Vitae was out and just... well, he was out. He was worried that Haros would disappear again and so he had gotten into the habit of checking to make certain that the mist hadn't returned to steal Haros away again. He wouldn't be able to stand losing the other once again.

It was while he was out on mist patrol that he came across the gazelle. It wasn't much but it was something, right? Vitae sent up a call for the pride to alert them as to what he had found.

Iofiel ended up heeding the call for a hunt. He would turn out for these events and add his own weight to these things. The Oasis had seen success for these things for awhile and the medic was glad for that. It felt good to keep a full cache. Members here didn't have to worry about ever going without as had happened in his nomadic birth pride before.

When Iofiel got to where the call originated from there was only one other lion there. It had to be the one whom had called for the hunt in the first place. Iofiel gave a silent nod and waited for others to show up.

5 years, no bonus winter creeps on, inevitable. the weather turns cool and cooler and the azar does her best to stay warm. here in the oasis, it does not effect them near as bad as it would elsewhere, but her fur is short and she is not built for dips in the temperature like this. so when the call goes out she is keen to attend, knowing that a good bit of hunting might get the blood up enough to get her body temperature up, too. or, at least, that's the plan. there are two lions already here and she settles in amongst them, shooting the familiar healer a small smile. then golden ears tip, ready to get focused on their prey of choice today.

5 years, no bonus It is strange to think of things as being...normal. Seneca had all but forgotten what that meant, and he had retreated from any semblance of socializing in favor of finding the lost, and keeping the Oasis in (mostly) one piece. He is hesitant to be comfortable in this new state of peace, and he is forever wary of their troublesome northern neighbor, but for now — for today, he focuses on the task at hand. He joins the gathering pride in silence, having heard Vitae's summons that he had found something, and crests the ridge to approach them. His ears swivel towards the gazelle below; it should be an easy kill.

The scent of freshly drawn blood lured Léonie out from her den and into the open. Her nose guided her to the scene of a successful hunt, where a gazelle had been captured. The creature would barely feed the hunting party, let alone even one of them, so she doubted there would be any leftovers for her — not that she was overly hungry, in spite of how famished she appeared. It would take some time for her to fully recover from her brush with death, but she was healing. At the very least, she was well enough to leave her bed and make her way over to the hunting party. “Dad?” she inquired as she reached them, her focus largely on the antelope. “Can I have the skull?”

The prey falls easily enough, the typical cohesion of Andal's hunting parties lending them a success today as well. A gazelle isn't much for a pride to feed upon, and none of it will likely end up in the cache, but not every meal can be a buffet. @Léonie is drawn in no doubt by the scent of blood and the sound of a scuffle, pulling the king's attention with her soft query. A slight simper quirks across the edges of his lips, and he deposits the haunch he'd claimed for himself in the sands before her. "Eat first," he ushers, though it doesn't take him long to oblige her request, forcefully wrenching the prey animal's head from its body whilst she is busy with her meal. Trust a Miroslav princess to make such a request, even in her bleak state — it proves well enough that his blood runs through her veins. In the end, he gifts the skull to Léonie and lets her make off with it, though he trails after her, not quite so eager to let her out of his sight these days. Exeunt Seneca

It wasn't much of a kill but it was kill nonetheless. It was some small morsel to be had in the least. It was some form of accomplishment even if nothing would be left to cart off. Heck, there wouldn't even be enough there to fill all of the bellies that had shown up. Vitae didn't really care about that though. There was only one belly he was concerned with and that belly belonged to someone whom hadn't shown up to the hunt.

The lilac man leaves the hunting group in order to go look for Haros. He takes none of the kill for himself. No, let the others have the snack pieces. He could find something else after making certain that his mate was doing okay.

The gazelle was downed and the daughter was fed. There was really nothing else left to do. The party was small but it hardly mattered since the prey didn't put up much of a fight. As usual the pale lion said his prayers and offered up respect and thanks for the sacrifice that the prey animal had made.

Once this was done the medic made his own exit. He never took a portion of these kills. This was food for the pride and its cache, not for him. He could always find his own morsel of something to eat. He didn't need to take from the pride to do so.
