PYRRHA TOLLAIRE

With the stock from last month's hunts beginning to drain Pyrrha sets off once again to find some prey to take down and fill up the caches of Caladan. The pride, the family, would not suffer in winter's cold. She is following along a prey's trail inland and sniffing at a few walking paths. The scent of different creatures cross over one another again and again. It made finding scents easy but tracking one specific one difficult. Instead of trying to stick to one scent she followed whatever seemed strongest at the time- in hopes that she'll hit prey eventually.

Aside from being just a generally useful life skill, he figured learning to hunt would also be good if he wanted to actually help out the pride. Cinder wasn't out to be a lazy freeloader, after all. He'd been wandering the territory, trying to decide if he should find somewhere grassier to practice or maybe just...go chase crabs, when he caught sight of the sovereign, who looked like she was on some kind of mission.

He'd shift his direction, trotting to fall in alongside her with curiosity plain on his face. "What're we after?" More of a stage-whisper than a whisper whisper. They were hunting, right? He hadn't just awkwardly imposed himself on her?

Quietly Rose slipped in behind the other two as they weaves their way behind the strawberry queen as she scented her territory for what it had to offer. Hunts had become second nature to her, a given that she’d pop in and help wherever she could. Recording the events of the pride and entertaining its members was an interesting job, but it went smoother with something in their bellies. She glances down to the side at @Cinder as the young lion approaches her. She leans towards his ear and maintains a similar sort of quiet tone so as not to disturb anything around them. "Whatever the first weakened thing we see." She wasn't going to be picky as long as it was something that the lions who gathered could take down. @Rose joins and Pyrrha nods her way. Looks like 3 to start.

They wouldn't have time for more to come before an opportunity presents itself - a creature tired and weary from winter has fallen behind the rest of the herd. Pyrrha races off, head down and fangs bared. It was alone, it would suffer for it.

He was late, but that bothered him little. After all, he had arrived, no? More than that, who could truly fault him for being so busy. Ruling a kingdom had its pressures, more than he expected, if he were honest with himself, but none so much that he could not bear it.

His blood had destined him for it.

So he did not wait for them to plan how they might attack their prey. A king needn't concern himself with such things when they were destined to succeed. He charged forward, teeth bared and claws unsheathed, seeking to rend muscle from bone.

Ahhh so brother dearest decided to join them? Pyrrha's voice raises up into a bellowing roar of a battle cry as she is jostled away from the prey and catches sight of Drauhir going in for his own attack. "That all you got?" She'll egg him on. Maybe he'll get a few extra hits in to try and prove her wrong. This is somewhere that Pyrrha will happily see her brother succeed, it'll mean food for them all. Her call turns into a laugh as she runs back in with claws flared out to rend away flesh and draw blood.

His lips curled into a faint snarl as he heard @Pyrrha’s taunt, though he did not turn his attention away from the prey in front of him. Her mocking words, the bellowing roar, they were all part of the familiar rhythm they shared in the hunt, but this time, something stirred in him.

'That all you got?'

She wanted to push him, test him, and the fire in his blood flared in response.

Keep laughing, nethel, he growled lowly, eyes locked on their target. We’ll see who makes the kill first. His muscles tensed, ready to spring.

With a powerful leap, he surged forward, his focus sharpened, determined to silence her taunts by being the first to rend their prey.

More herbs to farm for that sweet sweet medical experience. Devil's claw this time. A rather early picking of this plant but each stage had its uses. Not only that but she could easily dig up and replant this somewhere closer to her new growing garden. The third of which she spends her time tending between raising her sons. Thankfully they were growing big enough to no longer need her as frequently. Leaving her time to make her regularly scheduled trek back to the Hollows. To tend to the Savante's ritual stores as well as her secret desert garden. Something she no longer needed but still get too attached to give up just yet.

A tall monstrous thing gallops awkwardly passed. The top of his head all that Lilliana can see but the smell of blood and the sound of snarls signal that once again this would be a good opportunity to lend a helping claw.

And see they shall. If was even going to be discernable in the swarm of lions to the prey once it begins to fall who made the kill. Amongst the pride there were others who could certainly end up snuffing out the creature's light before either young Tollaire. But she's pushed his buttons, and off he goes in another skillful attack that will certainly help in the task of taking the creature down. Pyrrha grins to herself and, determined not to let her brother outshine her in this moment, she launches in for another attack on their soon to be meal. She licks at her lips and leaps- claws extended and teeth ready to grasp and drag through.

The boy nodded, a quick, sharp, motion to show he understood without making any more noise than absolutely necessary. Others joined, but Cinder found himself falling back once things really began. For one, it was a creature he'd never encountered before - all long limbs and neck and spots - for another, the banter between the rulers was something he wasn't quite sure how to take. Was this normal hunting behavior? It was his first time living among a group, so he really didn't know that much.

Regardless, he'd fall in as a chaser, helping to drive the strange and awkward beast toward deadly jaws.

And when everything was finished and the dust settled, he'd stand there panting with the exertion and a faint, accomplished, smile on his face. This working in a group thing felt pretty good.
