The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

With the last of the rainfall seeming to have swept across the peninsula, summer days await! The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

Dominic stalked the length of the Stygian Shore, his paws sinking slightly into the black sands with each measured step. The air was thick with the scent of salt and decay, the taste of the sea clinging to his tongue as he breathed in the atmosphere of this bleak coastline.

The waves crashed rhythmically against the shore, their relentless motion mirrored by the steady beating of his heart as he moved silently along the water's edge. His eyes narrowed as he scanned the horizon, the expanse of dark sand stretching out before him, seemingly devoid of life.

With each step, he took care to erase any trace of his passage, dragging his lush tail over the sand to cover his tracks. The wind picked up, whipping some of the black grains into the air, momentarily obscuring his vision; causing the beast to snort in annoyance. Pausing suddenly, Dominic lets the breeze die down as he studied the beach, noting the patterns in the sand, the way the dunes shifted slightly with the wind.

Surprisingly, there were bits of seaweed here and there, along the shore. Dominic took a moment to study it; some of it looking more dead than others. He stopped - thankfully he had his pouch with him today. Gathering a bit of it - the bit that still looked viable, he would nudge them into his pouch carefully.

Soon, he focused back on the hunt. What kind of prey could even be hunted here, in this eerie, forsaken place? Something elusive, perhaps — something that thrived in the shadows, just as he did. Dominic felt a strange kinship with this place; a shared understanding of what it meant to survive in a world that offered little mercy. His mind wanders back to reality as the wind carries with the prospect of something after all. A low call is made to anyone around who wanted to hunt.

The moment that she saw the hippopotamus she involuntarily coughed; anxiety creeping into her bones as she realized that this was a bit more than even she could chew. Even so as she was about to raise her voice to call she could hear someone else. Eyes drifted among the shores until she felt she saw something. That same joy from a few days ago drew into her, catching every little breath in her lungs as she drew upon that excitement.

Tessa wanted to find joy in the company of other lions again who didn't keep their distance from her specifically and on purpose. Wanting them to surround her and find joy and adrenaline in just the meager little hunting exercise.

So she set off, chuffing to @Dominic as she fell into line near him. Body pushing against the sandy ground until she got her "sand-legs" and fell into a steady rhythm. Chasing the hippopotamus that had certainly found the wrong territory to be in today.

The ocean is something of an enigma. Flowing and ever-changing, it seems to be the opposite to the earth the Savante know so well, though it is certainly no less endless. Had the Mother created it too, she wonders? Surely she must have, but for what purpose, Kinga cannot say. Not yet, at least.

The gentle sounds of the lapping waves create a remarkably peaceful atmosphere for meditation - but today, it seems that peace had not been fated to last for long. A low call from upwind breaks the magpie's concentration, drawing her sapphire towards a distinct, pale-maned silhouette in the distance, standing tall against the blackened sand. It felt she ran into this man everywhere she went, now that she thinks about it.

Part of her suspects that there exists some sort of connection between them, if only because the tapestry of swirling dots that cloak his form exude familiarity. Not all of her kin chose to remain within the Hollow, after all.

"I beseech you your blessing, Mother. Grant us the gift of your strength to fell this mighty creature of water and mud. Allow us to inherit the power of life from its flesh." The girl whispers the prayer fervently under her breath as she draws closer to the precarious struggle, her pace steadily increasing until she was all but flying across the sand to nip at the hippo's feet. "We spill its blood in your name." Is it presumptuous to claim that @Dominic is driven by the same motivations as her? Perhaps.

It matters little to her when she knows that the strength of her own faith will see them through. Just as it had always seemed to see her through on her own journeys.

Sif wandered as always, exploring the coast in search of food and shelter, closer to Scilla. She knew it was only a matter of time before she finally made her return to where she was taken away from, and she wondered what Velasco and the rest of the Vermedan bastards were taking her so quickly retreat. She smiled under those cold eyes upon thinking such.

She walked finding her way into the dark sands, a feature that always made this land stand out of the rest. As her massive paws drove her in, she spotted the group. Nodding to herself she went to help them out.

She moved along the shore quietly, attempting to keep behind whatever large rocks or water logged tree trunks she could. Approaching with stealth was important, and so she would practice doing so with every approach to a hunt.

Ambushes were important, or so she'd begun to tell herself. As was keeping your scent hidden from possible prey. She'd decided to take a dip into the waters in hopes that the salty smell would mask her scent some.

The quarry in question was another hippo. Far from where it should be, the salty seas were perhaps too punishing, which would have hopefully kept it weakened. As the others began to chase, Vedette would erupt from her hiding place to assist in the chase, her teeth snapping for the creatures thick limbs, one paw swiping in hopes of staggering it.

"Covy is not and cannot participate in the hunt. She is observing/ working on other tasks."

Long slender legs carried her along the shore, as she followed the fragrant scent of herbs. She had been scouting the shore out, both racing along the sands to test her mettle and speed- and looking for herbs. Sand skidded beneath her paws, and coated up her legs, sticking to her like a very icky paste. Her lungs heaved with the effort of taking in and exhaling enough oxygen during her run, and when she spotted a large group of lions in the distance, she came to a slower pace- remaining a fair bit away. Nose twitching, she tried to take in the various scents, and watched with interest as they attacked a hippo.

She had no interest in the hunt, and wasn't sure she trusted lions enough to even try to help so she stayed back- watching them work, as she walked along the sparse plants- studying the herbs before her. Her eyes landed on some dying out pigeon pea, and she paused near it, studying the plant before she picked some quickly- eyes studying the territory as she scouted the area for any threats and landmarks to make sure she remembered where she'd found it.

She had been dozing at the very edge of the shore. Safe from even the waves of high tide, enjoying the sun soaked black sand that blended so well with her belly and lower half.

But soon enough, after some time of rest. She is drawn forth from slumber by a sound other than the call of seabirds and the rhythmic crash of waves. A low call to the hunt. A summons sent from a voice somewhat familiar to her now. One who called hunts.

Rising from the sand her prayer was already softly upon black lips. 'Baransu no kami, sufudo~uan jinsokuna shi o atae, hantā no inochi o mamorimasu. Watashi no kari o tantō shite kudasai.' (Sufuduan, god of balance who bestows a quick death upon our prey and protects the hunter's life. Please watch over my hunt.)

Even as the words slipped as a private whish, a devoted murmur - from her jaws the young lioness was moving, heading towards the call to find a small hunting party gathered and the prey of the hour. A Hippo.

Chimra blinked, once, twice. Almost fascinated. She had no idea Hippos ventured down near salt water. She was today years old upon learning this. Silently the small huntress slipped closer, and closer, positioning herself for a strike while the creature was preoccupied with the other threats.

While Mirai was well experenced in hunting and tracking prey in the inner lands, grassland, desert, and rocky places - the shore was still largely 'new' as far as places she could practice her trade. Hunt.

And this was, to her, unexpectable. How could she truly earn and carry her title unless she worked on her hunting skills over all probable landscapes? No. She had to work more. Work harder. Be worthy of the 'Lead' title.

Now 'sand' she could track in. But 'wet sand' was special. Different. And the salt in the air changed things. It took a while to even find proper tracks in the soggy and hard packed grains.

A few seabird tracks she noted. But she could not hunt them properly yet, so just followed the winding tracks for a while as practice. However something was found that she COULD follow rather easily.

The creature had been so heavy that it left circular divits in the sand that seawater swiftly filled and turned into tiny puddles. Round with little marks for nails. Hippopotamus. She knew it.

Did they swim in the ocean as well as the waterholes and river? How curious.
Following the unmistakable trail she noted how the marks became, faster, farther apart. It was running. Looking up she noticed the hunt in the distance and grinned - slipping into a run as she sprinted to join in.

The call of the hippo, frantic and angry was unmistakable. Kyra knew that animal was not an easy target and a dangerous opponent for a singular lion, but she watches as several others chase the escaping animal. Hm. She wouldn't mind a taste of it today as she jogs onto the open sand as she gets closer before breaking into a sprint. Claws fly out to carve at its thick hide, Kyra being careful to avoid any chomping of its jaws as it swings its head occasionally at them. These lands seemed plentiful and the ranger couldn't wait to see all that it had to offer them.

the oceans would thrust, churn, twisting in its volatility. violence surged all around, the scent of ocean-water prickling the skin of his nose as a salted breeze tucks against the length of his thick, golden fur. picking up speed, raizo would race a full lap around the territory, before finally coming to pause beside a massive boulder, biding his time in regaining his breath.

taking his time further to sharpen his talons, the dark basilisk would drag his nails over the harsh, granite surface, disturbing the sand beneath his feet, as he takes the moment to sharpen his claws. every curve of a gleaming claw would drum hungrily over the wretched boulder, sharpened over and over until they glistened in their obsidian smoothness. satisfied with their sharpness, raizo would then move away, just enough to see a familiar view from up ahead, the same image of a plum-hued male initiating yet aonther hunt.

as easy as breath, the golden beast would join them in their hunt, his massive paws devouring the earth below, the flex of his talons stretched outward as he aims to chase the prey into the ground and deliver a vicious bite. it is not hunger that drives the basilisk forward, but the need to feel the blood coat his mouth - the brutal sport of hunting, a delicious and beautiful allure as any, compelling him time and time again, like a siren's song.
