The most that she wanted to do was do what was good for her family. She had finally found somewhere that she found entirely comfortable with and felt that it was her direction and no one else's. Each day she felt the pain of the things that she had lost in her young life but in a way, they were what kept her going. So she called for her pride eagerly to come help her hunt. Renly would do her best to lead them to success and would be (she believed) entirely open to suggestions if another more skilled Ranger had tips and pointers. For now, she sat back and waited for the rest of her pride and family members to show up. Hoping that they didn't mind a semi-inexperienced hunt leader leading them.

5 years, no trade bonus Morrigan was on patrol when she heard @Renly call for some help in a hunt. As usual the Greyflood soldier doubted her own hunting ability outside of brute force, but she was willing to fall on her face chasing an impala so long as she could help her daughter catch it. "Töchterchen," she greeted the lovely girl quietly and she came to crouch behind her, waiting on direction from the most agile built of her daughters, seemingly crafted to be a master of her trade like so many Valour before her. Maybe they would both get lucky and find something big to bring home for dinner and Morrigan wouldn't have to embarrass herself in front of the Brook lions just yet.

A call to action roused Parvati's blissless contemplation. They stared at the dim world outside their den with eyes that were a little too dull for their vibrant color to hold. This was no emergency but still, nerves twitched along their spine and they nearly tripped over their tail as they emerged. A hunt... from someone younger calling? Maybe they wouldn't be huge and intimidating. Parvati struggled to find the way, eventually finding Morrigan's recent tracks and following them. Parvati found the dark lioness already waiting. So here was where some of the Cove had come. That was possibly reassuring. These thoughts came as Parvati stared at Morrigan unblinking, obviously lost in analysis. Once complete, the gray lion softly toed around the area, casting around for anything of use. The faster they caught something, the faster they could go back to their den. Warm food sounded nice. Possibly not worth the social expenditure, though. Parvati saw recent divots but not so recently that the softer edges hadn't caved in. They murmured, suddenly too nervous to speak, so they whipped their tail and tried to gesture in the direction of the tracks once they got anyone else's attention.

Something had raised a flag for the Brooks pride. Its scent was thick on the breeze that swept past Scipio's nose and, hungry, the growing boy began to follow it. With movements careful, the pale boy had to take round about ways and calculate the best areas of cover to conceal his pale pelt. The scent of prey began to mix in with those of his pridemates as he neared. Must be on the right path. He began to get some sight on them as he snuck along carefully, tucking into some bush nearby and keeping himself covered until they could get going together and take down whatever this was.

Caligula heeded the call as was typical for him. He sought to always make himself available to help out around the pride in whatever fashion that he could. So while he wasn't the best hunter he would lend his speed and minor weight to the endeavor.

The bronze lion smiled to see Parvati there. So they had managed to escape their den. Parvati wasn't the socialite that Spiritus was so it felt like a near miracle to find the grey child there.

He moved over towards Parvati and glanced to what was being gestured to.

Patrolling was something that seemed to help Valkravn clear her mind, giving her both time to think as well as allowing for her to work while she did so. Every now and then would she stop and survey the area before remarking their scent markers before taking off once more, repeating this every so often. And it would be during one of this quick breaks that she would hear a call of sorts, one that beckoned for Brook members to gather for a hunt. Releasing a huff of air would the pink Viking head toward the call, her body already beginning to crouch into a stalking position and moving quieter than normal. She would step over brush and rocks cautiously while making her way, periwinkle eyes landing upon all those that had been gathered by the call. Her whiskers would quiver as she neared her pride mates, awaiting to see what would appear on the menu today.

Success! Scipio slid to a stop as the prey fell and he bound over, prepared and to the side to leap if it got back up and tried to run. But it would not be so lucky today and ended up lunch. He haphazardly and with no force withheld bound over to @Renly and aimed to shove his shoulder into her and try to topple his cousin over. Nice job! He said happily, just as ready and willing to help her back up if he succeeded in his celebratory shove and rough housing on her.

Make way, make way Renly gets first bite! Scipio insisted with a little baring of his teeth in a way that family might recognize being entirely an Aquila like grumble and frown.

Valkravn would stand over one of them, panting and sides heaving, her gaze looking over at the one's gathered here with a rather sly grin, happy with their success. Her attention would then be given to @Scipio as he declared the first bite to belong to @Renly, and with a chuckle would the Viking take a step back as if to oblige him. After a few moments would Valkravn decide to take her leave, heading back to patrolling the borders. She weren't too hungry and she knew that the others would bring back their catch to the pride's cache, so the Brynmawr took back to keeping their borders safe. exit Valkravn.

Renly was about to huff out a congratulations to the whole team on downing their - albeit small - kills when @Scipio came rushing over and giving her her very own compliment. Boy, if she could blush she'd be scarlet red in the face as she inhaled quickly and bashfully looked at her feet. Thanks, she murmured in a quiet whisper only for her cousin to then express to all those that were gathered that she got first bite. This could only prove to fluster her a good bit as she wasn't one to put herself first but she couldn't exactly turn it down when he'd so valiantly told everyone. So she hard swallowed and took a step towards one of the gazelle and leaned down to take one of their wee little legs. Not quite the small piece that she might've originally taken but her cousin was right. She'd done a good job and it was worth celebrating so she bowed her head and gave a smile out of the corner of her mouth for her valiant and kind cousin before dipping out to enjoy her meal. exit renly.
