For anything that her children should ever give her, she was grateful. They truly were the only driving force some days that made her realize that she had so much more to give in this life. Too often did she feel the heavy burning weight of the idea that one day Morrigan might not come back from a fight. A fight that she had gone in knowing she could handle and take, but would not realize it might be her last. A thought that she had not brought to anyone but had pondered telling her older sister so that at least someone might help her cope with the demons. Still, she recognized @Cassandra as a true adult now and she no longer may not need her mother but at times, she wanted her. Vermeda is no safer than anywhere else, spoken clearly as if Talisa had had to come to terms with that herself. Vermeda had the odds stacked against them time and time again but this pride had just as much reason as another to be taken over. If she began to question why lions didn't flock to challenge more often than she did, she felt she would be cursing them all the same. Just bad luck. Maua was a hard subject, even for a woman who had spent her whole life praising them and teaching their ways. Though, the change of subject was one that nearly warmed up her heart in a millisecond. Her face changing from stern and worrisome to overwhelmed with joy and happiness. That's wonderful! Talisa's body was surely vibrating next to her daughter with fervent shakes as she realized that everything was falling into place. Their love had not been planned but oh, it was a wondrous miracle for certain! Love was the strongest thing out there and to know that there was someone out there that chose you specifically made all the difference in the world sometimes. Needless to say, the very mention of starting a family of their now nearly made Talisa's heart stop beating. Perhaps she had never looked down the line far enough to see the image of her as anything other than a mate and mother, but to even fathom being a grandmother was unreal. Very, very wanted but very unreal. Don't you worry! Mama and Mummy and all your relatives would be more than happy to help you and Myrkvi out with anything and everything you need. Mama Valour was always prepared to take on the role of nurturing GrandMama. |

The young girl was still rather flustered over even having told her mother of her engagement in the first place (it felt weird to talk to her mom about her romantic affairs in the first place). She might be grown, but she was still her mama's little girl. Her family had been close knit while she was younger, and she somewhat was. It was obvious by the way she ran to her mom as soon as she saw her that she still sometimes needed to comfort and reassurance of her mother. Cassandra aimed to gently press her head against her mother's if @Talisa would allow her to do so.
The pure giddiness on her mother's face and her demeanor when she mentioned her and Myrkvi's engagement made her feel flush and warm. Her tail curled around her hind legs in slight embarrassment. ""I mean its no guarantee that we will start a family... its only if he wants to too.. We haven't really discussed that fully yet."" Cassandra said, scraping a paw on the ground again as she spoke. She had no doubt that if they did move to the Brook that she'd have plenty of help raising those cubs.
""If I do come to the Brook, I want to be able to do something. Have a job of some sort..."" Cassandra admitted. She didn't like just sitting around doing nothing (that would be tricky for her if she did end up starting a family with Myrkvi!), and loved to have a duty, a job. Something to push herself to be the best at.

Truth be told, Talisa was one of those individuals that might not be able to fully grasp the idea of not wanting a family. Or, in the very least, surprised that @Cassandra (her own daughter) might not have children if it wasn't what Myrkvi wanted, too. Perhaps if she had a few more moments to herself to really think about it she'd be able to understand but as a female who had dreamed of a big family since she was old enough to think it up, it was hard to connect with. Either way. Here to help! And all of them were, of this fact she could be completely certain that the Valour and the members of Vermeda, allies of Vermeda -- they'd be there to help as they always would be. Though, she hoped that Myrkvi also wanted children because grandbabies, duh! We can definitely find a place for you, dear, should you decide to return. Plenty of options. Well, maybe not plenty as they were still a very large pride but Cassandra would always play an important part regardless and would instantly be given Royalty which was a seat that was normally very uncommon to hold but considering how many children the Valour seemed to pop out... not that uncommon. Especially with her big family dreams. |

She would aim to step forward to her mother, in an attempt to give the elder Valour a headbump. ""No matter how big I get, I'll always need my mama."" Cassandra said with a soft smile. She wasn't sure if she'd want cubs or not in the future. She'd never been the type of lion @Talisa was, always eager to work with and hang out with cubs. But as she'd matured she'd definitely started to take a more protective role over her sisters especially. She'd realized how much she cared for them as she matured and got out of the Brook for a bit, moving to the Cove to be with Morrigan for a bit. And now she enjoyed spending time with them as much as she could.
""Perhaps - I do want to try some other things first, stretch my legs a bit more before I maybe find my way home."" She said in response to her mother's comment that they'd definitely find a place for her in the Brook if she decided to return home. ""You'd have to make room for two of us though - I'm sure Myrkvi would be coming along with my regardless of where I go."" Cassandra said with a chuckle. She had no idea how big the family had gotten in her absence. No idea that her uncle had taken a mate and that Maua had blessed the pair. But perhaps she'd figure some stuff out with visits before she decided if she wanted to return home to the Brook or not.
