He had left rhe den early. No one had been around to stop him. Not that they could even if they tried! The little princeling was untouchable! Or so his father told him. One day he would be a beast set loose upon the world. To rip and tear and crack and bludgeon as much as he wanted.

But that would be when he grew up. Roght now he eas too little. Too small. Too young. And that made him impatient. Irritated. Angry. He wanted to be big now! Right now! He wanted to Close his eyes and then be as big if not bigger than papa when they opened again.

In the end he would simply have to wait. But for right now he'd take his frustration out on the grasshoppers that currently leapt away from him with each pounce he took.

There was a boy. One he didn't know, yet there was something familiar about his aura. Had the ability to smell, he would know that this child was one of Cassius. A connection to the Heir, and thus, X'uekai royalty. "Hello, child..." He rumbles with a powerful usher of sound. His ghostly form is in full force now, alight with the morning rays of sunshine coming to life. Bringing the world into a new day. Stepping closer, his head would lower, head tilting to listen to the boy's movements. What was he doing? It sounded as if he were running, no...pouncing, on something.

There was a certain rage boiling up within the boy as time and time again he missed his mark. The grasshoppers steadily began to chirp to one another, to which Cade interpreted as laughing! He squeaked a cub's roar as his tiny claws violently thrashed through the grass and dirt. Die! Die! He screamed over and over until a voice interrupts him.

Kincade halts his antics and the insects halt their singing. Everything around grows eerily quiet. A case that should have left the youth in fear. But nothing but audacious spite kept that kid breathing on the day to day. So with as much bravado as he can muster, he squares up to the see-through lion, pale brows cast down to mix into a not so intimidating snarl. Who are you? The child demands, looking the haunt up and down as if to size him up for a fight.

Oh, he was a brave one. From what he could discern, the child hadn't flinched or so much as been spooked by his appearance. In fact, it seemed he was sizing him up. Head tilts, ears listening intently as the boy asks, no, demands to know who he is. Slowly his lips peel back, showing shiny, haunting teeth that gleam at the boy in a threatening manner. "I am your grandfather, Renozuri, you will do well to mind your tongue with me." He didn't know for sure this was one of Cassius' sons, but given his attitude - it fit. Renozuri inches closer, looming over the boy in a way he'd come to enjoy as of late.

The stranger introduces himself as Grandfather. As Renozuri. A name he had heard here and there across his brothers. But Cade only scrunched up his nose, face twisting as his head tilts all the way back in order to continue glaring. Nearly he is pushed back to his rump.

Tongues don't have brains! He huffed confidently. What a terribly silly thing to say. Tongues with minds. It made no sense! Why do you look like that? Why are your eyes that way? Where have you been? Does my dad know you're here? Cuz I'll tell 'im!

A flurry of further demands and then the threat of going and getting his big bad dad. As if it meant anything to this ghoul. As if it'd do anything.

My father will hear about this, havinass.

"It is a phrase, insolent little boy." He chides with a vicious grin. A low laugh escapes him, the sound only growing louder, echoing further as the boy continues to speak. Oh, did he know who he was talking to? "I am dead, that is why, and I am blind." He rumbles, answering the first two questions. The devil didn't mind answering the boy, for knowledge was power. And he favored intelligence over brute strength. "Your father does know I am here, he wants me to speak with you. Teach you." He drawls, fangs flashing once more. This boy, so far, proved to be the most defiant. It was both amusing and annoying, but Renozuri would do his best to encourage this behavior, but target it toward a different focus altogether.
