Sedona is just as much a product of her heritage as she is of circumstance. Her nature demands that life goes her way--a stubborn little thing, with attitude to spare. She is born possessive of what she deems as hers, from her favorite chewing bone to her sleeping quarters, to the friends she keeps. Possessions determine one's place in the world and she is not keen to let go of what anchors her. Sedona views life through a rather literal lens, preferring to live in the present rather than making any grand plans for her future. Those more prone to philosophical drawl will struggle to keep her attention and may even earn her ire, as she sees this as a waste of time at best and, at its worst, a malicious mask.

Sleep disorders stunt her growth very early on, and she will never grow to reach even her mother’s size. As a Casales's strength is their marker of success, Sedona is aware of her small stature very early on and is prone to overcompensating in her words and actions so that her value cannot be questioned. She makes an art out of hunting and practices tirelessly to perfect her craft and provide for her pride, also taking an interest in the medicinal properties of the vegetation of the mire to try and aid with her sleeping troubles.

While the future is not often on her mind, Sedona will eventually discover that she feels driven toward providing for family--be they her pride or any future cubs she may bear. She thrives the most when she feels a valued part of a group and will be a hard friend to get rid of once she latches onto those she loves. She is content to leave matters of ambition to her siblings in favor of enjoying more simple pleasures such as a good meal or a beautiful day.

inelegant in design, with claws too long and a gray too sickly and dark to be considered beautiful. amongst her siblings, lúthien is not the most outstanding in looks, but she is healthy and large, a testament to her father's will and mother's strength. her legs are strong and thick, with lush fur lining the back. her face resembles half a lynx and half a lion, both rounded ears and tufts that sprout from the cheeks and behind the ears. the fur on her chest is just as much, but when one holds her close, they will feel the supple muscles rippling beneath. she is more long than tall, with a natural femininity in her curves and dips. yet still, lúthien is not the prettiest; traits one may find in a proper woman, like her mother maia, are rare to see. she is more like her father, with a stoic and masculine face befitting of a warrior. there's very little one may see of her mother in her, save for the diluted version of maia's gray and the subtle marking on her nose. once she turns a full year, she will start to accessorize with full feathers in an assortment of colors.

personality

she is the shield and her family's most valiant sword. she is also the firstborn, the misty princess of the mire, and the heart to her family's strength. from the day she is conceived into this world, lúthien guides her siblings with a protective paw and a level-headed mind. lúthien does not mind the hierarchy of eldest male being betrothed, but she also believes it a necessity, as eldest of three siblings, to lead and set herself as a good example. not to lord over, but to guide and protect, and to keep outside environment from stifling their growth. but her utmost desire is to prove to her family that she is reliable and worthy of being a casale daughter. she longs to be useful and steadfast, with a resilience to match her mother and charisma like her father. though enticed by a good spar, she is honorable and fair. anything that may make the fight unfair is cause enough for lúthien to stop and postpone.

it seems there are very little that gets underneath her skin, unless it's matters of the family and the heart. the latter is a carefully guarded secret, but lúthien is prone to escaping strong emotions both literally and figuratively. she cannot handle the burden of being in love, in grief, or, if the spirits will, in hatred. for when she feels, she feels strongly. it'll take her many years before she can properly accept these feelings as the norm.

since her youth, she has a fascination with stories of her parents' conquests and tales of heroes and warriors. as she grows, she will impart her knowledge to her siblings in her own way. is it not the responsibility of the oldest to be a proper role model? even if it means showing them how to fight and how to dominate, to defend and to consume. she protects her family fiercely and will be the first to act should danger provoke them. ever the sacrificial lamb, lúthien will not hesitate to throw her body forward and suffer the consequences for anyone she loves. and like a shield, she is staunch and rigid in her stance. once she forms her own opinions, it will take many years and actions for her to change her mind. being born princess, lúthien speaks differently to those outside of her family and are of lower status. the kindness in her words veil condescension, even coldness, that which she may or may not be aware of.

Name: Amandil Casales

Description: As a child, he is of monochromatic coloration - his eyes the only bright speck of color from his palette. His pelt is a shade of charcoal grey, his eyes are surrounded with a double set of dark circles inherited from his father, and beneath his eyes - kissing his cheeks are the speckles of his mother. There is a faded shading to his face and cheeks that will eventually blend in with his mane. Upon his hide is faint speckles of ash, concentrated mostly upon his back, hips, shoulders and head, but they do fall like snow upon his limbs.

As an adult, his mane of darkest ebony will grow in, surrounding his frame and extending down his belly. His legs will be graced with the longer fur of those more suited towards cooler temperatures, and they too, will be shaded in ebony strands. Extra fluffy with claws that never quite seem to retract fully, this lion will grow to a large size, and bulk in muscle in his shoulders and chest like his father.

Personality: A lot rests upon his shoulders from a young age, and he knows that it's expected of him to be the exemplary son. As such, the child seems to grow out of his childhood playtime faster than most - taking criticism to heart and using it to form who he is. He looks up to his parents and wishes to please them, to make them proud. As such, he takes the mantle placed upon his shoulders very seriously. This includes the care of his siblings, and the duty to his family to wed whom he is placed with.

An honor he finds great pride in, and will go out of his way to ensure that the affianced is proud of him as well. He will often - and perhaps it is his folly - but he will often find himself stepping up into situations he may not yet be ready for, in an attempt to find approval from his parents.

From the moment his glimmering purple eyes open Antonio would have the light of the sun in him. As a cub he would be nothing but the perfect prince, his desire to be perfect and make his family proud is undying. Through his sometimes serious tone glimpses of glee and happiness radiate from him. All he ever wants to do is earn his place and prove himself. Al the while, being a fun loving little boy who virtually walks on fluffy moon filled clouds.

He may be full of joy and emotion, but he is not weak by any means. He is not NIAVE. They will be no need for fancy words of soft tone- get straight to the point. After all, an angel prince has no time for the fanciest of words if they are only to save feelings. He’s a big boy, tell him what’s happening as it is. He is no fool, only a true fool could take him for such. He’s clever, strategical in a way. He always has time for a little wonder and imagination, but there is also time for true fact. No matter how harsh or painful. To hide something from him to spare his emotions, in his mind is worse than lying and spitting in his face.

His efforts to prove himself are constant. He loves each and every one of his siblings, but he wants to be better. He wants to be the best. For while his loyalty is never ending, he won’t just sit in shadows. His cubhood will likely be spent trying to tag around with his parents and siblings or challenging them to spars. All in freindly nature and a good manner of course.

With age, he would contribute as much as he can, hosting hunts and begging to attend any sort of important diplomatic activities and keeping relations with allies strong would be a goal. When his father decides if he shall be betrothed, Antonio will provide no protest, as meek as a kitten.
