbs. Ears pulled against her skull as she cocked her head. Who? What did he say? His lips had moved like her father's but the sounds were nothing she knew. He had dipped to the heart just like she had, her body curling into herself like a worm after it was touched.

Glossy pools watched this darker man, this was definitely not father, the sound was different too. By minutes past another sound caused her head to whip in its direction. Now the sound around her became muffled due to fear. {@Haniel} the other strode to the male on the heart, he also moved his lips but the sound spoken fell on tensed ears. What? Toes clenched into the Heart below - body once more quakes eyes became dewier. A louder choking sound calls from her stomach and out the throat as she cried out.

الآب!! مساعدة! her mind screamed now within her head. The fear of not viewing the man she knew before her, that was replaced by two other lions had made her want to what her father called 'getting sick' she could feel the part of her throat clutch, tense up, and sweat. She hated when her throat sweats like this. Backing up to where she had been before the first lion had arrived she swam her glance between the two and in the direction of where her father had gone from. He must have had heard her muffled sounds right, so it was possible he was returning back to where he told her to stay. Or was father mad that she moved when the stranger arrived and thus he remained hidden?

Ears twisted as he saw the girl back peddle from him and it caused Drakon to sigh and lay down completely, relaxing himself so that she wouldn't be afriand as he would think of a way to calm her down. "It's alright, أميرة" He would state, calling her a nickname. Not realizing that the words he spoke she'd understand but wouldn't be able to speak it. But her attention soon went to another as he would. "As much as I would like for her to be examined, she is taken over by fear and I don't want to cause anymore of that." He didn't want to force her but she needed to be examined. "If there is a way we can do it without scaring her, let me know." He would muse.

The babe seemed scared, so he kept his distance, examining her from afar. Burns, he wondered just how fresh they were, if she trusted him, he might be able to gather some aloe vera and spread it on her paw pads and nose especially. Perhaps gather some water into a leaf and offer it to her, but he wasn’t so sure that would work. The white male spoke in a familiar language. Ah, that’s why he had a tad bit of an accent (his was much more evident.) (1) “ هل تريدين أن أحضر لها بعض الماء في ملاءة؟ تبدو مجففة.” He was more than willing, but wanted to get this fellow’s opinion. His voice was soft, hushed, if only to not scare the babe. Poor little girl.

She was soo scared, her ears even fluttered. Masking eyes hooded, maybe if she didn't SEE them they would be replaced with her father. The cold never helped anyone and nor would it now, her head rattled as tiny murmur like sounds left her. Shivering and now goosebumps under her skin made her fur feel as though they were like needles standing straight up. She opened her eyes again , looking at them as she danced to the side where her father was. Tight-lipped as ever the girl would whimper. She had no idea what they were saying - her body closing into the darkness that soon took over the location.

Be the darkness and maybe then they would think she was gone? Perhaps she could make an escape to her father? yes! That was it! She rose up, so quickly she swore her eyes danced in circles inside her brain. Mustering all her courage she made a beeline between them - Parting her mouth as she panted. Gotta run fast!!!!

For a few moments he took his attention from the young babe towards the man who had come to join and help him. Ears twisting at the familiar words that he spoke and Drakon would give him a nod before speaking, "هذا سيكون رائع." He would admit before movement caught his attention from the corner of his fiery jewels. The girl was making a beeline for an escape and granted he understood why but that wasn't how everything was going to go and Drakon felt like this was going to be difficult. Sighing, Drakon would lift himself off of the ground and follow after before grabbing her by the scruff. He had tried to be calm, and even now he was still calm but now he had to force her to go someone. Fiery jewels glanced towards the male as he would motion for him to follow Drakon, it was time they left this area and Drakon would head back towards the Cove. There Hecuba and Jewel could help them.

The babe made a beeline away just as Haniel was about to reply to Drakon, moving quickly, but Drakon had already grabbed her by the scruff. Well, it looked like they were going wherever this man’s home was. Perhaps he’d find Iofiel a cub to help raise another day? All that really mattered was this little one was cared for, so he wasn’t upset. He’d never been the possessive kind, or one to get overly attached too quickly. As Drakon started to walk, Haniel would follow, hopefully whoever ruled the place was friendly. That’s all he could hope for. They might kick him out early. But as they turned, he noticed it was towards the Lagoon and Cove. Interesting.

She thought she was able to run away, to go to where her father was waiting in the back behind the scary adults. But then suddenly the ground was no more - heat brushed on her spine - a shiver. The ground became smaller and smaller and she heard words familiar to her ears. What poppa!!! She throws her head practically left to right to try and find him. But then the words were not of the same SOUND. It was not father, again, she frowned.

It was only moments later that she would realize that the one male had her in his mouth. Even poppa didn't carry her this way. Frantically she wiggled, odd sounds leaving her lips. " nnnahh!ghahh!" he fussed at the men. Oh, she hoped her father was nearby. Don't let these big scary men take her away!
