October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

Dominic ascended the mountain, the crisp air filling his lungs with a sense of invigoration that only the high altitudes could provide. The slopes were lush, teeming with life, and the paths winding through the valley seemed almost enchanted, each one offering the promise of discovery or peril. The mountain radiated an energy that felt almost tangible, a force that seemed to seep into the very ground beneath his paws.

Pausing on a rocky outcrop, Dominic took a moment to look around for any potential medical items in this area. Something familiar did pull his attention. Purple flowers atop almost dry looking leaves. He inches closer and studies it a bit longer before pulling some carefully away and storing it away. Wolfsbane. Never hurt to have a little on you.

The cool mountain breeze swept over him, carrying his call as he summoned any others to join him on the hunt. His eyes darted across the terrain, noting the hidden alcoves and steep drops that could easily turn the pursuit into a deadly game. Every shadow, every rustle in the underbrush was a potential sign of prey — or predator. The mountain was bountiful, but it demanded respect, and Dominic knew better than to underestimate it.

Mountains she knew. Mountains she understood. She had been born in the mountains. Not -these- mountains of course. Her birthplace had been a wooded mountain chain with vast grasslands bellow a long, long way from here.

Still, although this was a foreign mountain, in a strange place, there was a certain comfort and familiarity to ascending steep slopes once more. In the thinner and crisp air that was drawn into her lungs with each breath.

Vibrant crystline pink eyes paused drinking in the landscape as a call went up. A call to come and join a hunt. Shifting her weight she moved with careful but swift steps, seeking out the male that called.

Moviing towards him she sought to creep low, hiding behind some brush and seeking out @Dominic 's gaze to let him know she was joining the hunt. Then scanning forward her gaze sought out a target while her lips silently mouthed her hunting prayer.

{'Baransu no kami, sufudo~uan jinsokuna shi o atae, hantā no inochi o mamorimasu. Watashi no kari o tantō shite kudasai.'} (Sufuduan, god of balance whobestows a quick death upon our prey and protects the hunter's life. Please watch over my hunt.)

Then she noticed it... an elephant calf. Oh! Now how did that young one get up here? Lost so far from where it should be. Hopefully they could make its end swift.

Mirai was used to climbing the bluffs. Largely barren rock faces, thin winding trails along sharp drops, and small ledges. This place also required a steep climb - but it went far higher, and in many ways was far more forgiving.

She was intrigued.

There was more foliage in this place than she was used to. Moving along in the thinned and crisp air Mirai wondered what sort of prey lived up on the mountain? She started to look, search for tracks and learn where and how tracks were laid down in this substrate.

Rabits were scented. Signs of their nibbling teeth and droppings. Various birds sounding in the trees. A few hooves spoke of some kind of grazing animals. But nothing held her focus as much as the large, round tracks she spotted after a time. Small broken twigs and flattened plants - signs of something reasonably large passing through.

Carefully she followed the trail. The tracks. Sniffing the side of a tree where some bark had been scraped. Upon taking a deep draw in of breath she caught the tint of a known scent. Elephant?

But with the tracks the size she had seen, it would need to be a smaller one. The sound of a summon told her where to go. Her eyes cast to seek out those of the two others she noticed. A lion, and a lioness. Shall they wait for more, or move to track and kill it themselves?

She had been tracking an elephant calf when she stumbled upon its prints from the plains. It was mostly boredom, but also the lack of an adult walking beside it had caused her to follow. Maybe it would be an easy kill, likely weak and malnourished without an adult by its side. Soon, she notices some lion prints, but continues her way a brow raising at the fact that the calf was going up? Now why would it do such a thing she wondered. Kyra shakes it off and braces herself knowing that the wind was likely to decrease in temperature as she scaled the rocky slope. Soon, she finds a group lingering ahead and she walks up as her brown eyes fall on the baby up ahead. Maybe they should consider it falling over the edge and have their pickings at the bottom of the peak.

i'll be your slaughterhouse, your killing floor
your morgue and final resting—

the mountains were trecherous beneath his massive paws, but even so, raizo delighted in the thrill of danger. picking up speed, the great beast would race a full lap around the territory, before finally coming to pause beside a massive boulder, biding his time in regaining his breath.

taking his time further to sharpen his talons, the basilisk would drag his nails over the harsh, granite surface, disturbing the rubble beneath his feet, as he takes the moment to sharpen his claws. his claws would tap and slide viciously over the boulder, sharpened over and over until they glistened in their obsidian smoothness. satisfied with their new-forged lethality, raizo would then move away, shifting his muscular figure towards the side.

up ahead, the scent of prey beckons,

the scent of a hunting party.

as easy as sin, the golden beast would join them in their hunt, his massive paws devouring the earth below, the flex of his talons stretched outward as he aims to close the distance between them, to cleave his talons into the elephant calf's side. his jaws salivate readily, fangs gleaming over ink-stained lips as he snaps for the tender, meaty flesh.

Perched high on the rugged mountain peak, Lorant blended seamlessly into the rocky terrain, his dappled coat a perfect match for the mottled stone around him. The wind howled through the crags, carrying with it the faint echoes of distant prey and the unmistakable scent of the lions moving below. From his vantage point, the leopard could see them weaving through the rocks, their powerful bodies moving with lethal grace as they stalked an unsuspecting elephant calf.

The air grew thin at this altitude, but the leopard’s breath remained steady, his focus unbroken. He knew their hunt would be swift and brutal, and once the kill was made, their guard might lower just enough. Lorant crept closer, his movements calculated and silent against the rough terrain. He would wait until the lions were deep into their feast, distracted by the spoils of their hunt. Then, like a shadow in the night, he would slip down the mountainside, snatch a piece of the kill, and vanish into the rocks before they even knew he was there.

Only this and nothing more
quoth the raven "Nevermore"
Arduous though the climb is, the mountain is familiar. The magpie remembers the easier trails well, though today, teenage confidence drives her steadily higher to where the ground grows rougher and more treacherous. As her father had suggested, there was little sign now that Fissure had ever resided in the cliffs hidden amidst the rocks, but Kinga is no less determined to go over the entire mountain with a fine-tooth comb, just in case.

At least it's not like she'll leave entirely empty-pawed, in any case. The fluttering fronds of oil palms catch her interest every now and again, beckoning her to dig up their fruits before the cold ground could take them. They're not in the best condition, she notes as she studies her bounty with a critical eye, but they're good enough that she'll store them away in her pouch, nevertheless. Poison antidotes were good to keep on hand, when one busied themselves with the sorts of experiments that she did.

Or maybe she could whip up a quick painkiller with them, should anyone in the nearby hunting party injure themselves trying to chase a panicked elephant calf around these dangerous cliffs. The girl rolls her eyes at the risky nature of it, but curiosity urges her to join in the chase all the same, loping with caution near the back of the pack.

If someone did get injured, it would be a shame if she missed the opportunity to display her burgeoning talents. So long as got a fresh meal in return, of course.

black moons
in those eyes of hers

Nyaxia is an opportunistic woman. She sees a large hunt gathering, she joins in. It goes against her very nature to deny the call of the hunt, and although it will always be far tougher and less meaningful than if it were a hunt with her sisters, the woman knows sentimentality has little place here. This is the time for focus; errors could be fatal, and she's far too busy to be dead. Her ears are forever swiveling as she approaches the gathering already locked in on their target. An elephant calf may not be as deadly as its mother, but Nyaxia isn't willing to treat it as a casual sort of thing. The location of the hunt was unfortunate, but she supposes they could use it to their advantage if they worked together.

The presence of another Bluffs member is what draws Donatien out of his hiding spot, mouth agape as he watches the horde descend on the calf. He’d been tracking the thing since it separated from its mother, but not surprisingly he isn’t the only one. One by one, others all creep from the shadows of the peak. He lingers, watchful and silent as ever, waiting and waiting.

And then one - and then another - lunges toward the elephant. If ever there was a cue, it was that. Donatien lurches forward, joining the strangers, willing to share this bounty if they bring it down. But rather than running at it, he veers to the left and near the cliff's edge, ensuring the calf cannot run off of it in its attempt to flee the oncoming hunting party.

He'd been making the most of the rocky terrain to train - climbing across boulders and down rock ledges until his lungs had begun to prickle with the familiar burn of exertion - when he'd heard the familiar sounds of a hunting party at work. His efforts had helped to build up a considerable appetite, and so the beast would hop off of the ledge and head toward the source of the commotion swiftly. His mouth waters at the sight of the elephant calf - admittedly, he is relieved that it is a youngster, as having been hard at work already the brute is already a little fatigued and wouldn't have been sure of having the strength required to bring down a bull or a cow. By now, there are familiar faces in the posse - he glances to each of them briefly before moving in to assist with vigorous snapping and swiping.
