Nienna had been off gathering as she usually was, finding things for her sisters that she would think they would like. They were her most difficult challenge, since she wanted to get what she thought would suit them best, and every single time her own finicky nature got in the way. She believed though, that this time she had finally gotten it right and with a pleased demeanor, she set off in search of her sisters. Yet, for some reason, she kept getting the feeling that something was very, very wrong, and she could not explain why. It only furthered when she saw a group in the distance, and the familiar sunset hue of @Renly could be made out of the bunch. Frowning, Nienna broke into an immediate lope to close the space between them and as she was almost upon them, her sister's voice rose sharply up that it nearly stopped her in her tracks. Missing? Lena and Arden? It was as if her heart wanted to plummet through her chest and the young Valour girl felt the panic rise up within her as her panicked eyes tried to meet those of her sister. "R-R-enn..." That damned stutter was back, but she didn't try to correct herself as she was trying to find her own ground, even though it felt as the earth beneath her feet was crumbling. This couldn't be happening, not again. She was waiting for her sister to tell her that it wasn't true, that she was so incredibly wrong. But as she watched Renly demand of the party to begin immediately and take off towards the looming mists, the girl knew it was cruel reality. She only glanced at those in wild confusion before she too would take after Renly, her heart pounding so heavily within her chest. They had to be found. She would not lose them, she couldn't take losing anyone else. -exit Nie with Ren-

Heloise nodded slightly in agreement. They did need to get moving sooner rather than later, especially since they didn't know what might happen to those who had vanished into the mist. They had several lions ready and willing to hunt, so she thought this was as good of a time as any.
"Come lend us your eyes and ears," she said to Caligula, before she turned to follow the others. Surely they could handle this amongst themselves, without having to rope any other prides into it. Some part of her wasn't willing to admit that they were missing anyone, because they had already had others come for their home more than once. Best to keep this between themselves for now.

her frown deepened the longer the conversation went on, unfettered anguish growing stronger and more potent within her stomach. none of it made sense, and it baffled the valour woman deeply — but what could she do other than play her part amongst this horrid situation, and follow her heart into the winding tendrils of this mist? she had a duty to find them, to protect them, and yet could not help herself from thinking that her nieces, nephews, and pridemates should have been spared from such sorrow. as the group made their intentions clear, however, nymeria would nod in harmony to their diligence, aiming to close the distance between herself and @Calder, in order to offer him a small nuzzle of comfort, before following the trail back towards the forest’s edge. they would find them - they had to. exit.

Caligula wasn't turned away like he almost feared that he would be. He considered the other Vermedans to be his family but that didn't mean they felt the same about him. To the maneless male family was more than just blood relations. To him, his friends were close enough to be family.
"Of course." The small bronze male responded to Heloise as he proceeded to follow after her. He was willing to do what he could to help find the missing Brook members. He had warned Aquila of this. Caligula hated being right. He had hoped he was wrong about this mist.

Aquila, already ready to be on his way, sprang into movement as others began to file away from the scene and into a search party. His first few steps would take him up along Caligula's side. He aimed to run his dulled bronze pelt along his mate's sun kissed hide and fall into step wit the smaller male's gait. His silver eyes darted left, right, around him trying to keep tabs on whoever else was moving in this direction. The mist though was thick and it made the task difficult. Hopefully they wouldn't lose anyone else trying to find those already consumed by the veil.

Tullia listened diligently, but commenting nothing, simply in silence but not less interested in the matter. She was also worried even though she didnt show it on her face that was serene for the time being, hiding the concern within. Eyes traveling from lion to lion, as some spoke, but also others didnt like her, but in moments like this words werent as important as taking actions. Words wouldnt save the missing, it was up to what they actually did if they would be found soon. She nodded as the other lions one by one were taking their leave. And in silence she left to search. exit Tullia

"I don't have much faith Maua will be of help."
"This needs to happen now."
The corners of Calder's lips pressed down into the firm edges of a frown as his cousins denied his suggestions of speaking with Maua, quick to leave the idea in favor of plans to search. They might as well have slashed him in the chest for how his lungs tightened and his throat swelled with anguish, hurt feelings clouding his mental vision and heresy injuring his feeble understanding of their world. He darted his gaze around quickly to assess the faces of his family in search of anyone who might share these feelings, stunned to find that their attention was fixed anywhere else but on the god who had given them the very family they sought to locate.
"See how far you get without Them," Calder muttered bitterly, his gaze narrowed to hide the threat of tears. Unable to meet their gazes any longer, he turned to dart his way into the forest.
