Lukas had been recovering well from his bout of hypothermia, and the superficial lacerations on his body seemed to be healing, which is more than he could have anticipated. The boy had been sleeping, tucked away in Cassandra's den, when he heard the light footsteps of a small prey animal. Lukas, with a yawn, rose from his slumber and slipped out of the den.

Walking through the territory, it did not take the mute male long to discover that it was a warthog that had captured his attention. But... he had a problem. He couldn't call for the rest of the pride without startling it away, so the small boy simply tucks his stomach to the ground and observes, hoping that someone else will come along and help him... hunt.

She had been wandering the borders to make sure everything was still secure and strongly marked when the scent of both her son and a... warthog? passed over her nose. Tracking both of the scents to the source, Cassandra came up behind her son, a soft rumble greeting him as she aimed to brush her chin against his head. "Nice find filius meus*." Cassandra murmured.

Moving to her son's side, Cassandra would let out a few soft chuffs to gather any of the other pride members in the nearby vicinity who were interested in joining her for a hunt. "Just keep herself out of harm's way once the hunt gets underway love." She said softly to her son. She didn't want @Lukas to get hurt, even if it was just a warthog. Her mute son had been through enough in his short life already.

Eight years, ranger lvl 3 (sub-master)

Seraphiel too was concerned about the presence of a cub at a hunt,even if their quarry was something relatively simple such as the warthog he saw before the pair. At least the boy's mother was quick to approach, the very same woman who had welcomed Solanum and himself into the pride. Cassandra, he remembered as he moved to join them. At least there was foliage around to hide his massive frame, unlike in the Oasis, but he was more adept at hunting in the open than somewhere like this. Well, he'd figure it out. It couldn't be that much different.

Seven years, no perks

Seemed like there were plenty of animals wandering into the Brook these days. Which was good for them since it was winter and therefore harder to find things, so she wasn't complaining.

Cassandra's call reached her ears, and she approached, eying the man standing beside her since he was, frankly, massive, and she'd never seen him before. He smelled of the Brook and Cassandra didn't seem bothered by his presence, so she wasn't concerned for long.

She also wasn't concerned about the cub being there, because surely it was a good opportunity for him to watch and learn. She wondered when the rest of the pride would file in, particularly Rabbit since he'd been a frequent sight at these little gatherings.

four years, no perks

He came to join them eagerly when he heard Cassandra's call, finally having come around to enjoying hunting now that he'd gotten the hang of it. It was one of the easiest ways for him to help the pride, and really that was all he wanted to do with his life.

There was already a lovely little group gathering, including a cub and a massive man, neither of which he'd had the pleasure of meeting yet, and naturally for a moment he felt awkward because there were strangers present. Man, he hoped he wouldn't make a fool of himself. Which, he usually hoped, but especially so when he was trying to make a good first impression.

the sea does not like to be restrained 6 years, no perks She hears the call and is quick to answer, her steps light as she slinks through Vermeda's undergrowth. Already some of the others are gathering, drawn in either by @Cassandra's call or the scent of prey on the wind. One of Cass' children, whom she hasn't met yet, seems to have been the one who discovered the prey, though he could not call for it. She slides up among the others, tail lashing in excitement. It will be a sma hunt. The scent of warthog is not strong enough to indicate a large group of the creatures. But filling the bellies of the many members is important, so taking advantage of anything they could is a must.

Bronx was quick to move to join the group, this time he told Castus he would be not just watching but helping. If he was to ever have a family how could he provide for them if he was too scared to find them food? So despite a bit of a argument he knew Castus was not far behind him. Trailing in he saw Seraphiel and moved to lightly brush shoulders with him. Smiling though not as wide as usual, the scab upon his lip was still there and he did not want to break it open.

ooc: 4 years no bonus Irritable did not even begin to cover it, he was mad that Bronx was forcing his paw to do something he didn't want to do. He knew his uncle meant well but maybe he could butt out for once? what had him moving was when he mentioned family and he remembered Tualtha and how soft she had been. And the fluttering in his chest that happened whenever he remembered her. And when he paused Bronx knew he had him, so here he was trailing in grumpily. The Shakti in him was starting to rear inside him, he had a temper but took a lot for him to get mad enough to harness it. Crouching down he glared at Bronx before waiting for someone to lead this hunt. He hoped he didn't botch this. "speech"

It was time for a new hunt, a new opportunity to learn and become better each time. After he had turned one, he had never missed a single hunt, nor he wanted to. Hunts like this were perfect for him to get to know all needed for when he became an adult, aiming to become an useful and capable one. Capable of helping his pride to thrive and never be hungry. When be arrived, he took a quick note of who had come. All known by him, for the most part. Of course his mother was here, along the Queen and even a cub. Nodding he took his own place to attack, hiding and patiently waiting for action.
