October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

in the beginning...
...the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
The absence of fear was as the sound of silence.
When her mother woke, it took the daughter a moment to follow suit. She'd heard the cry--who in the entire land hadn't?--but didn't find any familiarity in it. It was a call for violence, sure, but the lion who bellowed it held no significance to this adolescent. As such, by the time Calypso had gathered herself and departed, she was only just rolling to her paws. When she emerged from the den, she saw the form of her mother nearly to the far shore.
      And she stood there, bewildered.
The state of them both had been shaky at best--shells held together with duct tape--and seeing her mother leave with such haste rang alarm bells in her mind. Yet her heart did not seize with fear. Her breath was not stolen by terror at what might happen if Calypso answered the call. She knew, by logic and common sense, that she should have felt something. Should have been wild with absolute horror that they would be separated again. Instead... there was only the desire to follow. It unsettled her. Deeply.
Having checked the second-den and found it void of the bag her mother stuffed with healing items, the adolescent did the next best thing; She raided the garden for a few choice plants that might aid with staunching blood flow and stifling pain. Her over-long canines formed a cage to hold the bunch in a secure grip, and she tried not to let her tongue linger on the leaves. Then she was off and away, swimming to the mainland.
The chaos of the scene was heard far before it was viewed; The roars of fury and screams of pain echoed across half the continent. And still, there was no fear. Eyes to the ground, she followed the prints left by her mother with dutiful focus. Into the fray without a care, she tracked without distraction. A body slammed into her right side, sending her sprawling to her left with a rush of exhalation--not an attack, but merely the effect of coming to close to battle. This didn't stop her. She regained her paws and continued on, straining her eyes and senses to tune out the rage and keep to her goal.
A stray claw swiped down her left thigh, eliciting a grunt and side-skip from the adolescent. The skin there stretched before creating a ragged split, small yet still bleeding. She ignored it, for she had caught sight of Calypso. And Hakon next to her. With nothing more, she shoved her way through the throng and toward the pair's location. She took no less than two more strikes--one an outstretched back-paw, one another accidental tackle--before she arrived, leaving her fur bedraggled and spattered with blood that wasn't hers.
"'ma." The word was quiet against the backdrop of war, but it was there, and it was solid. Having dropped her bundle to her paws, she gave a nod to Hakon in thanks for his comfort. It was clear that her mother was not dealing well. "'ma. I'm here." Pale eyes try to catch the man's, a silent communication of appreciation. "We're here." Then she pressed herself to Calypso's other side, shifting her weight so as to squeeze the lioness between her daughter and her lover; A weighted blanket of safety.
Even here, where the stink of execration and hemoglobin combined with dust and grit, there was no fear. When there should be.

Alaric knew that there were things happening -- he knew that chaos had errupted on the grounds of the Mire -- he just did not have the time to think about it. His focus was the fight, even if an ear flicked back at the familiar snarls of his wife and he knew there was a chance she would not live to see tomorrow.

There was no time for that; he had his own crown to defend. If the worst were to happen his children would need the stability of a pride even more.

His claws managed to find their grip on her right shoulder, sinking deep in to the flesh there and he snarls his pleasure. There was no sign of regret for hurting her, not when she had come barging in and fighting for his home.

But -- but! -- as he sought to hold her in place he felt her shift, pulling back and away from his claws, no doubt leaving significant damage behind. Alaric hisses and drops his paw, giving up on the idea of holding her in place and feeling her surge forward again as a result.

His teeth, thankfully, find their mark in the back of his neck -- Alaric holds tight, clenching his jaw and attempting to give a slight shake of his head, seeking to worsen whatever damage he was doing. Due to his grip on the back of her neck her own teeth do not find their mark, instead he feels them graze his left foreleg as it drops back down. Her teeth tear flesh and leave him bleeding, again, but he does no more than grunt with displeasure.

The girl shifts again, hefting herself from the ground despite the grip he had, slashing out with both of her front paws towards his mane. Thankfully Alaric's mane is his pride and joy for a reason -- it is full and thick and keeps his neck well protected. In addition their current position (at the near t they had started in, since neither had moved their hips much) meant that her claws did not quite land near the top of his neck but lower down, tearing out some clumps of mane but not reaching through it. Another hiss pulled from his lips -- it stung, and he expected there would be some minimal bleeding where his mane was now missing -- but he stayed focused on his own attacks.

With his teeth busy -- still seeking to maintain his hold -- he uses the only other weapon he had, his claws.

Alaric wrenches his right foreleg from the ground again, seeking to lift it higher than before, attempting to sink his claws in near the top of her front left shoulder, along her withers. He wants to pull her back down to the ground (forcing her claws away from his mane), while also doing whatever damage he can in the process.

She lumbered forward in a mess of panic, herbs and medicine clasped tightly between her teeth as she made her way in the direction of the mire. she did not know what cassandra had been thinking when she had decided to challenge alaric for his pride — especially now that she knew the depth of the danger that he posed — but nymeria could do nothing now but to standby and watch, helplessly, as it all unfolded before her and the rest of their kin.

except for that it was far, far worse than a simple challenge for the throne.

it was chaos. pure, white, seething chaos.

the world around nymeria was caked in blood and gore, the cries of colliding bodies and open wounds echoing mercilessly within her ears as the world spun within her peripheral. nymeria found herself nearly stricken with shock as she teetered on the edge of the tree-line, eyes wide and the colour draining from those soft, wheaten cheeks quicker than she could even do much as blink. magnus had warned them, or tried to, but she had had no idea that hell would befall them all so soon. why, why so soon? it was only when the numbness began to creep into her chest that the trembling of nymeria’s legs subsided, though the bewilderment of her expression remained poignant and raw across her complexion all-the-while. she knew not what to do - not really, anyways -, and so it was anxiously that the druid would await an opportunity to assist, with the sole hope of doing some good amongst so much evil.

nymeria is standing by waiting to heal or evacuate others!

he can see that he's getting through to her - winning the mental battle. she's gathering her limbs and she's getting ready to jump and his eyes narrow all the more. perhaps he'll steal her away - or perhaps he'll actually do the honorable thing and challenge for her. yeah, right.

but before she can join him, there's a flurry of activity and violarum slams into him. his shoulder hits him hard enough that it shoves the air from his lungs but his head is swinging to his right, open jaws seeking to retaliate instinctively. the turning of his skull changes vio's target and instead of his ear, the mire man's teeth snap shut on the side of annie's cheek, tearing the flesh in a ragged line and clamping on a mouthful of fur and hanging flesh. he curses under his breath as he catches his breath, wheezes, and drops towards the ground, keeping his hips under him, so that he would practically be laying on the ground. this will likely rip the male's hold loose ( and a lot of fur and flesh, too ) but his open jaws are attempting to catch the mire gentry's ankle and bite down like a bulldog with a bone.

apparently just showing up made her a target.

not that she was upset about that.

louve watched the fighting with hungry eyes, paying more attention to her mother than anything else of course. her claws flexed and unflexed, body tensed and ready for whatever came her way.

it didn't take long for fate to find her, and she might have laughed at the small girl who decided to give it a try. the child barrelled at her from the right and louve instinctively swung her hips to the left, intending to keep her opponant well and clear in her sights. they collide and she braces for it, but still there will be bruisiing -- she can feel it almost immediately settle in to her right shoulder, the icy burn that tells her it will be sore tomorrow.

but now? now the adrenaline keeps the pain at bay, and as teeth flash towards her she is more than happy to return the favour. cirilla's teeth land on louve's right cheek rather than her neck (due to her re-positioning) and it is a shallow bite at best. enough to draw blood but not enough to maim -- not yet, at least.

louve retaliates, then, lifting her front left paw from the ground at the same time she dove down with her head. away from cirilla's teeth, attempting to sink her own in to the front of the girl's neck (just below her head). meanwhile her claws slash towards the sigrun's right shoulder, fully extended and hoping to do as much damage as she can.

erna immediately lets go of both attacks, her paw hitting the ground and her teeth disengaging from her forechest/neck. the bitch pivots and saga's attack scores wounds across her ribs - the jarl can feel the bones bumping under her claws and she flexes, trying to dig in her claws in and get a hold between the ones, intending to pull as hard as she can in an attempt to fucking break one. her teeth dig into erna's shoulder and a chunk of flesh comes loose from the mire woman in her jaws. rather than struggling to spit it out past her slicing fangs, the sigrún swallows abruptly, clearing her jaws so that she can keep fighting.

saga tries to follow the woman's movement, swinging her hips away from the spatial pressure where she can feel erna lurking - her jaws swinging to her right, open and aiming to snatch the skin on the woman's face, near her nose, and bite down hard. simultaneously the rike's own jaws slash out, reaching for the right side of her face and, with the movement, instead slicing along saga's lower jaw. fangs puncture through her cheek, tear along her gums, and she looses a roar of rage and pain into her opponent's face. the rike's claws slam into her upper right shoulder, from her turn, and the left side of her neck, below the curve of the jaw.

Her assault lands by the woman's ribcage, and through her prior endeavor to rip away, Charax attempts to worsen any damage and similarly avoids any severe injury from Shiva's hind toes. The pale woman's talons scrape down the left edge of her muzzle, thankfully missing her eyes, carving away fur and peeling through skin to leave a trail of blood in their wake.

Charax scowls, adrenaline coursing readily, loathing her opponents new distance as she withdraws. In those fleeting few moments of separation the clay lioness regathers herself, stabilizing her limbs as the stranger lurches back into assault. Again, swinging at her face. Charax retaliates as Shiva expects, attempting to catch the flying fore-toes within her jaws with a ruthless endeavor to crunch and shake.

This is the start of how it all ever ends. They used to shout my name, now they whisper it.

⚓︎sound seems to be sucked out of her surroundings, as if she is pulled in to a vacuum. silent, floating, bodiless -- reminiscent of the mist. there is a high pitched hum in her ears that drowns out everything else, a white noise that erases all the screams and cries and snarls.

calypso scrambled for some kind of stable ground, some measure of balance in a world of chaos.

as the sounds return her eyes focus -- and what she sees first sends her tumbling back in to the depths of her mind.

she has no eyes

not real. not real. notrealnotrealnotreal.

calypso closes her own eyes, swaying again in her place, blocking everything out as she fights the urge to run away. fights to ground herself, to remind herself that this was not the mist, this was real.

this terror, this horror... this was not going to disappear the next day. these wounds (slashed across the faces of those around her) would not erase.

then...

then he comes.

there is no care for who might see, no worry for their present location. calypso leans heavily against him, opening her eyes again and seeking the familiar seafoam. "her has no eyes," she whispered, "her has no eyes." there is something like panic toying with the edges of her tone, a fear that matches his. no eyes, and fighting to the death.

"real? aye?" grasping, frantically, and the calypso of before would have been horrified at the fear in her voice. "real?"

when @Grit comes she knows it is. when grit comes and presses herself to her other side, calypso visibly relaxes. if this was not real, she would not be able to touch her daughter. "aye. aye, yer here." there is a small shake of her head as if she is physically clearing her thoughts.

calypso straightens between them and finally reaches to brush her lips across grit's head, and then across hakon's cheek. a silent assurance that she was okay -- even if she very clearly was not.

Vio might have done a little happy dance about the rather dramatic effect of his assault, had the situation been a little less pressing. He's almost taken aback by the force of his own efforts, watching gleefully as the piebald male virtually buckled beneath him.

Of course, the momentum pulled his jaws free of a very fleeting assault upon Antares' face, but Vio didn't care in the least given the ego-boost that had resulted from the younger guy's stagger. The male is far from done however, and Violarum's hesitation to continue the brawl renders him surprised by a sudden pain upon his left ankle.

It is a clamp of potential devastation, agony sending a course of adrenaline through his veins as his opponents teeth pierce into the skin and squeeze against ligaments. Instinctively, Violarum seeks to reach down, attempting to bite the male over the top of his snout. In the same breath, his right foreclaws attempt a fleeting swipe towards the left side forehead area; attempting to threaten the Gentry's face enough to persuade him free.

The fluffy girl was blind to the chaos raging on around the pair, blind to anything but her own fight at the moment. She had to succeed - had to do this, regardless of what everyone else would think. While the young girl had no idea of the truth depth of what her challenge for the Mire had started, she just knew she was tired of someone else being responsible for her fate. That's all that mattered to Cassandra at the moment. She had to focus on her own fight.

Normally she would care that she was trying to take someone's home, but things had been taken from her so much that she wanted to try to get just a smidge of control back over her own life. Give herself a say in her own fate, and do something about her situation in life herself for once. Her tail lashed side to side, and Cassandra suppressed a snarl of pain as his claws were ripped from her shoulder. She would definitely need some help after this fiasco she'd gotten herself into...

Due to how they were positioned, her teeth were unable to find purchase on her own mark - rather grazing along his left foreleg as it dropped back down to the ground. He shook his head with his teeth still buried in her scruff area, and she felt more flesh tear at the location. Her wild slashes from her front legs at his chest/mane area didn't puncture flesh, but she still felt the long fur of his mane tear beneath her claws. Her paws landed back on the ground on the ground as his claws landed on the top of her left shoulder along her withers - and she felt him applying pressure as he did so. Her legs would shake slightly under the pressure, but she would not bend under the pressure. She was stronger than he knew, and she would not allow herself to be shoved to the ground and made to bow down to him.

A ferocious and feral growl escaped Cassandra as she aimed to lift her left front leg (shifting her weight to be focused on her other three legs if she was able to) and move it towards Alaric's face - aiming to dig her claws deep into the wounds already on the right side of his face (specifically aiming for the area around his jaws on the right side) and to make him release the grip he had on her scruff.
