The wind is also knocked out of the earthen colored woman. Wheezing, she stiffens her legs and heaves herself upright as she rolls using the momentum to her advantage. Talons lash out to send herself to a skid and finally a stop just a few paces from the pale man who had collided with her.

Panting now, she hears him call to her and she chuckles thinly. "Just fine, thanks. Shoulda paid more attention, sorry." the adrenaline kept her from hurting too much, although she could feel the warmth of blood soak her fur from a couple of minor gashes and scrapes. Dior would be sore in the morning, that was for sure.

The man speaks of moving the boy, and Dior is already pacing over that way with quick pawsteps. She slides her bulk under the part of the boy that the pale stranger had lifted by the scruff. The aim is to heft him onto her shoulders so that it'd be easier to get him where they needed him. He was big, but Dior could do it with the help of the other guy.

"Alright, get the other side. It'll be quicker this way." she too sees what seems to be a safe haven in the mayhem. Pebbles and large stones still rain down, but she ignores them for now. They'd soon be to safety and hopefully find a medic to assess the kid. Bended knees lift her up carefully, legs shaking a bit under the weight.

Dior looks to the other, nodding for him to join her, or guide them. She'd at least need help making sure he wouldn't fall off. The boy was only slightly lighter than her and she had practice doing this with large prey as well as fellow soldiers.

through the terror of falling into the earth's core, a string of voices slipped into her ears. her claws kept on scrabbling against the ground as it continued to shake. elke was no match for the sheer strength, but just then, legs that belong to a pale lion came into view. she heard @Sanson's response and she obeyed, using her jaws to hold onto him. she had no reason not to go gentle with it as she attempted to partially sink her fangs into the meat on instinct. then, elke felt another lion attempting to help her up through their own strength. her back legs kicked at the ledge as she started to move upwards. she hoisted herself up, letting go of sanson's paw and then rolled onto the shaking floor. but in an instant, elke was up, ears cupping forward and eyes wide with tension. thank you both she said, hurriedly. we need to leave this land.

Nero's brain was scattered. He didn't know which way was up until @Sanson called out, clearly having heard that Nero was trying to find whoever was calling out. The albino flew towards the man without thinking, but then promptly slammed on the brakes when he realized the lion was as albino as well. Nero gawked for what felt like far too long, shocked, before scrambling to assist Elke, Sanson and Aido in whatever way he could. Fortunately, the woman was up on her feet before too long and seemed no worse for the wear. "Did you see anyone else around here?" he asked, only wanting to make sure his bases were covered and no one was left behind.

His movements down the mountain were hurried, but he managed not to trip and fall or be squashed by a boulder. The voices of others direct him, until he comes upon the group who managed to dig out @Elke. He recognised the lioness and gave a relieved chuff to see them uninjured. "Is everyone alright?" He echoed, casting glances over those gathered in case anyone needed any help. "We need to get down from here, before the mountain throws us off." He was not a fan of such a thought - he wanted his paws on solid ground and sooner rather than later.

She thought of the Grotto she ought to have been visiting. She thought of the embrace she ought to be in. She thought of those dreams of their elsewheres, as the stranger scrambled up from the ledge.

Stubbornly, though she felt the slip of her step and the strain of keeping her traction, she thought happy thoughts. As though this might be the well to draw a strength she did not have. Grateful for @Sanson being greater than she was, and for the fortitude of @Elke to escape such a precarious situation. One that they all had yet to escape.

Gritting, Aidoneus gave a fervent nod of agreement, No point in hanging around here. Oof, too soon? Her eyes glanced their stare further up the slope, and then the way she'd come. The chaos about them was disorientating, and she gave a hopeful look to her fellow fugitives, @Linden, now included: Lead the way!

the first to speak to her was @Nero, an albino lion that carried the strong smell of the lagoon. elke remembered that alizabeth was part of the pride as its leader and briefly wondered if she was doing alright. i didn't see anyone else elke said. not anyone that needed saving. it seemed everyone except she had a better time navigating this terrain. she saw @Linden, his familiar face giving her reason to smile now that he was here. though elke didn't say anything, she agreed with the lion's statement.

all around them, the ground was splitting, with cracks large enough to swallow them whole. elke was still standing on shaking legs and she didn't want to suffer another fall again. but it looked like elke won't be alone on this; aside from the two men and herself, @aidoneous was also here to be part of the group. i notice the tremors are not as bad north of here she said, remembering the area she came through. but it may have reached that part too, now that time has passed. hopefully, this helped, but elke simply didn't know what else to say.

Luckily and thanks to the determination in their actions Elke was brough back to safety, leaving Sanson with a relief he couldnt comprehend, thick, embracing thankfulness with the woman making it. Don't thank me...It was my pleasure.. Our pleasure. Including the others who helped him aswell. He listens to the other's words, quiet for the time being, he would do what others wished to. He didnt like the idea of being in charge, he never did, he just liked to help others for just his wishes.

He just waits for them to lead the way, his heart on his paw as the time wasn't by their side right now. If they wanted to live another day they had to work together and do so quick.

The Grotto — her green forever, she wondered if it was lain to waste, if it was dismantled by some unseen gods. If the weight of her sins outshone the will of Amaryllis' peaks. With the rumbling beneath their feet and the cleaved slopes drawing across its' face, she could only wonder. Her eyes turned towards the way she had known, that secreted path she oft followed in search of that Eden, and her elsewhere dreams. Alaric, always that sacred light to guide her to safety. Again, arriving when she needed it most. I think I know a safe passage, come! And so she went, her heart knowing the way before her steps would. Quickly, and without hesitation, she would begin to depart. Not sure if they would follow, only knowing that she would go towards that good, sheltered path she knew to be safest to and from Freyr Peak. exit.

elke didn't want to lead the entire pack of lions when she wasn't certain if what she said remained to be true at the moment. best she could hope for was to be the eyes, looking for any tellings of another quake that was about to happen. watching the others, elke realized she could, perhaps, trust them enough to follow them. in particular @aidoneous, who was older and wiser looking. i'll remain in the back she said, to no one in particular. that way, someone could alert the others about danger. she was also in no condition to be in the middle or forefront at the moment with her legs still strained from her accident. lead the way. Nero was grateful everyone had come out .. well, he hesitated to say unscathed. Everyone had all of their appendages and that was what mattered, he guessed. Nero himself was too concerned with his own family to worry about the rest of the crowd, so when they all turned to slip away to safety, he turned back to investigate the scene further. The albino scented the air and began to check for any signs of a loved one; there were none, fortunately. That meant everyone was safe, he hoped. Nero sighed and turned back again, trotting off towards home and the comfort of the ocean.
