The Andal Sovereign stretched her pacing to beyond the desert—a returned habit—and towards the unexplored corners of Amaryllis. The steps were decisive, and swift, a churning of hunger and need. Need for exploration, for the crispness of the air beyond her arid home. To feel the sweeping of chilled air rushing against her cheeks and lips, to give chase where there lay no sand underfoot. A scent flooded her senses and with it came a rise of adrenaline. Their tracks lay loose beneath her step, leaving the foliage tousled and bent by steps that were not her own. Searching her peripherals for shape and sound of any other waylaying hunters, she steadied herself on the trail laid before her. A hunt, that was precisely what she needed: a hunt.

Ten years, no perks

He enjoyed spending time in the glade, but the more he did so the more he discovered that others did the same... but for hunting. It wasn't the first time he'd seen a hunter on the prowl from another pride, but it was one of the first times that he'd recognized them. That more than anything else caused him to rise and approach, moving to join her. He wasn't as useful in a hunt as a younger model would be, but surely he could find some way to be of assistance. He had been recently, after all. Besides, he had no doubt that there would be other hunters to come along as well.

He wasn't following the sovereign initially, but when he saw that she was on the trail of prey he did turn to join her, picking up on the trail as well. It wasn't long until he caught up with her, but there was another, older male there as well by the time he joined her. Seraphiel had to privately wonder how much use he would be with his lean frame and likely blind eye, but he wasn't going to attempt to dissuade him from lending his assistance. For all he knew the man was a masterful hunter. Besides, if nothing else another body could always be useful.

4yo, Lvl 4 Pathfinder - +1 Dice to Hunts

The familiar scent of an oasis woman is accompanied by the aroma of two males wandering across the breeze of The Glade. It was an idyllic location to hunt, close tow ater, close to the cover of forest. She had known the vicinity to be popular for herds, large and small, and the frequency of their travel meant they had worn tracks through the plentiful grasses.

In the midst of the rolling fields, a large and pointed hill towered above the rest, marred by the hoofprints of animals who sought a better view. She notes the location of this hill as being somewhat central. Before approaching the distant figures, Charax masked her appearance and scent within a semi-dried wallowing hole, bathing herself in mud.

The long journey throughout the lands of Amaryllis was more daunting a task than he had originally realized. Some territories were much less hospitable than others, the vast stretch of desert to name the first that came to mind. The more green and forested areas were his favored places, and today he would have a look at the Glade. Already he had come upon some areas of brambled roots that could serve as temporary den sites should the occasion arise. Being a rogue meant he was free to sleep in any location, and many dens had been procured in the months since his arrival. He would return to make himself another, as eyes befell tracks of mixed variety. Hard hooved creatures and the softer pads of lions, perhaps looking to hunt them.

Never one to turn down a good meal and a bit of practice, the Plum male would follow after them, making a point to brush up along various plants of a more fragrant variety. He did not wish to give himself away to his dinner, nor to have the others take in his subtle underlying scent and be distracted by the bittersweet smell.

Finding the others, he would silently fall in line behind the presumed leader of the hunt. He would take a moment to look at his companions, all of whom proved to be strangers. It would seem he was both the smallest and youngest in the group, though Aidoneus was only slightly taller than himself.

With her flesh and scent sealed by mud, it's sticky substance oozing from her nape and shoulders, Charax moved onwards. She knew of the Andal Oasis lioness, and is quick to realize there is more than one here who might have been considered an 'enemy' under other circumstances. Regardless, assuming they did not know her, she would arrive cautiously casual - prepared to work for her meal today.

It is not a trophy beast, but the group is not so large. The team manage to fell a single Gazelle, and Charax waits her turn to swoop in and detach a humble portion of meat from the animals neck. She seeks the landmark of the pointed hill, knowing she would pass it on her way back towards Wolfbron.

The hunt would prove a success, resulting in a decent sized meal for the small group that had partaken. One of the darkly hued lionesses would take her share of the meal, secured for her travel elsewhere.

Recluse was in less of a hurry to depart the group, choosing to settle down with a decent sized portion and eat it then and there. He would use this opportunity to watch the others, take note of anything of significants that passed between them. Some of them were of the same pride if their scent was anything to go by. In time perhaps he would join a pride himself, even if it proved to only be for a limited time before he himself tried for one of his own.

They found themselves successful once again, despite the smaller group than he'd usually seen. As per usual, he wasn't going to try to fight with anyone over the catch and so there was no reason for him to linger. Still, he didn't want to trek all the way back to the Hollow just yet, even though he didn't want to hang out around here after the hunt, which would just draw scavengers both leonine and otherwise.

So, he turned away and headed out of the glade but not out of the grove entirely, finding a nice shady patch to settle into for the time being until he felt like returning to the pride.

They succeeded, but he wasn't surprised by that. There were plenty of them here for what they were chasing, and he had grown quite skilled at hunting since coming to these lands. It seemed those he was with weren't bad at it themselves, and they were able to bring down the gazelle rather easily.

It wasn't of a good size for sharing, but he didn't feel interested in going back to the Oasis empty handed, especially not with the sovereign along with them. So, he took one of the gazelle's legs, but not for himself. No, he turned to go back to the Oasis with it to put it in one of the caches. He didn't quite need the meal, but surely someone within the pride could use it.
