Fuck this shit. A slip in the muck gave her the upper paw and with it, he felt his ear being ripped from his head. A snarl mixed among all the sounds that were ringing around him. The Rike snarled at her as she spoke. Her face was marked in his mind. He would be back for her. He would remove her from this land. He looked around trying to get an idea of what was happening. He noticed Erna on the ground with Saga at her side. Another loss for their family. A grumble rumbled out as he turned to leave the Mire. He would be back another day.

"Many of the prides are governed by the larger families." Saoirse took in this tidbit with a quirked brow, pleasure warming her chest despite her gruesome surroundings. Where some may see it as an infuriating aristocracy, Saoirse saw opportunity to practice her craft. This place would suit her fine. "I hate everyone equally," her companion explained, earning another click of her tongue.
"At least you do not play favorites," she cooed sarcastically. It told her plenty about this lion – that he was the gruff sort, and likely not as refined as the company that she preferred to keep. Idly, she watched as the fight between the white lions came to a conclusion and raised her brows with interest as she bobbed her little tail from where she hid behind the brush. "You ask a lot of questions. Be careful with that," he warned, finally causing Saoirse to crane her neck to look back at him.
"You are probably right," she offered with a little sniff of a laugh. It was then that more of the reality of her situation sank in – of the bloodbath she was witnessing, and just how utterly strange this lion was to her. She knew nothing of him or what he was capable of, and a sudden chill crept up her spine.
"I'll leave you alone then, hmm? Thank you, Stranger," Saoirse nodded, attempting to make a hasty exit from the scene.

Alizabeth's body was aching, the adrenaline from her fight beginning to wear on her. This bitch, whoever she was, went hard. The smell radiating off of her was Wolfbron, but she had no idea who she was. Jaws had come toward her, claws flashed in her eyes. Blood and spittle dripped from her mouth and it was all she could do to focus. It seemed to happen so fast. One moment she was being attacked, the next her paw was rising and her claws were slicing into the meaty flesh of Amara's cheek and trying to drag down to her neck in a vicious rip of tendons and skin. This would no doubt scar permanently. Jerking back, pulling and curling her claws as she did so for further tearing, she bares bloody teeth at the woman. "You fight like a fuckin' bear, but I ain't got time for this shit anymore." Alizabeth backed up, standing there in a defensive manner in case the other wanted to continue. It would be stupid of her too, considering the damage to her jaw and neck. Nose wrinkles in warning, but as time went on she became distinctly aware of the throbbing pain her shoulders were experiencing.

Amara's focus was on her target so the attack on her jaw and neck landed and it landed hard. She felt the claws dig in, deep. Deeper than she cared to feel. Against her own desire, she had to pull away and the fight ended. Amara's body was tattered and blood was soaking the muck under her. She was over it. The white bitch's words annoyed her. Fuck off cub killer. You attacked me. She would find her again another day and handle things but for now, she needed to find Echo. Amara had been attacked twice and ended up defending herself and it wasn't worth it any longer. A quick look around let her know that Erna had fallen along with Saga. Some good news at least. She lifted her voice up and called to her members, it was time to go. They had fought in a war that was within the Mire's lands and it would only be a moment before Amara collected on this debt. The bleeding lioness caught sight off @Tripfire and marched toward him with an annoyed look on her face. Get your ass home. She barked at him before heading back to the Bluffs.

She won, but of course she won it was his aunt! Though he fully expected her to turn around and tell him to eff off too he was surprised when she said go home. Though her tone made it clear to not linger longer than necessary here. With a slight gulp he grunted, "yes ma'am" before quickly following after her towards the bluffs. At least he wasn't fully rejected, or maybe she was saving that for when they got home... Either way he listened to Amara without question, his loyalty to her was unwavering, if she told him to go after someone he would without hesitation.

Icefang wouldn't wait any longer to see if Kismet had any more herbal remedies for her to take. If this "healer" had poisoned her there would not be much more she could do except seek the aid of one of her own pride's doctors. Not that she knew which of her pride mates took on what roles. With one last stare at the lioness before her and then at the fights that continued to rage on around them, the ivory lioness would be quick to dismiss herself from the war droplets of blood still leaking from her tail and various cuts.

The sides are unclear, Charax's senses wildly jumping from battle to battle; trying to make sense of the mess, trying to identify brawling individuals. All around battles began to dissipate, the once-flourishing battle field becoming a mess of bloodied bodies and heated words.
Regardless, Apollinaire and Amara's fights both draw to an end, and Charax considers this an appropriate moment to depart. She shifts with a final glance across the Mire terrain. Before any new, blood-boiling lions could join the fray, the marbled woman slips off after her leader, aware, alert, bruised and battered. But today, victorious.

She would stay by, watching the chaos all around her. She should be doing something, but she felt as though she was incapable of moving. All she could do was crouch there in the grass, prey none would notice her there. Mostly she was watching Alaric and Vio, following their movements. The way Alaric was intensely staring at Erna had drawn her eyes that way, just in time to see her struggling, falling, heavily wounded.
The image of the other lioness was burned into her brain, the crimson on her fur, the vacant darkness where her eyes were supposed to be. She had never seen anything like it, it was haunting. This lioness would fall along with Erna, Patch staring mortified at Alaric as he shouted, his anguish like a slap to her face.
She would loiter awhile longer, as if she had a choice in the matter, her paws like rubber underneath her. She would see the seemingly dead lioness gasp for air, all but convinced such a creature must be something else entirely, some demon who walked the earth and refused to say down. The signs of life were enough to frighten her onto her feet, slinking away on trembling legs. She would pause only when she was far removed, looking back to observe the last remaining fights, all dying out like small flames on the wind.
Eventually, she would tear her eyes away. She would never be able to look at this stretch of land the same way again. Unfortunately, she could not simply avoid the place, she lived within its confines and would have to cross here in order to leave the pride's boundaries.

For a moment it is just she and @Fallon and Hestia is in a trance, tunnel vision on the woman's left forearm. She takes Fallon's brief moment of hesitancy to strike, grasping her wrist within her jaws before clamping down and then wrenching. She lurches backward and away from Fallon and in that moment a sickening pop! resounds in the air around her. She's realized then that she's broken Fallon's wrist; the first time ever that Hestia's gone that far to injure someone else. But suddenly she remembers what @Drakon had told her, when you are fighting someone else you'll be able to tell how serious they are. This fight with Fallon had been serious enough and if it hadn't been her doing the breaking she was almost certain that Fallon would have done the same exact thing. Her green eyes lock onto the woman, ignoring the stinging in her own wounds as she finally speaks, "Go." She snarls before turning and barreling her way back through the scattered bodies. Back to the Oasis, away from all of this mess. She would remember this day, specifically that woman. And made a note to find her father later, to ask him why the hell that man had attacked him in the first place. This was all confusing, but she knew that fighting for a cause was worth it in the end. +10 - Maim another character (2/2) +10 - Win a fight (2/2) +10 - Participate in a war (actively fighting) (2/2) |

She was plenty confused about everything that was going on but the very moment that @Baltasar said it was time to go there was no hesitation. The lilac yearling made a point to stick close to his side as she followed him out of the Mire, plenty of questions swirling in her mind. Why was Baltasar's family fighting the mire lions? It just didn't make sense. But of course she didn't have all of the information to fully grasp the situation. She didn't know that his family was enemies with the Mire but hopefully in time Baltasar would begin to explain all of that to her. She wished that she knew more but for the time being she didn't and all she had to do was trust him. She did, but she couldn't help the growing pit in her stomach at the thought of all of us.
