The lands were new to her- and as her eyes gazed upon the clouds, she noted the weather seemed intimidating to say the least. Intense rumbling shook the skies and Daenerys found herself frowning at the thought of a storm; she'd much rather keep dry.

The rumbling got louder, more intense, and her orange optics caught sight of the oncoming waters. Widening, her ears pinned back as she swiftly made note of a few others around, all seeming to be taken aback by mother nature's turn of events.

A flash flood, on her first day in these lands... her luck, no?

Inhaling a sharp breath, Daenerys made way for high ground, limbs moving swiftly and in large strides of speed, keeping keenly aware of her surroundings as well as the others struggling through this as well.

Seemed he wasn't the only one in the area. Others popped up here and there, scrambling for shelter or solutions. One earned a bewildered glance (@Arcania ♔) - was she stupid? The pit would just catch and hold the water and he wasn't eager to drown in a fucking hole.

They each seemed to have their own plans, but his attention was drawn by the dark form of a woman, and the ledge beyond which he assumed she was heading for. Now that seemed like a safer place.

Ryker dashed off, rushing to join @Genya in her race for the ledge. He supposed if they didn't make it in time, it was still better to be swept along flat ground by floodwaters than it was to be in a potential sudden lake (the pit itself). Better chances of the waters growing more shallow more quickly, or being washed toward higher ground.

Speaking of water - it was rushing by his ankles by the time he reached the ledge. And it was only once he was up on top that he turned to survey what was happening around them.

She was perfectly content to stay where she was, until a rush of wind brought the scent of the Oasis down to her. She was confident it wasn't her own, and so despite herself she popped her head over the side and... "Ah shit," she cursed as she spotted the little forms making a break for it. Why were there fucking kids out here.

Well, she'd never hear the end of it if word got out that she'd been out here and hadn't done anything to protect the cub and the yearling (who she honestly was going to assume could handle herself... except of course it was Victoria the young woman who she'd taught about poisons and who she actually gave the tiniest bit of a shit about).

So, going against all her better judgement and her better nature, she leapt from the safety she'd found for herself and set off at a dead sprint towards the water instead of away from it. Blasting past Cirilla, she spared a glance for where the woman was trying to get the younger girls to just so she knew where she ought to be headed.

"Victoria, come on!" she yelled, hoping the girl could see her bright pelt against the terrain. "Come on kid, run or get carried," she said to Leonie as she skidded up beside her, prepared to snatch her up by the scruff if need be. "That way, where the lady's pointing," she urged. There might not be enough room for all of them back there, but she figured she stood the best chance of bracing herself against the water if need be.

Assassin exp- 15EXP from swp She kept searching for a higher place to escape of the ragging waters quickly approaching in. But she could tell she wasn't the only one in such plan. She could spot more individuals, who of course she wouldn't know about in any way. Use the ledges for shelter! Someone said out loud. She was already itno it so she simply said nothing in response. Then a dark pelted woman also told her to find a safe spot, she nodded. "I know." She said a bit too dry but this was how she talked, she never talked like a sweetling, she was often right to the point even if she sounded harsh sometimes. She didn't care though if it wouldn't be fancy to others. Saying no more she finally found a high enough slope, and soon she climbed it to find herself into a safer spot .to watch the flood being our of the way of it's rage. @Dysnomia @Arcania ♔

High ground felt further and further than what it should of been. With each swift stride, each push of her muscles and each attempt to excel herself forward- it felt farther. Frustration swarmed through her veins and Daenerys let out a subtle growl of irritation, pushing herself harder.

Others were going in one direction in particular and Daenerys found herself veering towards them, bringing up the rear with a huff of air from her lungs. Limbs would extend, desperate to reach at the ledges as she aimed to heave herself up from the oncoming danger.

No, she didn’t have the time to focus on anyone but herself.

Generally, he reveled in chaos. This was a different sort, though, and he found it a little dull. Everyone scrambling to escape a flash flood, too many seeking shelter in the pit...Ryker shook himself out, ridding his fur of excess water. Behind him, the ledge seemed to offer protection enough to find a safe path out of the area, and he doubted whatever river had escaped its bounds contained enough water to cover the whole of the land.

His gaze swept toward the mountain that rose out of the center of Amaryllis behind him, the closest guarantee of high ground. Another glance was spared for the rest of the lions struggling to escape an embarrassingly watery death, and he huffed through his nose. He didn't know any of them, and so had no reason to bother ensuring any of them actually did survive.

Turning, he'd pick a careful way down the back of the small rise and do his very best to keep to a path that never put water higher than his elbows as he made for the looming form of Freyr Peak in the distance. Either he'd make it and haul himself out of the flood, or the waters would thin entirely before he reached it, or maybe he'd just be swept away, back toward the badlands. It was a little exciting, not knowing exactly what might happen.

Opium was only a couple feet off the ground when the water crashed in, quickly filling up the holes in the terrain, swallowing the rocks that others might've thought to use to the block themselves from the entirety of the wave. Water splashed against the rocks she stood upon, coating her in gathered water and making the narrow bits she stood on so very slippery to hold her position.

There were various voices yelling as other lions scrambled for safety and Opium's eyes swept over the surrounding area, pinpointing where she saw lions duck for cover or scramble out of the water just in the nick of time. The pit filled quickly, but it wasn't an enclosed space. Even if the water collected there, it soon trickled out - albeit at a slower pace. No one would drown there, but injuries were always possible.

One of Opium's back feet slipped from the narrow strip of cliff she stood upon, and while she tried to catch herself, she just didn't have enough rock or space to grip. Much to her dismay, she slid off of the jutting edge - her claws making scratch marks in the rock and gathered moss - and landed with a splash in the surging water below.

The young lioness was unaware that she’d been followed. Her focus was primarily on the weather and its impact — and especially now more than ever as she raced across the open plain in search of shelter. Fortunately, someone was looking out for her: a brown yearling, not much older than herself, called out. Léonie looked at her and saw then that she was addressing her, motioning to a nearby rock that she could climb up. “Hey, thanks! I owe ya!” the striped child hollered out as she dashed for the boulder.

But when she heard her sister’s name be called out, she turned her head about to see if @Victoria was truly there, or if she’d simply misheard. She spotted @Arcania ♔ instead, who encouraged her to hurry up, otherwise she’d be carried. “I’m going, I’m going!” she shouted back and leaned harder into her sprinting movement, trying to pick up the pace.

As she neared the boulder, Léonie hastily sprang up onto it. Her back paws scrambled behind her, claws kicking flecks of rock off as she scrambled all the way on top. For a second, she rested there to catch her breath — before realizing her sister was still out there. “Victoria?!” Léonie called out, pushing herself upright to look around for her sibling.

Ceres seemed safe enough as Dysnomia kept pace with her, not bothered by the woman's tone. Another time she might have been, but she was rather stating the obvious and to be fair no one was exactly calm in a situation like this.

She chanced a look around as they moved just in time to see Opium go down. Oh, shit, she muttered, in the general theme of the day. She took off without stopping to think about it, sprinting for the edge of the pit and skidding down to the water's edge, looking for the lioness in the water. Where are you, where are you, she repeated, prowling along the edge, ready to jump in at the slightest sight of her, or to help her out if she managed to surface on her own. Please know how to swim, she begged. She wouldn't let someone drown in front of her if there was anything she could do about it.

She fell from the cliff, and went directly into the pit, where the water sloshed and gathered, and the currents and rushes all but fought her as she tried to paddle to the surface of the pool. Eyes open under the murky water, they burned, but she fought against the rushing tide until she broke the surface of the water, almost glad to see @Dysnomia right there in front of her.

Several currents still pulled at various parts of her, and she struggled a bit to paddle forward, to reach the edge of the pit, to Dysnomia, where she could be pulled from the rushing water.
