+1 hunt rolls    -1 to prey dodgeIndustrious—that is how she was beginning to feel. Wrapped in the conceited arms of purpose, elevated from dregs of indolence, and burnished to a shine. She spied their heads floating above the drifting dunes. Their ears and horns lay like wings against the sky. A banner, the slow rise and pitch of their fleeing figures came as summons. Thrilled, the Lead Huntress chuffed. An alerting roll of heated breath against arid head. There came no hesitation in the motions that followed. Like silk, they went unfettered into smooth movement, her legs drawn up beneath her and propelled to act. With hope, that with and behind, came others.

At the helm of every hunt, he finds @Aidoneus. Her chuffs ring out across the territory with a sense of urgency, pulling his intrigue and attention as the sovereign sweeps across his territory in the direction of the call. The haste becomes evident when he sees the prey already on the move, looking somewhat exhausted already from their efforts prior to crossing into the pridelands. It could still go either way, however -- they are a formidable creature to take down, and a pair of them can prove to be more dangerous and elusive. It doesn't take more than a moment for Seneca to lurch into action, joining the huntress without question in pursuit of a meal that could feed the pride for a week.

The call rang out from the Lead Huntress and Iofiel moved to follow the call. He figured there could only be one reason behind it. He wasn't the best hunter out there but he did pull his weight for the pride. He knew that living in the desert everyone had to take part in the day to days for the survival of the whole.

When he got to where the call had originated from the lioness was already on the move. Looked like there was no waiting for a game plan this time. The prey were already on the move and so were the lions behind them. Normally he would wait until after the hunt to pray but normally they also had a chance to gather first instead of diving straight into the hunt.

"May luck be on our side. May the fates decide to bless us and our survival." The words were cast softly to the wind as he followed behind Aidoneus and Seneca.

they are towering giants, walking fortresses loping across the sands. she sees them and the sight gives her pause -- rightfully so. the splotched creatures are far too large for her to do anything about and so she aims to simply let them be. until, of course, she spots the felines chasing after them. there are three lions to two giraffes and those do not sound like even odds, not at all, though she is loathe to endanger herself in such a chase -- not when there were safer targets to be found. still,s he is a glutton for punishment and curiosity her cardinal sin, and so ashelia joins in regardless. she will not be so lackadaisical with her own life for a single dinner, but she will help nonetheless. loping after the growing crowd her shoulders settle, husky frame moving with grace.

The scent of prey was enough to pull him from his resting place; he had practically gone in to hibernation over the winter months. The cold bothered his old joints, no matter how he acted as though it didn't, and he had long since run out of the herbs that eased the inflammation.

He had worked to stretch his muscles as of late, though, and moved with much more ease now. There were enough of them, he figured, as he arrived and saw the members chasing the towering creatures. Giraffes, though, were not easy prey, and he narrowed his eyes in determination as he joined in the race.

He's not one to enjoy hunting on a regular basis but the longer he stayed in Andal Oasis, the more he seemed to become involved in the small pride events. Today was no different as Aidoneus's calls had made note of large prey in the area and he had come to assist those amassed. Upon arrival his eyes immediately latched onto the familiar form of @Ashelia, whom he is instantly drawn to. Careful not to draw too close to the paler form, he comes up within a few feet or so of her where he stops, casting a sidelong glance with just a hint of amusement behind the glacial eyes. Silence had held his lips thus far as he waited direction of the group. Beyond it was evident that the group would be hunting two giraffes, which posed a rather large threat even to lions. With enough hunters they could surely bring them down. He was only slightly excited to watch Ashelia in action among those he had seen in the last hunt.

Four years, no perks

Were they crazy? They had to be, if they thought they were going to take down even one of those giraffes, let alone two. She'd come along just for the show at that rate, she thought. Of course, when she did get there it seemed as though quite a few others had shown up, so no doubt it was going to be at least somewhat successful... she thought. Still didn't mean they would all get away without getting a hoof to the face though. She was definitely planning on hanging back as much as she could without making it obvious that she was doing so. She wasn't going to stick her own neck out in an effort to make herself look good around lions she didn't care about.

Ivaan was more than ready to join in adults games, in the art of the hunt. An skill he guessed all lions had to learn regardless of what they ended up doing. They were born with claws and teeth, they were there for some reason right? Eyes of teal and green hues lurked through the desert's extension, finding a pair of giraffes near the pride lands, and he could see more of his pridemates. With apparently the same reason as he. And silent like a shadow, quiet like the wind he hides and waits for the leaders to give the say to start the chase. Hard these were the giraffes but not impossible. And like that he waited. Patient.

the call catches her attention and fang readily answers, seeing two equally difficult prey as last time. perhaps not so thick-skinned but certainly as massive. she swallows audibly as she casts herself up alongside @Ivaan, subconsciously drifting to the other youth in the group. "wow." she mutters, ears slicking back to her curly mane, and tosses her wide-eyed gaze around the assembled lions. were they really going to do this? it certainly seems so, gauging the expressions on the adults faces. so she settles herself in a crouch, weight on her hips, as she waits for all hell to break loose._{BG — ART: drifty — CODE: dee}
