The sound of a crowd and clashing bodies drew the auburn woman to the scene, the humidity of the forest swaddling her thick form as she drew past the forest borders and towards the fun. Pointed ears arched forward and her hazel eyes glinted as interest livened her expression, her pupils darting briefly over the bodies that had accrued before settling on the figures that captured the crowd’s attention. It was here that her focus lingered, and the woman paused several lengths away, alone, to observe their fight.

Fascination and appreciation were roused within her at the sight of them; a colossal would-be king showcasing his might against a minuscule would-be queen, who did not seem lacking in her own set of weapons. Tanaz could not help but appreciate her grit and bravery – or was it recklessness? – to fight her much larger opponent, and it inspired the cinnamon-haired woman to wonder at the would-be queen’s motivation.

She cast a brief glance over the crowd of faces, noting those who were distantly familiar and those who remained strangers with the mind of a socialite. But her attention was recaught by the fight rather quickly, and the lioness would wait with bated breath to see who might emerge as victor.

Basira enjoyed having all eyes on her.

Typically she revelled in being the centre of attention, but given the amount of strangers present and the fact that she - like so many others - were trespassing.... Well, this time she would seek to keep a low profile. The Cove was still such a fledgling pride under the Najma regime, so she would do well to not draw too much attention to herself. The air here was dank, and reminded her of the jungles she and Sahir had trekked through to escape the homeland. That reason alone could be enough to put her off staying for long, but she was determined to learn the result of this fight. It was information she could feed back to Sahir and the others; useful information, too. So she would remain - for now. Hopefully these two - whoever they were - wouldn't take long. Slinking down into the long shady grasses Basira would wait, silently, for the conclusion.

Keir had been exploring through Aniadar Jungle when he heard the call ring out. It caught him off-guard, surprise written across his face before it brought up a smirk. Hearing Ransom lay claim to the Rainforest meant one thing: Zoticus had vacated the spot and he had one less enemy in power. He didn't really care what had happened to the pink brute, he only cared that he no longer ruled. Paws would carry him swiftly toward Firnen, blue gaze watching his surroundings as he slipped past the stale borders and toward the crowd.

He would slow to a walk once arrived, watching the fight between his newfound brother and some unknown lioness. She seemed quite small, especially compared to the goliath, but he knew that one should never underestimate size. Catching sight of @Roan then would Keir move toward him, catching the conversation he were having with @Amara. He is my brother, the obsidian lion would comment, eyes leveling upon the two of them. His name is Ransom. Ears would flick as he reclined back onto his haunches, attention being drawn back to the fight at hand.

he was a little late to the party, it would seem. alaric hung back as the others moved towards the call. his interest was piqued, of course, but so, too, was his concern. not only that but he knew it could be risky to show his face at firnen, where he was losing an ally. hopefully he could gain another. he ensured the children were safe, tucked away in their den (too young, yet, he thought) before he moved towards the rainforest. once at the scene of the fight he scanned those gathered, noting a few interesting groups (namely the one of roan, amara and keir) before moving towards the group of mire lions. he settled nearly @Ilarion, listening in on the conversation but adding nothing of his own. for now he would watch, minding his words, treading carefully. +10 - observe a challenge""

She was late to the party, but hey, at least she was fuckin' here. Alizabeth came in on the scene with head held high. Despite being MIA as of late, she'd at least had a good reason this time. Mostly that reason was that she'd been stuck and unable to get back, but it was what it was and she'd explain to Ransom. Had he noticed her absence? Ears press back in mild annoyance, but as soon as she noticed @Dysnomia her expression swept into a neutral expression. Approaching the woman, she let out a heavy sigh before glancing to her mate as he fought. While she was proud of him, this didn't exactly line up with her own desires. Though, perhaps it would benefit them both that he was fighting for this pride. His opponent was some tiny bitch, and while she wasn't normally one to assume anything about someone's size, she was a bit...too small. Speed could only get you so far. Lips quivered, peeling back a bit. "Lil' girl got balls challenging a beast like Ransom." Her tattered ear flicks a bit in amusement as she muttered to the woman beside her.

+10 Successfully stay hidden for the duration of a thread* (x2 exp event) +5 Practice speed or stealth (x2 exp event) +5 Collect herbs (x2 exp event) The rainforest beckoned to Elora: the crisp winter wind, pregnant with the scent of the fallen kingdom and the abundance that lay within its unprotected borders, whistled its temptation to the reclusive healer. She had debated whether to heed its call, but in the end, surrendered to its invitation and found herself stepping lightly across the faded borders with a wary enthusiasm. It was humid here, this portion of the continent hardly touched by the cold season that was sweeping across the world, and its environment made for a robust arrangement of flora that could not be found anywhere else. This was the primary reason the healer-assassin was present, although she slunk near enough to the crowd to hear its commotion. Monarchies seemed to change with the weather, and the albino woman found her pale eyes occasionally darting through the trees to the silhouettes of the others, her folded ears pulling forward by the noises that echoed through the trees; but she did not approach. Elora remained low and quiet, keeping to the shadows, flitting into light only when a familiar leaf or hue caught her eye. She remained wary and alert as she scavenged for herbs, distractedly curious of the business of the rainforest crown, but not enough to intentionally reveal herself. Elora is attempting to stay hidden.

It is the only familiar face he can seem to coerce within the crowd, and while every other molecule inside of him would scream to flee, find Aidoneus, there is something about the swamp man that draws him in closer. Like a cobra hypnotized within it's prey, Icarus slinks forward with meager ability to grasp on what coerces such violence from the land in little time. "@Alaric!" Icarus had stored his memory away for a time that would be more poignant than that of challenges, but it seemed that this is merely the only place the two can find connoisseurs within. The black hole sun nearly feeling guilty for taking his sisters eye candy from way, but if she is married, then there is nothing more than free game to be had in this time. Even if sin eats heavily at the throat of rotting decay, Icarus finds solace before the cold and demanding brute. His intrigue something that stems from a memories past - yet, not tainted enough to warranted him to let go. "What happens now?" He rounds upon the kinds side, gawking faintly for just how his towering frame swallows him whole next to him. It is something that he has become too acquainted with upon his dwelling within Hades, power was attractive, as much so as it were when used properly. Alaric seemed like a man to use such thing within proper standards, a man to build him up and break him down in a way that is more tragic than that of his own Apollo. It is a painful guilt that envelopes him like the milky ways gravitating pull, ripping him apart with such force that he can only come to adhere to liking the destruction that it brings. Violence was the only universal language that they used here...

Others would arrive, but he was momentarily distracted by @Kinki as she greeted him and then turned to talk about the lioness winning. “Good idea.” He would comment with a wink, before his gaze would shift to @Ghyslaine, her nod being met with one of his own in greeting to her. Another would arrive, gathering more of his attention. Zelda. Her greeting would cause his head to tilt ever so slightly in curiosity. Had she met his comrades already? Regardless, her cheerful greeting towards Kinki would grant her a smirk and a look of approval. “Indeed. We have quite a bit to catch up on it seems…” He’d comment, his gaze turning back to the fight. @Ilarion would arrive, asking if they knew what had happened to Arjana and her husband and he would shake his head. “No, Arjana was in the passage recruiting last I had seen… I’m not sure about her husband.” He’d answer, gaze shifting to Zelda briefly.

Eventually, it was his Kings arrival that would capture his attention, noting how he sat near Ilarion and listening, but not partaking in the conversation. Ronin would shrug it off, perhaps he had nothing to add. Another would curl around the King, one he did not know and the Sovereign found himself tensing ever so slightly. Words were spoken, a question was made, what happens now? Indeed. What would happen now? Ronin would quirk a brow, adding to the question, but he knew that there would be no answer until the fight was finished. If Ransom won, they would have an enemy at their doorstep, if he lost, Ronin was confident that @Alaric would offer aide in return for an alliance.

He is surprised to find Icarus, there, turning to the sibling with an interested expression. A tip of his head to invite him to his side, though it would seem it was unnecessary as the other male was already moving. "@Icarus," he greets in return, for the name was important enough to remember. A quick look for his sister, masking the disappointment he felt when he did not immediately see her, before he focused his attention on the brother.

"Now we wait." A faint shrug as he looked back at the fight, hoping that the female would manage to fell the enemy. "I am rooting for her, though," he offered as an aside, his voice low and meant only for those in his immediate vicinity. His eyes rose briefly to @Ronin as well, a faint nod of acknowledgement. While they stood on tumultuous ground he still respected and trusted the brute, and had no interest in any further petty squabbles.
