It seemed as though they wouldn't need to pack everything up and head out just yet, as Seneca came out the victor. Good. She hadn't really been looking forward to the idea of digging up her garden and trying to take some of it with her. She'd put quite a bit of effort into it after all.

The others began to filter out and she joined them, having no reason to stick around any longer. She wasn't anywhere close to a healer herself, so she might as well not linger. She could go back to her garden now and tend to it, knowing that it was safe for a little while longer.

He watched the battle somewhat tensely, but in the end Seneca proved himself quite the capable fighter. That wasn't a surprise to him, having seen the man in action before, but things could go wrong for even the most experienced warrior. Today, that wouldn't be the case for the sovereign, who would retain his crown. And, surprisingly, additional fights hadn't broken out around the pit, leaving the bystanders unaffected. Good. Evidently, such things could be peaceful. Or, relatively so anyway.

With their pride secured once again, there was no reason for him to linger any longer, so he rose to join the exodus of lions to head back home.

It would seem as though no one would come looking for him, and that the Oasis king would retain his crown. He knew the Hollow wasn't allied with the desert lions despite how close their prides were, but he remembered the pleasant conversation he'd had with the man's wife when attempting to find the parents of the cub they'd found in the mist. He hoped their own children had found their way back home, and knew that it was good they would still have a home to return to.

Now that he knew who had kept the crown, it was time to head out the same way he had come in. Roan didn't need to be updated on the events, as he had seen his own sovereign present with a pair of his children, but it was still good that he had gone.

From what he could gather, based on the bits of scent and conversation brought to him on the breeze, a large number of spectators belonged to one of two prides. The one being challenged for, and the one the challenger probably hailed from (bit harder to determine that all the way above them). The posturing and what he could glean from the way the victor's attention shifted to another man had him assuming he was at least someone of importance to the challenger. Ruler, maybe, but not necessarily. Could be some kind of higher representative than the loser.

No matter how he tried, of course, he'd never catch all the exact details over the general chatter of the crowd, and the distance between himself and the main event. It was enough for him to know there were at least two prides that had clashed here for some reason. Whether that reason was no more than a young upstart looking to take a piece of land himself, or if the groups had been in conflict before, Edward couldn't say. He'd probably find out later, if this escalated to anything more than a simple territorial challenge. Hell, maybe the one the dark patch man came from had a higher strategical value than the one the loser belonged to, or better land and resources. He wouldn't know that for sure until he did a lot more exploring and mapping on his own.

The crowd was dispersing, though, and Edward found himself fancying a quick bite and a nap in the sand back at the Cay before he put any more effort into familiarizing himself with the lands. He'd rise and make his way back toward the crew's base, considering nipping in to the first territory he passed to see what their stores might offer.

+5 (2/2) Attend a spar or challenge to assess the wounds @Indra's arrival would be noted as he flopped down next to her, shifting a little so that she were also now pressing against him softly for emotional support. She wished she could be as lackadaisical about this event like her brother, but with how she seemed to have been the target to be bullied and made fun of due to the color of her fur and how she used to wheeze and cough a lot as a cub it made Jiera become closed off and more reserved on who she decided to spend her time with. Green eyes would redirect back toward the battle, watching as Seneca and the challenger continued to bloody up one another. Ears would fall flat onto her skull as she followed their movements, beginning to wonder how she would fare in any sort of fight. On baited breath would she wait until the challenge was finally over, the Miroslav man coming up on top and still reigning King of Andal. And although she were upset that his daughters wouldn't be ousted from their thrones she couldn't help but feel a little happy that he would continue to keep the Oasis under his control. With a sigh would she glance at Indra and then @Aarani, rising back onto all fours. "Ready?" The question to leave would be spoken in a soft tone, watching them for a moment before taking off in the direction both she and her mother had come from. exit Jiera.

Turned out he was just in time to witness the victory of the Oasis king against the man who'd challenged. He didn't have any investment in either pride, so the result was more a curious bit of information than anything that might truly affect him.

There was one curiosity drifting on the wind, mingled with the usual scent of many lions in one place. Something still feline, vaguely familiar but exotic all the same. His curious gaze would eventually pinpoint the most likely source - a small pink thing that looked...rather like a leopard, but not quite right. Bulkier, fluffier, even for a cub. That was interesting. Doubtless, once the crowd dispersed, he'd lose track of it and the mystery would simply sit and fester in the back of his mind.

Distracting from, that, snippets of a disagreement would reach him. And again he reminded himself how helpful it was to remain alert in crowds. Some young girl (Olive) seemed to have gotten herself swept up into the Oasis without her input. It brought a small frown to his face - that any group allowed members to steal a woman's freedom...it didn't sit right with him. Not that there was much he could do about it, he knew how well butting into situations uninvited went, and he didn't have the energy for that sort of conflict at the moment.

Soon enough, however, the crowd began to disperse, and he'd be take his leave as well. He had other things to do to fill his time, this event was only a distraction.

INDRA

the world's most pointless superhero

Indra watched the fight for a while, but in the end, it would be Seneca still reigning supreme of the Oasis. He didn't rightly understand the occurrence of a challenge. What made it a good time to challenge a king for his home? Why this pride? Why here in the pit and not on Andal's doorstep? All such questions that the gothic boy wouldn't understand for a very long time, if ever. Leading a pride was not something he ever foresaw for himself. It wasn't in his blood, even if Aarani had ruled the Andal for a little while.

With the show over, Indra lazily lifted himself from his comfortable spot all cozied up next to his sister. "Yeah. Let's go," he muttered with a nod. No big shake up would take place in Amaryllis today, for once. It wasn't like he cared much about the fight anyway. The yearling was only present to help keep an eye on their healing mother. With that, the punk would follow after @Jiera, content to go wherever his family went.

The main event — her dad and the challenger ripping each other up — eventually pulled her attention away. She was not surprised to see her dad come out the victor, but there was no denying the relief that washed over her as he successfully defended the Oasis from an enemy who had been sent by the Mire. Her eyes studied the spotted king as he addressed his opponent, then followed him as he spoke to another. She tried to catch his remark by studying the movement of his mouth, but she would need more practice before she could really crack it.

With the battle over and the crown still resting on her dad’s head, Léonie glanced at the dispersing crowd. It looked like the spectacle was over. More than satisfied with the outcome, the smiling child peeled herself away from her hiding place and slithered off for home.

He watched the battle with an intense sort of interest from where he remained hidden. The clay colored male did not reign as victor from the fight he summoned, and so Eskel just focused on marking their faces and the many scents of those that were gathered. After all, he was an information sort of guy.

There seemed to be some other tension going on in the watching group and for a few moments he watched that with interest, but made no move to do anything more than remain in his hiding spot. Here he was at his strongest- his most useful position.

He remains unseen and unchallenged, and so when the battles are over- he takes his leave.
