there were always the need to hunt new game, especially during the winter seasons. though the snow thawed easy within the rainforest, elke was still aware that a harsher storm could arrive at any moment. better to stock the cache and her personal storage before she perishes. trekking out here felt like going to another home. the garden, despite its wilted state, still looked familiar and comforting. a soft smile appeared on elke's face as she crossed the border, smelling the aroma of what little flower was left on their stalk. despite the lack of proper hiding places, prey animals still lingered here. all she had to do was settle down on her haunches and wait for their arrival.

Spring
The rain is slowly peetering out across the lands, though it is still heaviest in the east and lightest in the west. Thankfully, however, the temperature is steadly rising and the sun no longer hides behind the clouds. In celebration of the new season, the vegetation is alive and lush and plants are growing wildly across the valley. Spring is in the air!

1 Year - no bonus
Calcifer wandered further from home, her moods ever shifting. Perhaps it was the curse of being a hormonal teenager, but she certainly felt as though she could go from happy to raging in a matter of heartbeats. It was enough to get off of the island, to stretch her legs and see just how fast she could go. It was also enough to scout the territories along the way, carefully observing all that she could in order to firstly remember the way home but also to build up a mental picture of the lands she called home. The wilted garden caught her attention, alongside another - @Elke who seemed to be waiting for something. A low chuff of greeting came from the dragonling, who had slowed just enough to realise that the feline was probably hunting and perhaps could use some help.
+5 Complete a hunt in neutral territory using the hunt system (1/2)

He wasn't the only one who frequently hunted in this area it seemed. When the scent of a small gathering of lions caught his attention, Baltasar was quick to join. Others had been accommodating to him and it was only fair that he repay the favour by joining anothers hunt himself. It was second nature now to conceal his scent by staying downwind, to keep it from blowing in the path of anything unsuspecting. When both Elke and Calcifer came into sight (the tiny black teenager unfamiliar) Baltasar gave both a dip of his head before he settled in to await whatever prey came their way.

Axelle
2 yrs, no trade perks
Axelle found it easiest to hunt with strangers in the neutral territories; everyone helped one another, then everyone took their share and left. It was an easy meal, if the lions there were competent. So, when Axelle scented prey on the wind, she moved towards it, soon finding a few bodies collected in the brush amongst the barren fields of Ivelum Gardens. The place looked desolate, and what was left from the beautiful flower fields was snow-dotted dirt patches and dry bushes with only their branches to show.
A few ragtag lions lay in wait, and soon, Axelle joined them taking up the rear. This was what she specialized in, though she didn't know if any of these other lions were seasoned hunters... soon, she would. "What is on zee menu, mademoiselles et messieur?" From where she sat, she could smell an array of different species on the wind nearby. It would just be up to what they can catch with their group.
Potential XP:
sleuth

Ten years, no perks
It wasn't uncommon for him to see hunting parties out in the fields. In fact, it seemed like most of the times he came here that was what he found. It had occurred to him to save himself some time and trouble and quit coming out here for some peace and quiet, but he had a feeling that some part of him wanted to prove that he could still do these things. So, instead of avoiding the area or even turning away when he spotted the group of lions gathering, he instead approached, though he hung back somewhat from the main gathering. He wasn't going to be of much use actually bringing down whatever they were hunting, but he could certainly herd things in the correct direction still.

Learning the laws of the land had proven to be nothing more than a simplistic creation, one that a person of any other stature apart from his own could've mastered within a matter of days. Week even. However - learning to live by the state of nature and what it would provide for him was different. Uncommon, or perhaps just lost too far in the fickle memories of a day dream. It had been so long since Vághan had feasted on something other than the flesh of his own kind. Picking rations from carcasses here and there, and annihilating the unsoundly and usurper naiveness of cubs left unattended. Then there was always the morsels of meat he was given in the throes of battle. The crimson red wine that he drank of in tandem of violent tendencies as inner demons cried out unto the night with greed. Flesh that was any other than his own was a foreign thing to him now. For the last time he had ever tasted anything so sweet, so delectable as that of another creatures death was cub-hood. A time that had been drowned in the deep memories of crimson that coated his fangs and tainted his mind.
So - when the opportunity to learn of the delectability's of this new world comes. Vághan fully intends on taking it by the throat. Smothering it between vagrant and heavy hands and dining within the pleasures of learning just how sweet another's blood could taste as it slid down his throat. What is on zee menu, mademoiselles et messieur? Magenta eyes cut unto the strange figure, something about the accent falling far too familiar within his ears for comfort. "Maybe it's you, kedvesem" He teases...or was it really teasing? He doesn't know at this point. Hunger was a disease and if not satiated it was hard to distinguish between reality and imagination. He hoped it would be the former.

Axelle
A deep voice caught her ears as she looked forward, awaiting someone to make a decision on what they were going to be hunting so that she could start her tactics. Ears trained backwards at the voice, and her head soon followed, resting her slitted eyes upon a white-maned lion behind her. He had a dark face and paws, but a gray pelt. He was rather handsome, and the twinge of danger to his tone aroused the predator inside of her. She wanted to know more. He joked like she did, and she caught onto a hint of something that neither of them knew about each other.
"I 'ope not," she answered, offering a wry smile. "I would be 'ard to catch, and even 'arder to eat." She raised a brow at him, dipping her chin and offering him a seductive look. She wouldn't mind giving this male a run for his money, though.
She flicked her tail and trained her ears back to the others. Had anyone made a decision yet?

Their attempt was a success, though he thought that had been expected given how many of them there were. Though their catch wasn't incredibly large, the workout had made him slightly hungry, and so Tobin would take a small chunk of their catch for himself and settle down in the mass of plants to have a little meal. It meant he wouldn't have to take anything from the pride cache today, and that to him seemed a fair trade off for not bringing anything back from the hunt, as he wasn't too interested in fighting those gathered for a larger portion.

He is God. Or, perhaps his sickly counterpart that spills black ink upon parchment papers. For his presence is not mundane in the mortal plane, but is unnerving to all of those who stand within the reach of his torn and soiled alabaster wings. To be matched by hell's quaking within heavens lavishing tongue of hymn is not that of what he would expect, and yet - it brings delight unto his inner demon. Coils their frame unto sickening pretzels as they thrum within a blood curdling cry of delight. Vághan's lips twitch upwards into a half amused grin as he fights the inner urge to pursue the woman adjacent from his frame. Oh - I do enjoy a chase. He quips back with his own sickening seductiveness, as if their mortuary display of public affairs was meant for a setting such as these. He half expects the crowd to tell them to get a room, other half-expects them to simply just tell them to leave. But their reprieve does not come.
The assault is quick and bloody, he wonders if the creatures would've ever stood a chance between the sea of vagrant hounds. Surely not. For they had cut off their source of escape in any shape or form, even if they had given the some sort of departure route they surely wouldn't have gotten for with hungry dogs upon their backs. Vághan is hesitant - staring blankly at the corpses before the greenery as if to question what now? It had been so long since he had tasted the fresh dicing of flesh that was not of his own kind - wasn't this in some sort of way taboo to his heritage? It is what they had started on, so why would it matter if it were something that he capitalized upon? Food was food damn it.
He severs and tears and slices his pickings with some sort of begrudging vortex, but takes his share of their cache either way. With a final glance to the crow he would huff - a murmur then a twitch of bloodied lips. A malac sütni fog a magasban. A bated breath pulls the corners of his eyes unto an uncertain flicker as the beast courts his piece of meat - pulling the flesh taut unto his chest with a small rumble of warning from his chest. Búcsú.
