the past three months have come in rapid succession. new and old faces alike have congregated within the hollows, filling out each tunnel and cavern, like blood in veins. in the morning, when the sun's lights grace the entrance of the hollows, ulla wakes from her sleep. it has been a restless sleep, full of tensions and stress simmering beneath her skin for a diagnosis she knows nothing of. this strange sickness, this phantom sickness, makes her feel sticky and unclean. even still, ulla cannot shy away from the tunnels as she makes her way to the large central chamber. this place has seen the likes of her and nadia's challenge, but there have been other brawls in the past. old stains, dried paw prints, and what looks to be slash marks from claws litter the area. this will do, ulla thinks, as she tips her head up and calls for the pride.

Why was he here? It was unknown to him aside from the fact that Gostir knew the sounds of a leader calling for a pride meeting. His father has done it. Jewel and even Avaneria. So this was no different. What was different was when the Tollaire yearling showed up and he was the first in the clearing that @Úlla had picked out. Interesting and rather disappointing as Gostir settled near one of the many walls that the cavern held and waited for the meeting to begin. Though he would dip his head to the Soveriegn, there were no words uttered beneath his breathe.

singing softly a siren's song, Despite having no real position in the pride she had come swiftly to the call of the leader. There was still a deep respect for the gray woman at the head of the pride, and Lycaonia would be certain to show as much. The pale form came to stand next to the only other member currently present (@Gostir) whom she didn't know. A kindly look was thrown in his direction. "I'm Lycaonia, it's a pleasure to meet you." A friendly announcement had been made to her pride mate before sunset eyes scanned back to @Úlla. There wasn't much to be said between them yet. Some day she hoped to remedy that and know the lions of Obsidian Hollow better than she did now, which was to say she didn't know them at all.

Might have been the first time since his arrival in Amaryllis that he heard anyone call for their pride to gather. That might also be due to the fact the hollows was the only pride he'd joined since arrival.

Hesitating at the mouth of the caverns, he was caught between continuing on with his plan to explore some new place, and turning back to answer the call. After a few seconds, he sighed and turned, heading back in toward the summons.

Surprisingly, he'd found he liked the hollows. The constantly-cool temperature reminded him of his homelands, in a way, and his dark mottled pelt made it easier to blend with the shadows, which let him explore relatively unbothered. If he needed true stealth, he would have to cover the bright tips to his mane and tail, but that had yet to be necessary.

He wasn't the first to arrive, but the important thing was he wasn't the last, either. He fixed his expression into one of friendly curiosity before he made it to he chamber, and offered @Úlla an inquisitive grin as he arrived and found himself a seat.

Where there was a call, he would answer. It would seem as though he wasn't late, thankfully, but the trio of youth that was there made him feel even older than he already did these days. At least down here he didn't have to worry as much about his mostly blind side, as the relative darkness put everyone on a more even footing.

He still sat with his left side towards the wall, though there was ample space between himself and it for at least a couple of lions to fit. He didn't want to make his weakness too obvious, or make it appear as though he was leaning against the wall for strength. He wasn't quite to that point yet.

Úlla’s summon echoed through the tunnels of the Hollow and found Hiccup in his den, where he’d been napping. The beckoning sound reached through his pleasant dreams and lured him out, making him blink his mercury-hued eyes open. He needed another minute before he could do more than that, but soon he was peeling himself from the various skins that served as his bed and, following a full-body stretch, he headed out.

Behind him, the cowrie shells on the bracelet he wore on the end of his tail quietly clacked and rattled as he flicked it. The sound was strangely comforting for the boy, who had recently sprouted a snow-white tuft of hair on his striped head. He was no longer the orphaned hairball that Úlla had carried home so many months ago — he was nearly a teenager now! A few more months and he could finally take on responsibilities in the pride. Hiccup was looking forward to it.

He arrived in the meeting chamber and saw that a small group had already gathered, but there was nobody he immediately recognized. That wasn’t really a surprise — Hiccup liked exploring, and most of his days were spent running around with his friends, well beyond the boundaries of the pride. Well, he supposed now was a good time as ever to get to know his neighbors.

With that thought in mind, Hiccup made his way to a dark-colored male — someone a little closer to his age. Not a kid, but still young compared to … well, everybody else. “Hey!” he piped and plopped on his behind next to him, not at all shy about introducing himself and striking up a conversation. “I’m Hiccup! What’s your name?”

he doesn't belong among the crowd. however could he? there was such a difference between him and them, but no matter how big they were and how small he was. aster would always feel at home, feel, no, believe that he was just as identical to each and every body that bemused within a sea of faces. aster would and always would be a lion at heart, and no one could ever convince him otherwise. no matter how hard they denied and tried. he was hers, and she was his - wherever they would go so would the cub-pup coming in toe.

it is his first of many meetings, a gathering that while it was made of same species garnered a different reaction from the child. he doesn't quite understand his place as prince yet, nor does the customs of what his mothers lineage set before them has established long before his coming. it is an act that would be frowned upon by many, maybe even garnering a smack from a prude elder in some cultures. but for aster, it is simply just habit as his frame weaves in-between his mothers legs. curious frame pressing tightly unto her forearm in a loving nuzzle. whats this mama? it is but a whisper among the crowd as the cub-pups muzzle tips upwards in a question glance, frazzled features gleaming with a sort of curiosity that only a child could hold. he wonders briefly if @Úlla will make him leave. join the fray or perhaps depart back to their den, but for now what will a bit of cubish curiosity hurt?

Alva heard the high sovereign’s call from her own den (where she had, rather ironically, been thinking about talking to Úlla soon) after all, she wished to get to know the high sovereign better. But she couldn’t help but be stiff and awkward around the sovereign. In almost any sinario. For she was bear’s mother- and she dated bear. If that wouldn’t have been awkward enough poor Alva had never known a mother figure. In fact the only other female she’d ever really been around was her sister Thana. So Úlla was very much an oddity to Alva. She knew exactly what Úlla was- a sovereign a mother and a lion. But she didn’t particularly know how to act in response to some of those things.

As the call echoed through her ears Alva didn’t flinch- rather she collected herself from her thoughts and walked towards the call. When she reached the cavern it didn’t take long for her eyes to adjust. She took a seat near the back- unsure of what to do with herself. Though when she did she Úlla (with what appeared to be a sort of pup-cub between her legs?) she smiled rather nervously and nodded in greeting.

He'd been biding his time in the Hollows, mostly trying to spend it with his children while he could. That didn't mean he was the most present- his mind was still wrapped around Vermier and he was determined to hunt the coward down even if it was the last thing he'd do. Vermier wouldn't get to hide from his actions, Zoticus would make sure of it.

Hearing Ulla call for the pride, Zoticus decide to make a show. Chuffing, he called for @Zosimos @Thanos @Kyros and @Deiaskaya to join with him, knowing pride life was good and maybe there were other cubs they could play with or make friends with. Arriving, he gave Ulla a nod before settling down to his hind legs with a sigh.

With due time the tunnels had grown on him.

It wasn't better than the Bluffs, no, but it also was better than nothing. He was bitter when they first joined but maybe he could make something of this place, or at least, find some training to help better himself. With the call of his father, Zosimos rose and followed him to the meeting. He wondered what the leader had to say and what would be addressed, would there be anything he could learn? Benefit from? Settling down by his father Zosimos watched with eager eyes to see the outcome of this.
