October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

The rain is slowly peetering out across the lands, though it is still heaviest in the east and lightest in the west. Thankfully, however, the temperature is steadly rising and the sun no longer hides behind the clouds. In celebration of the new season, the vegetation is alive and lush and plants are growing wildly across the valley. Spring is in the air!

Nature's Wrath - (Barbarian)
      |   #1
NATURE’S WRATH

Winter does not wane like usual.
Something is amiss and abnormal.
Nature is reacting.
Nature is bending.
Will you break?

It started as a faint and unassuming rumble - background noise to the otherwise busy lands that had become Amaryllis, and so discrete that it could have been passed off as the migration of a nearby herd. But it did not take long for that rumble to become a roar, growing in magnitude until the earth began to tear and all semblance of normal scattered into the winds.

Within the naught of a mid-Moore's day, the Earth begins to crane. Having fallen silent for too long, her bosom aches. Coiling within the seams of birthing pains that come in ten-folds. She quakes and shatters beneath the grounds, growing increasingly tired of the held between her plains. Mountains shatter and rumble with a great roar, the Earth begins to shake. Trembling before the very feet of those who prune the forces of nature.

A loud crackle resounds somewhere off in the distance, followed by a sound of increased panic and rushing winds as devastation creases the banks of the caverns homage. The gates of an icy wonderland become entrapped, coiled amongst the glassy outcrop of their features. IN a world that is ever-changing, the question of salvation remains tinged upon the lips of those who remain trapped before the glassy four walls. Who will come to save them?

Not very often did Farrow leave the Brook. He had lost far too much time with his children, some of which he did not even know he'd fathered, and wanted to recoup all the time he'd been forced to sacrifice. But eventually, the time to move on from the Brook came, and Farrow figured a small venture into the north would do him well. He had been tempted to invite his daughters along with him, but instead had decided to allow them to rest; after all, the days grew busier and busier with a larger pride to feed and borders to protect, given the unstable nature of this place.

He'd little idea just how terrifying this place would become. How right his timing would be in his return.

As he moved about the tundra, he spotted the cavern that he and Talisa had grieved in so long ago. It were as if it had been ages since Morrigan had helped to lead the Cove, and how its had given his wife great heartbreak. Mindlessly, he ventured into the Frostsong, his eyes glazing over the perch they'd spoken at. A soft smile flitted onto his lips, finding it blissfully ironic that now, after all this time, they were finally together.

And then, the earth shook.

Farrow thought nothing of it at first. The tundras were usually quiet save for the whirring of wintry winds, but this was different. It was thunderous, like the sound of hooves stampeding in the southern plains. His ears pricked forward, stand-still and silent, waiting out the noise and hoping it were nothing more than his imagination. But then it grew louder, howling, screaming, the sickening cracking of rocks and ice near-deafening. Farrow's eyes flew wide, and just as he turned to the entrance of the cave, a sheet of ice and stone, large scars forming and piles of nearly-immovable glassy ice preventing an escape from the cave. He rushed forward, not noticing quite yet if anyone else was trapped here with him.

Damnit, Farrow, not again.

Years ago, he might have found this predicament a fun challenge. Some great problem to solve. But now, he worried about his separation, being apart from his family once more and trapped where he could only struggle to escape again. Damnit, he cursed under his breath, pacing, trying desperately to find a way to escape.

Apollinaire Dieudonne did not wander too far from the Bluffs usually, but today he had decided to explore the less known parts of the valley. He was in no search of anything, and yet with the possibility to find a juicy meal present he had took it upon himself to go further north.

What a terrible mistake.

But how could he know? Nature had something in store, and it was not a nice day full of sunshine and birds chirping. No, the Tundra was not a kind place usually. Today, however, it had decided to unleash its wrath upon the heathen. With a blizzard outside, Apollinaire had no choice but to find shelter within the confines of a large cave with ice-blue walls. He stepped inside warily, unsure if anyone called this place home.

Second mistake.

A loud rumble caused him to turn around... only to see that the entrance was blocked by a giant snow pile. A stranger stood nearby. When did @Farrow get in here?

The brown lion pivoted, making a beeline for the other man. ""It seems zhat we are stuck, monsieur,"" crimson eyes fell upon the stranger's face, then shifted to the giant wall of ice and snow before them. ""We can dig, oui?"" A brow lifted to emphasize his question.

become the storm you are hiding from
It was only meant to be a day trip. A reprieve of exploration, returning to her child-like enthusiasm for adventure. Too much had happened in her short life but she was, bit by bit, finding some pieces of herself scattered amongst the wreckage. The thrill of exploring combined with the fiery passion that made her heart beat and the fierce protectiveness for those she loved — the building blocks of herself.

The rumble didn’t bother her at first, not until it became a fierce shaking that pulled a shout of surprised from her lips. Asteria raced back towards the entrance, fighting the all-too-familiar black wave of panic.

It was, unfortunately, too late. As the dust settled she stood before an impassable wall of ice, the view blurred and her own reflection faintly visible in the glassy sheet.

She wasn’t alone — and this she hopes is a good thing, for trust does not come easily to the dark furred girl. A nervous glance at the two strangers and despite her wariness she can’t help but exclaim “what the fuck was that?” Even as she asks she begins to pace along the wall, seeking for a way out of the tomb.

she had not spent much time in the cavern of the frostsong, much less any other land beyond that of the oasis. there is much to indulge here, aside from the bliss of the ice and cold. even better, genya can retreat without the score of eyes on her back. there's just so much even she can endure before the call of loneliness creeps into her. genya is made for the serenity of the darkness, after all. however, what she isn't made for is the thunderous sound of shattered walls and cracking earth. every vein in her trembles as nature roars and blossoms destruction. she is quick to be on her paws, even quicker to navigate what little terrain she has before noticing that she's not alone. genya lets out an air of semi-relief, for if she dies she may not be alone, and hurries herself to where they are. we landed ourselves in quite the predicament... her chilly voice slips off as her tail whips slowly in agitation. her silvery eyes glances from one face to the other. not any lions she knows but they seem dependable enough. finally, as the ground continues to tremble, genya adds unless death is more convenient than living i think we ought to leave, no? @Farrow @Apollinaire @Asteria

Watch the skies.

He had.

He had watched them shift and shape in the tumultuous skies above, and a-whorling they did go, as if they had forgotten the soft tread of spring at their expense. Certainly not here, not now in this wintry hell - but Gauthier had forgotten to keep an eye upon their violent claim of the terra.

Headlong after the tuft of a snow-hare bounding into the cavern's depths, he intended to corner it by some crevice of the frosty prison.

How ironic, how tragic.

It isn't long inside that windy hall that the ground beneath his feet began to shift and shudder, and the rabbit with his stammering heart did not shy from the might of its earthen sanctuary. Through and through the dark depths of icy caverns it bound while Gauthier remained behind, and remembered. Watch the skies.

Here, there were no skies - only the ice-bound stalactites that began to shimmer and shake. When a string of those icy fangs cracked and crashed from their reign he pivoted and darted back for the entrance - shouldering a few bodies in his run - but was stopped when the way snapped shut.

In (mostly) foreign company he held his breath, eyes rounding the new keep that had bellied them all greedily.

@Apollinaire speaks - dig. Another exclaims upon their poor fortune. A fourth, we ought to leave. The simplistic whim of the last catches him off guard. A tomb indeed. Not his.

Much of the walls were sheets of impenetrable ice - but it could shatter and crumble beneath their claws. He stood and bore his weight upon the slab that cut their exit through whence they came - it creaked but served for nothing else. "Dig indeed." he mused aloud, half to himself. "But will more cave in? Is it best to dig here, or there?" gesturing to the way deeper into the caverns, where there must be other tunnels out, and the wall of ice and snow may be shallower yet.

His breath unfurls hotly, thick vapours of mist spooling from his jaws, the frosty snows coating like a veil along his muscular body. He'd wandered far and wide from the Mire, his wanderlust taking him to the snowy winterscape. Amaroq had always enjoyed exploring Frostsong, descending deeper and deeper in their tunnels, pulled by the temptations of its adventurous allure. As Amaroq is often in tundra, exploring the secluded december paradise, reminiscing upon the beauty of winter.

Usually, it is uneventful, but today it is different. Today, violence would touch the earth and ravage the icy lands. Electricity would warp the air as Amaroq descends down the side of the wintry mountains, his head turning towards the entrance of the caves just as a wall of ice climbs upward to shut the frozen pathway. Up, up, up the ice had crawled, hissing like a great dragon against the earth, the vehement flashes of white and blue evoking him bewildered. Violent tremors had quaked the snowy terrain, the earth rumbled, shooked beneath his massive paws, and Amaroq momentarily braces himself against the side of mountain.

After the tremors were over, curiosity bids him to descend, to draw closer and investigate. He would jog up to the entrance of the now-frozen gaze, his icy blue eyes peering into the chilly, mirror-like surface. He couldy barely discern the lions trapped within. But what's this, was that @Gauthier with them? He would try to get his brother's attention, ushering a loud cuff.

Oh, they're fucked.

The young Rike had taken to Amaryllis easily, treating the whole expedition like a vacation of sorts. That day had been stranger than most, sure, but Viveka Rike was not afraid of weird sounds, she would insist. Any uneasy feeling just caused her to stick closer to shelter, the sight of a cavern amidst the blizzarding chaos a welcomed reprieve. She had wandered through the mirror-like cavern, pausing every now and again to take in her reflection. At least she looked better than Valaine.

Viveka jolted involuntarily as she felt something shake deep within the earth, those ungodly creaking noises ever-persisting. Though she flexed her claws against the earth, they found only ice to grab on to. She did not even have time to regain her breath from the surprise before the shaking persisted once more, this time more violently until the very structure around her gave way, plummeting the cavern's mirrors into darkness.

"Fuck," she exclaimed, craning her neck to acknowledge the other lions there for the first time. Dig, they said. Let's leave, they insisted. With a snarl, Viveka lunged toward where the entrance had once been and began clawing desperately at the ice and rock.

On earth's fuck, this wasnt a very enjoyable situation.

It seemed her curiosity fucked her up and deeply. She had found these caverns not too long and exploring them seemed like a good idea, but all ended with the fucking walls to close the entrances, getting her trapped like a bitch. A huff of annoyance came as she explored the halls, looking for a way out until she found a familiar face. Oh but it was Gauthier, the man she beated up not long ago. It was fun to find him in such situation one that she could now even see as funny.

Oh look what the fucking weather brought. Fancy seeing you here. She smirked while she flopped her ass into the cold soil.

She is beginning to feel as if her coming here was a mistake. She knows none of these lions, these lions that had spent months and years exploring these lands. On the other hand, Vansen had trekked all the way out into the tundra to be trapped inside a cave.

She holds herself steady, sizing up each lion in case there are any possible brutes or bullies among their crowd, though it seems as if they are all more centered on the task at hand. Good. The burnt-sand lioness peers up at the predicament that has trapped them here. Ice. It's a somewhat foreign concept to her - her birth-place had never gotten cold enough to offer the experience. Now that it's in front of her, cold to the touch and almost burns with cold fury against her paws, Vansen quickly decides that she is very much not a cold weather girl.

"Cant dig no ice like ya can silt or soot. Ain't we gotta break it, brute strength and all?" Comes her lazy drawl, directed at @Apollinaire and @Gauthier specifically and the group in general.
