Brynja

Brynja found purchase and found that cathartic release of causing this stranger, cloaked in Andal's scent, pain. All was fair in love and war. Leander had taken the opportunity when his door opened- Brynja felt no remorse for the harm she and Nusura were causing. The wolfish woman's lips foamed with saliva, her eyes wide and wild as Kira's teeth pierced easily into the skin of her chest where greenish grey hair began to thin. There was little to stop the shredding there of meat, blood flowed out freely. Brynja began to shake her head, brace her legs on the shifting ground and rampage her skull back and forth. Attempting to tear, attempting to disorient, any bit of discomfort was glorious.

She feels her teeth clamp on muscle and bone, claws cutting through flesh. A blunt weight slamming against her cheek rocks her head back and she hisses, soreness blooming in her jawbone from the kick to the head, aggravating the wounds that were already there. Wrinkles curve along her maw as her jaws reach out yet again, attempting to grab the outstretched heel that was nearest, to get a hold of it and then pull with a heave of her shoulders, hoping to pull it out from under Kira as Brynja was shaking her. Anything to knock the aggressor off balance long enough that the Ecrosian lions can make their successful exit from Andal’s border. His shouts fell on completely deaf ears and Haros sighed again, letting his front limbs slide forward to flop his front half gracelessly into the sands. Ears tilted back as one after another they launched themselves into fights. There still didn't seem to be a pressing need for him to get that involved, but the whole spectacle was incredibly disappointing. Was this the kind of pride he'd made his home? How had he not noticed?

He'd seen a hint of it at the challenge, and he wasn't completely sure if this was a result of all that. If the mire was coming at the oasis because the man who'd come to fetch his friends had lost. Haros really didn't care. The resistance to allowing a couple members to wander outside the territory was upsetting, "C'mon, guys, is that necessary?" It was a mutter, he didn't really expect anyone to pay him any attention now.

There is fury in her actions as she snaps outward, clipping Brynja's chest and attempting to further puncture the skin. It doesn't come without a cost, she can feel her nape being torn with each shake of Brynja's head and it only infuriates the woman further. Was she surprised that these lions could not fight their own battles? That they needed to team up in order to win? Not at all. But it would create a stain in her mind; she would remember their faces. One day in the future they would be alone and when they were, they would get what was coming to them. Her hind paw manages to clock Nusura but the woman is quick to grab her heel again. Kira is tripped up in the sand, quickly attempting to recover so she can attempt to wrench herself from Brynja's grasp. She can feel the skin tearing and she snarls, spit flying from exposed fangs before she's whirling backwards. "Go then, don't think Andal won't remember this." She hisses before whirling towards @Rielus and @Haros. She doesn't recognize either of them from her time in Andal before but either way she's furious. Her wounds were burning, consuming her, but that Tollaire fire was taking hold. "Your letting them go? For what? They are property of Andal until @Seneca says otherwise. Or have you forgotten that's how shit works when you take prisoners." Her tail lashes, gaze moving to the youngsters that had at least attempted to interfere. Blood boiling Kira knew there was much she'd be discussing with Seneca once everything was said and done. She might not have been here for a short while but she still knew the dynamics of the pride; betrayal was not one of them.

These children. All brawn, brute strength and quick to launch themselves to attack without pause to consider the morals, the reasons for which these lions encroached upon Andal now. Prisoners or not, the moral boundary to hold these lionesses against their will seemed a grave crossing of a line that he was not willing to uphold. If the roles were reversed he knew that these children would be whining from their cells, trying to bash their way through every pride member only to be beaten down and chained back up. Brash behavior could only get someone so far.

'Traitor.' The boy had snarled, though the word didn't bruise him quite as he thought it might. No, he was no traitor when it came to the moral boundaries that Seneca's children insisted on crossing - a mimicking of their father's values he considered. Regardless of what his actions brought upon him no regrets would follow.

The other child had slung herself toward Olive, caused the woman to stumble into her pivot and hit him square in the right shoulder so that he had been forced to place that leg back into the sand, stumbling lightly to the left in a way that counter-acted some of the onslaught of Artæmis's attack. As much as he didn't wish to teach Artæmis a lesson through brutality yet the youth deemed it necessary as the youth's flesh was tugged away from his pinched hold, only to have the child's needle claws and fangs seek purchase into his left foreleg; something that caught the inside of his leg but did not grant the boy the best of hold's due to his stumble toward the left and his forceful placement of his right leg back into the sand.

Slacked jaws issued the resounding snarl of an angered man as he pushed against the sand with hind legs pivot left and rear upward, pulling at the boy's grip to tear away flesh at his left foreleg, uncaring of the damage to the limb as he brought both forelegs up into the air and back down, attempting to slam against Artæmis's backside while his head had ducked between his shoulder blades with opened jaws that tried to bury fangs into the base of Artæmis's neck. Essentially he wanted to try to force the youth into the sand with force, so that the boy would not be able to control the fight or interfere with his intention to impede the children from letting Olive escape.

Brynja

She is bloodied and she is frenzied. Her head continues to shake even after Kira has torn free and spittle flies from the corners of her bare lips. The dark shape of the Andal woman peels away, the air between them grows stagnant and still.

She leans towards the Battleborn Nusura and aims to lay her wolfish head, with it's sparse muzzle hairs and dark features, along hers. Come on. Brynja was not encouraged or wanting to stay and watch this scene conclude. Olive's fate, the fate of these Andal lions as they stood to defend against their own pride, did not concern Brynja. No, she wanted to ensure her own freedoms, her wings to spread and fly. Fly she did, hoping at least she'd enticed Nusura to come along with her now rather than later.

/ Attempted Exit

" You should be more concerned about what Ecrosia remembers." She said to @Kira, her voice a low, swarthy drawl. As the Andal woman retreated, Nusura licked the blood that was dripping down her cheek and her muscle shuddered when @Brynja came alongside her. The wild woman, the one whom Nusura had so ignorantly assumed needed help the first day they met. When she herself knew what it was like to be under-estimated. To be judged as weak by those who knew too little. The carnal rage of Brynja’s freedom as it unleashed itself, like a wolf breaking free of her chains, was breathtaking. She nodded to the woman and tried to locate @Violarum ’s frame so that she might gesture to him with a twitch of her long tail. They needed to take this chance to leave it might be their only. -attempted exit with Brynja

Artæmis lost track of what was happening between Olive and Victoria. He was focused on @Rielus, the traitor. His grip on Rielus' leg was shaky at best as the male stumbled to the left from other impacts. Artæmis did not care.

Rielus tore away from him, and the boy did not resist. He also did not move when Rielus lifted his front paws and slammed down on him - severely bruising the area around his hips, where his paws hit his backside - and his teeth went for his neck. Artæmis allowed the grip, because his mind was already calculating the cost that Rielus would pay for all of this, and the worse it looked for him then the worse his punishment would be.

As his body was forced into the sand - painfully so, he made no more moves to attack, but he did twist his head so that he wouldn't take a mouthful of sand in the process. With Rielus pinning him down, he glared up at him with blazing eyes. "You don't get it, do you, you idiot?" he snarled at the adult, his lips pulled back to show his teeth. "If she had bothered to just ask, father would have let her go her own way. Instead you're letting her run off with the ones we're at war with." His father had fought and bled for her, and this was the way she was repaying the favor. One day, Artæmis was going to pay back both Rielus and Olive. Right now he was too small, but eventually he would be big enough to do something about it.

For now, though, the fight was over.

Artæmis is forfeiting.
