He does not arrive with a deafening roar, nor does he purposefully draw attention to himself other than his rogue scent wafting through the airs at their borders. In the silence that was around him, Anthonius breathed.

The Savante Warrior knew chaos was about to ensue.

Wisely, he had thought this decision out to a length. He did not trust his brother enough to stay under his rule - and the desire to make his own haven for his family overwhelmed his veins. Should Alexander fall, Anthonius would be there to clean up all his mistakes, and shield the family from anymore. One could argue what he was doing was a mistake - putting a huge target on the backs of his family and him. He refused to live civilly with these people, though - he ones who had harmed his family first. A ceasefire was a joke, a mockery of the Savante and all they had gone through - Anthonius was more encouraged to take their power away.

Or at least bleed trying. He found it far mor ideal than submitting to their cruel reign.

Upon the borders does he stand, chin held aloft, ears listening to each speck of sound around him. A low chuff is given, the indication of his arrival. He does not trespass, he does not make a scene - there is a level of respect to his demeanor despite the war-damning actions he was about to initiate.

“I have come to challenge for these lands.” He speaks then, vocals raspy and rough thanks to his maim, knowing he would no longer be alone - if not already surrounded by a mass of numbers.

i am the storm / and im coming for you

fire burned inside her veins as the ghoul slipped out of her den, heeding the calls of the impudent wretch. when she arrived, there was only the male standing alone. faustine guessed more of his ilk and supporters would arrive as time passed. her own family would not take long -- this was their home, after all. still, the challenge made faustine's lip twist into an ugly shape, glistening fangs leaving strands of saliva as she faced the man.

it was instinct, pure crocodilian desire to protect her home. sadly, faustine could not approach the male and fight for her family. her grandmere will have to do that. faustine began to circle him - their prey animal - while making sure no other trespassers would dare come. still, another part of her wanted to be given an excuse to fight. her parents had blessed her and her sisters with the dieudonne blood, but their lullabies were war and battle and they supped on the flesh of their own kind.

for the first time, faustine trembled, starting from her legs all the way to her ear tips. drool dripped down from her jowls, collecting into small puddles of translucent liquid.

A challenge, a challenge to their long lasting pride. From whome she didnt know yet now she considered an enemy. The young Black lioness rushed to where the challenge was going to take place, finding one of the royal youngsters at the scene. Eyes of pink and purple landed on the challenger with suspicion yet hate.

She placed her eyes into the borders waiting for the first visitor to tressapss or somethiung for her really needed to prove herself, she wanted to prove her loyalty and gain the favor and a better position or anything really. She was hungry for acceptance and a place amongts the ranks. She didnt sit, she was ready to show who Io Black was. And she was sure their queen was going to come on top as she had always been.

No matter how fervent he try, wandering were a nature he could never quite quell. Though his wanderlust had not driven him from Amaryllis, Xavier had strayed from the familiarity of the Bluffs, and had plunged himself into the yet-untouched wildlands of this country. He'd little intention of returning quite yet, the reins of the pride firmly grasped between his mother's paws and fiercely guarded by that of his sister, but as the months drawled past, Xavier had begun to feel some strange semblance of homesickness, some desperate and clawing need that beckoned him home. Whatever boyish drive he felt for the lonely wilds, he'd long begun to feel the insatiable desire to settle, to finally seek his place that he'd avoided for so long.

What crude timing it were, too; for only what seemed like a moment after Xavier Dieudonné's return, a challenge was levied against the Bluffs.

Even the strongest of beasts could not quell their anxiety, and it lingered in the depths of his belly, even as his steeled expression refused to waver. Xavier arrived upon the borders and there he saw the challenger; unknown to him, the trials and tribulations between their families a blissful mystery. Perhaps it were an odd mercy that he did not know; perhaps he wanted to maim and mangle the man all the same, regardless of his history. Yet, out of the corner of his gaze, he spotted his feral niece. A little glint shimmered from her drooling expression, and were he not so steeled and laissez faire in disposition, he might have guffawed at her reaction. Instead, he ventured over toward her, placing a firm, yet gentle paw upon @Faustine's tail.

Doucement, fille louve, he chided, though he'd little intention of keeping her at bay. She were old enough to throw herself into the fray if she wished. It were his duty as uncle only to at least try to sate the beast. Votre regard brûlera des trous dans sa tête.

The call of the challenger brought the young gentry around quickly. She approached at a loose trot, her head high, eyes wide as she arrived. A few had gathered, and she slowed to a halt, watching the male who stood on the other side of the border- her tail lashing behind her, as she kneaded the ground in anticipation. Oh, she couldn't wait for Amara to stomp him into the earth. Beaming with a fierce intent, she waited for others to arrive- hoping that plenty would come and she would be able to fight someone without her mom interceding. 'Cause that wasn't very cool, now was it? But she could fight to defend her home- right?!

For the most part, barring the little spate of recent drama in the desert, his time within the bluffs and, indeed, the larger land had been mostly uneventful. He'd settled into a niche of his own, though he found it a bit dull for his tastes after leading an entire clan for much of his life. So finding a stranger just outside the borders, making such a calm declaration, was quite interesting indeed.

Sébastien had expected to return from his little jaunt into the wider neutral lands to the same sight as always. Calm borders with the scent of leadership and patrolling bodies lingering in the air. Instead, here stood a distinctively marked male most recently familiar from the Oasis battle - witnessed from a distance, but notable among the crowd due to his coat. A man who had lost to one of their own, if he was not mistaken.

The pale beast slipped into the territory and abandoned any hope of seeking out the relief that came from the dark of his den. For now, at least, he would seek a place among the gathering crowd, seating himself atop a small ridge where the vantage point would be best.

Ciara was hungry for spying on this challenge, and even though she knew the risks, her youthful audacity made her want to learn more about spying and sleuthing. Of course she wanted medicine to be her main thing, but this too was between her interests.

Not wanting to bring trouble to her brother's pride, she tried to wash her scent off. Wanting to remove Mire's particular scent from her fur. Quietly, she made sure to also hide and cover her prints whenever she moved while she went to walk into the cliffs, but not too deep; she only wanted to be able to see the challenge better. But also maybe to assest the wounds. And like that, she went to hide.

She didnt have any bad intentions by crossing, all she wanted was learning to be sneaky. But her young self made her unable to see the severity of such.

"What a meal he shall make..." Mars drawled while he approached the right side of @Sébastien. He was nearly as large as the other lion was, but his mane was still in a mohawk style running down the back of his neck. Tail lashed while lavender eyes narrowed upon the assailant. A low growl left his vocal cords while he kneaded his claws into the rocky surface below his feet. When one of the Dieudonne woman declared a free for all, he would seize the first target he set eyes on.

Carefully he would inspect the group gathering around the challenger, where was Amara or Louve? Were they moving the cubs first? or would the cubs be here to witness another bloodshed, not that that was unusual for their family.

As a Lead Scout, Laerra spent a fair amount of her time watching the borders from the coziest ledge she had been able to find in the year or so she had been here. So when she spied the brute moving towards the borders she immediately lifted her head into a more eagle-eye position. Eyes wide open she studied him and began to gather what she could about the way he positioned himself and just as she was about to stand up to get a better look, he called.

Laerra moved with great purpose down to the behemoth of a male. The lion that felt so inclined to challenge Amara, of all lions. He, too, would be shown that the Bluffs were not a pride to be challenged. Thankfully she arrived to spy @Aideen who had gotten here in good time. Immediately moving to her side and aggressively bumping her shoulder to her. We fight together, hm? Laerra did like to fight her sister but to fight with her was an even better victory. They could take down their enemies (and their not-enemies but also not-allies) together and be all the stronger for it.

Anyone engaged in a fight from this point forward receives a +1 luck to all pride-mates when fighting on their pride territory due to Laerra assigned as Lead Scout.

A call for the crown of her queen. Adelita was surprised to hear it ring out, especially one as quiet as it seemed to be from the male. Petite frame prowler forward, satchel secured on her hip with all the herbs she could possibly need to heal her queen. Tail flicked as she made her way forward towards the rest of the group from Wolfbron. "I am here to heal injuries, but if someone attacks me, please protect me. I am not a fighter." Adwlita said to the group of Bluffs lions gathered around her.

It was true. She was no fighter, hardly knew defensive moves at that. But she would heal any injury of pridemates or allies of her pride. That was her skill, and her forte. Not fighting, which was odd for a Bluffs lion.
