It took some time for her to meet with her son before she traveled to Firnen, shed taken a few days to recoup before setting out, but once she felt ready, she was quick to land on the borders, she still carried Firnens scent, barely, but she thought it better to not cross, because she intended to leave Firnen, not come back.

Once properly situated at the edge, the once queen would settle back on her haunches, tail tucked around her legs and hips comfortably, she took a moment to look at what was once her kingdom before gently calling out to the new King.

Emerald eyes scanned the surroundings, taking in the foliage, not knowing if she wished to memorize the kingdom she once ruled, or let them fade into long forgotten memories. Shed often caught herself wondering if maybe had her husband never taken Firnen for himself, would things have turned out the way they had? Would he still be alive? Would they have not garnered so many enemies like they had?

He moved readily toward the summons, jutting each leg out in turn in a quivering stretch before picking up a more steady pace through the forest. It did not take long at all for the new monarch to gather that he approached the borders, leading him to assume this call was either political in nature or that of a perspective member.

"Yes?" Bruno questioned as he broke through jungle canopy. He squinted slightly against the daytime sun, just able to make out her dark, dappled pelt from where the lioness sat. The more of those calls he answered, the less wordy he became. Little would change a mind made up.

He doesn't make her wait long and she is appreciative of that, the lioness moves a little so that she isn't clouded in darkness, she gives a respectful nod, "Hello, sorry if I interrupted your day, I was with Firnen recently, but somethings came up and I was unable to make my way home, I know there was a recent change and I would like to ask to be released."

She was not short and sweet to the point, she wanted to give her wants and her reasons without the unnecessary details, her eyes glance past him, a quiet goodbye to the home she had known for so long.

Emerald gaze slides back to the curly maned male, she didn't see him as someone who would hold others hostage without good reason, so she felt no reason to worry, her body language relaxed, tail flicking back and forth

His expression did little to reveal the surprise simmering within as she confessed to being a Firnenite despite standing on that side of the border. Bruno twitched his whiskers at the revelation that he would not be gaining a new member in her, a few beats of silence enveloping the pair as the lioness asked for her release.

"I did not realize we were on terms to ask favors," he muttered facetiously. It was one aspect of a takeover he had not had to deal with in securing Ecrosia; those who followed Alaric hardly missed a step in their marching inheritance. Bruno tossed his head to the side in obvious thought to cast a stray curl from his gaze and seemed to mull over the matter quietly.

"Why leave? Where will you go?" He questioned, still peering off into the depths of that forest.

She watches the curly haired lion for a moment, she doesn't seem offended by his comments, she can understand where he comes from, he'd taken Firnen, and with it, it's pride members, so in actuality, she was under his rule at the moment. It didn't bother her so much, as he could have been much worse.... Like Ludivine.

She swallows as she remembers that ordeal, she swears she can still feel the sisters tongue shed taken for torturing her son. She gently shakes the memory away and focuses back on the young king, he questions her and she frowns for a moment, brows furrowing. Where would she go? She could try to maybe go to Obsidian, but honestly she did not know.

""Well, let me restart I guess, I am Levana Dantanian, my son was the previous king, I was the sovereign but was ambushed outside the borders, I was taken from Firnen so I wasn't here. Before my son took over, I ruled with my late husband, Ryker, before it was taken from us by Ludivine and hers."" She flicks her tail, her half torn ear flicking back for a moment as she looks away then back again, ""I don't know where I'd go yet, I assumed the new King would want me gone.""

He did not meet her gaze as she spoke, instead twitching kinked whiskers at the revelation that she was his opponent's mother and Ryker's former wife. Those words - late husband - dragged him down with a new weight. If he had already known of the lion's death, it settled upon him anew.

"I do not give members away freely," Bruno murmured in croaked baritone, finally casting emerald stare upon her. His skin crawled with dread as he considered word of it getting out: 'just ask, and that stale Starke will let anyone go.' It was a precedent he did not intend to uphold. "But, Ryker was a good ally. If you want to go, go." He would not look away from her until he had his answer, lest his offer expire.

Levana listened with a calm resolve, her gaze shifted away from his as he began to speak, she was not used to being trapped, having been with Ryker from the beginning, she had been at his side through most of it all. But never had she been prisoner, or forced to stay in a pride she didn't want, so his first sentence has her ears perking, her gaze snapping back to him.

But then he gives her a way out, due to her late husband, her heart still aches as she places that word before husband, her breath hitches as she wishes it were different. But the curiosity is there, and the fact that he knew her husband, and was willing to let her go. It made her curious.

But not curious enough to stay at the moment, she would be back in time, to ask her questions but for now, she gave a polite bow of the head. "I appreciate it, King Bruno." And then she turned, disappearing in the jungles foliage.
