The lioness called out for the others to run, though her priority remained saving herself first. She sprinted with the lion in sight who had called for them, confident in her climbing skills (especially under such desperate conditions) enough that she knew she could climb over the ledge. However, just as she was making progress toward him, he leaped down to address a forming group of stragglers.

"Yer gonna fry together if you ain't careful," she called out again, despite herself. Her lungs heaved as she ran, frustration brewing inside of her at the apparent stupidity of the others and at having lost the plant she had come there looking for in the first place. Elixir winced as something hissed past her ear, letting out a small gasp under her breath.

Staying hidden, staying downwind of everyone to make sure her scent did not give her away, Victoria aimed only to watch and observe. Perhaps she should have gone to help the others, to make sure everyone got out. But the Oasis Viper did not entirely feel like putting herself in danger for strangers. She would have to move soon - the imminent scorching was something she certainly wanted to avoid. Lost in her own thoughts and observations, she was jolted as if she had fallen from her rock at home when a familiar name was bellowed across the springs. @Genya - in the shock Victoria almost leaped from her hiding place. As dark grey eyes settled on the inky form of her mother trying to help others, rage pooled molten hot in her gut. She had abandoned her family, and yet here she was being the picture of a good samaritan. Branco, hot on the heals of @Nusura; flesh lathered with the Sulphuric reek of strange geyser-mud, finds himself rather accidentally in the midst of chaos. At first, he had contemplated hiding to watch the ridiculous display of stupidity, and yet the rupture of blazing water from a random hole in the earth was enough to send the older male pacing eagerly closer to them.

He did not much like company, unless it was that of a beautiful woman, and yet here he finds himself, surrounded in strangers spitting insults and carrying on the midst of potential death. A piebald male (@Kieran) thinks it's a good time to start a fight, as water ruptured like spitting serpents around them. "Sie könnte gekocht haben, bevor Sie dort ankommen, Freund," a wry smirk, short lived given the sudden threat of the situation. Words that may or may not have been heard, nor understood, given his distance.

Still, the Ecrosian man had every intention of staying close to Nusura; as long as it didn't mean literally boiling alive. He definitely needed to get in her good books, somehow. At that point, the heat was searing upon his flesh, spatters of hot water causing burns to velveteen skin. The albino ushered onwards, casting a fleeting encouragement to @Fálkion the way past - "Ja sag es ihnen!" Of course, choosing German to avoid any real repercussions for a sharp tongue.

He was mighty talented at avoiding his problems. Usually. He found his way eventually to @Elixir, sprinting by her side with an eye cast backward to the blind healer and her chaperone (@Genya). Would they get out, or fry after all?

How annoying.

How annoying it was that the white knights of Amaryllis would not utilize such an opportune time for their advantage. How easy it would have been to have pushed her, to watch her misstep, trip, and fall into the whims of the boiling water that burst angrily all about them. Had @Genya been alone and not attempting to assist @Nusura, Kieran might have had an easier chance at enacting some sort of sick revenge, but as it were, this place had grown far too crowded. How ironic it was, to him, that chaos seemed to draw the attention of many. “I don't care about that woman,” he said to @Fálki, then motioning his head toward Genya, “It's her I want.” He was happy to let he and the other man, @Branco, escort the ailing woman out.

If they wanted to protect her, however, Kieran knew when he was to be outnumbered. Even if the spouts of bursting, furious springs around them brought an advantage to him, it too would bring one to them, and he was certain Amara would kill him twice over if he fought a battle he could not win now. “Tu me traites comme si je n'étais rien pour toi, Genya,” he seethed through narrowed eyes, but his mouth was pulled into a wicked grin, “Dois-je faire en sorte que tu n'oublies jamais?”

Whatever crimes committed, it did not matter; getting everyone out of here was now his priority, and damn his inability to walk away and save himself. "Well, you can’t have her," he snaps with a flash of his fangs. Without taking his eyes off @Kieran, who was clearly not about to see sense and let them pass, he speaks to @Genya, ignoring @Nusura cry about her things. Things can be replaced, and he doesn’t have the focus to console her and protect them. Another girl slides up to the group, nameless and just as in danger as the rest. @Zahra asks for instruction and the brown lion’s skull jerks to the side, indicating that she should go with Genya and the injured woman, using the moment Kieran snarls at the black lioness to speak quietly. "Get them out of here; there’s a ledge up ahead." By the time the maroon male is done snarling something in a language he doesn’t understand or care to, Falki has made his choice. His tattered ear flattens into his mane, and his scarred lips lift over his gums, and he attempts to shove the other male backward and away from the two women, jaws seeking to grab a mouthful of mane and skin at the side of Kieran’s neck. He isn’t fighting to maim or hurt, but rather to give Genya a second the get the fuck out, and to deterr Kieran from starting shit in the middle of a goddamn apolopytic event. If he backs off, Fálki won’t chase him. Hopefully neither of them end up boiling alive over whatever petty shit this is over. How lucky Genya was to have such devoted knights by her side. And Kieran wondered, cruelly: Had she swindled her way into Fálki's protection through his pants, or promises of power she always seemed to snuff out? Kieran knew far too little of the woman outside of her motivations, ambitions that trumped any loyalty to her or the Dieudonne, and that was enough to ascertain her sentence. And Kieran: the judge, jury, and executioner. It mattered not if he must tear down what all stood in his way. Perhaps it were only the heads of his enemies that would satisfy the family he had left to the wolves.

His shoulders squared as @Fálki surged forth, the brute connecting with Kieran and shoving him away from the escaping lionesses. He is careful of his footing, keenly aware of the bursting pools around him and careful to avoid slipping into them, even if it meant taking the brunt of an attack. His opponent manages to catch a few of his hairs on his mane, tugging and pulling at the skin, clearly just as careful as he is to avoid the chaos tearing asunder all around them. But if Fálki thinks Kieran would squander such an opportunity even in the face of present danger, he would be sorely mistaken. Swift does he turn his head to the side Fálki's is on, attempting to grab onto the brute's ear and tug, resignation that he was here to fight this through.

the old gods are dead Fortunately, or unfortunately, the maroon lion does not back down or retreat from Falki’s attack; they collide and Kieran’s teeth snag Falki’s tattered ear. It’s usefulness mostly ruined ears ago, and what’s left of it scarred and fucked, he cares very little about it. Like most of himself really. His own fangs get tufts of mane, and he attempts to keep hold of as much as he can - trying to adjust his grip to get more flesh and therefore a better hold - and some part of his mind sings and screams at the sting of pain and the taste of lion. The thrill of battle, and how much he’d missed it, had been forgotten in the wake of everything else. He doesn’t want the fight to simply end anymore. Falki growls lowly and attempts to lift his paw and grapple it into the other side of Kieran’s neck, trying to hook his claws into tangles of mane and sink them deeper. Despite his growing desire to fight, he still knows his goal: keeping this man from the woman he wants - at least as far as here. He doesn’t care why Kieran wants the black lioness, only that his thirst for revenge or brutality or whatever reason he had been so aggressive is endangering not just Genya, but others as well. (Looked in a mirror lately, Falki?) That said, he does not attempt or try to move himself or Kieran - aware that there is a boiling pool and geysers erupting not too far away and not wanting the maroon male to burn for this… He isn’t sure he would mind if he did himself. Ears pulled backwards as she watches things escalate and in this bad circumstances. Couldn't they wait until they were out of here? Was pride bigger than the wish of survival? Sometimes she didn't know bit, she also understood the situation. The man (@Fálki) was fighting to keep the other away from this @Genya who had showed ill intentions towards her. But again couldn't they all wait to do whatever they wanted whenever hejy all were out of here? "For Vellen's heart can't you all wait for when we are safe before doing shit?" Mostly intended for the weird looking man(@Kieran).

She turned back at the others."Let's go we are almost out of here.." and like that she ran for her life. Vellen could be behind this but in what she was sure was that she was done here. Exit

@Fálki is persistent in his assault on Kieran's neck, and what once may have been a vicious clawing and tugging of mane and fur suddenly became actual lacerations, teeth spreading apart dark tendrils of fur and finding purchase on the skin. Kieran gritted his teeth, letting out a frustrated snarl as his opponent's paw came up and grabs the other side of Kieran's neck, finding foothold among the opposite side of his mane.

He feels immovable. Fettered. Purposefully.

Had he not been so infuriated and envigorated by the chaos erupting all around them, he might have been more impressed by his opponent's devotion and obvious skill. As it were, however, Kieran had a notoriously one-track mind, and all he could see past Fálki's shoulder was Genya's hasty escape. A growl exhaled from his lips, and his right paw came upward, hoping to batter it against Fálki's left shoulder in an attempt to shove him aside, though he knew full well it would be hard to push a lion of similar size and strength so easily as he would have imagined, unless he were entirely caught off guard. And as far as Kieran could tell, Fálki was just as focused and grounded as he.

the two engaged in a fight. genya had no reason to watch when she could be thrown into the boiling waters should her savior lose. nor did she have the time to be patient anymore as she brushed harshly against @Nusura. we need to leave she said, silver eyes casting to the woman's face. now. there was a growl on the edge of her word - a warning. genya didn't know what would happen to nusura if something happened to her. only that someone else will take the burden of caring for her. the woman could die if cared less, but genya was no savage yet. and, without listening for a response, genya attempted to lead the way out.
