December 13, 2024 After winning the challenge for Wolfbron Bluffs and becoming the fourth Dieudonné to hold the crown, Lazare releases all the members and ends the longest standing pride's reign over the island. After seven years of the Bluffs being held by the same family, it now sits empty, waiting for the next chapter of it's leadership.

December 6, 2024 Death came to a witch hunter after she called for the death of Karsa, with Kvare answering it causing Miaran to fall. Lazare Dieudonné challenges Louve Dieudonné for Wolfbron Bluffs. Snow seems to be falling in the middle of the summer as strange animals show up and offer a tempting meal for those brave enough to jump in.

November 8, 2024 Scorpius has gone missing and in his place Zaahir steps up to take the throne of Andal Oasis. How this change of leadership will shake things up in the lands, only time will tell.

October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

This was the entirely wrong sort of territory for him to be in. There were far too many trees, far too little sunlight, and so many roots and vines ready to trip up anyone who dared take a step across the jungle floor. Edgar moved with great care as he walked along, picking each step carefully. The last thing he wanted to do was twist an ankle and put himself out of commission.

He hadn’t anyone else to lean on.

But that care was tested the second he caught wind of a scent that drew his pale nose to that netted, vine-twisted floor. Something had passed this way, rather recently, and after searching closely for a moment he spotted the faint indent of a footprint. Yes. The creature was still close by.

Setting his gaze forward, seeking any sign of prey ahead, he slunk forward into a predatory crawl in search of the next footprint, and the next. He might not have the same advantage here as he would have had in the Badlands, but he was a hunter; he wasn’t going to let a few tripping hazards stop him from claiming a meal.

With the weather having finally, FINALLY, started to cool down...if only a bit. Mirai put a measure of time aside to venture away from the bluffs and begin exploring various parts of the greater lands once more.

After all there were many other types of prey to learn about, to track, to hunt and to eat, than could be found in her aired and rocky home terrain. This place was a bit claustrophobic. And humid.

However it also had SO MUCH COLOR all over, much of that color being green - that the lioness found the exploration worth some slight inconveniences. Curiously she moved slowly and carefully through the trees, examining a strange set of tracks - hoofed. Herbivore clearly.

But what kind? Tracks looked different in this soft soil than in the dust back home. Mirai gave it a curious smell, taking a long moment to try and discern the animal scent from the green loamy ground. Mmmm...some kind of large antelope?

Following the tracks to the best of her ability the lioness would soon come across ... lion tracks and scent trail. Oh? Was someone else hunting the creature. Now she followed both trails.

Dropping into a careful, slow creep she sought to draw up parallel to the unknown lion ( @Edgar ) - in a flanking position however, attempting to place herself into position to launch. But not yet. Nope. First she attempted to send the lion (was he young? He had only half a mane! Good thing she could help!) a glance and a tilt of the head. A silent question. 'Wanna kill it together?'

The jungle is...familiar. Perhaps it is some sort of nostalgia that draws the Savante here time and time again, more so than the promise of exotic herbs still blossoming even as the warmth of summer waned. He contemplates the similarities between this place and the land he had once known while he sharpens his claws against the rough bark of an ancient tree.

He is disturbed only by a flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye, prompting his broad skull to turn just in time to catch a glimpse of the two felines stalking through the dense foliage.

He's been stumbling across quite a few hunts lately, hasn't he?

He doesn't immediately follow, idly studying the fine tips of his talons as he ponders on whether or not he should bother expending the effort when he is so far from home.

Well...a warrior really shouldn't turn down the opportunity for a bit of extra exercises.

The dappled beast would set off after the other hunters at a steady lope, muscles working smoothly beneath his thick coat as he navigated down the tight, twisting trails with no small amount of difficulty, forced to leap over various obstacles lest the noise of him crashing through the branches startle their prey off too early.

Boy, was the air here humid. Jet felt like he was swimming in it, rolling his shoulders as he strolled along over twisting vines and through dense underbrush. Another heavy breath rushed out of his lungs in a sigh as he paused and surveyed how far he had gone, an effort being made to explore places new to him. He wasn’t sure he liked this one.

It was hard to say how it compared to the snowy region, however.

He didn’t get a chance to make up his mind, either, when he spotted movement and, drawing nearer, realized he’d happened upon yet another hunting party. One side of his muzzle curled into a little smile. Might as well take the opportunity while it was before him.

Turning, he quickly set the claws of his forepaws against the base of the nearest tree and scraped, his movements hasty and impatient. He didn’t bother checking to see if he’d cleaned up his claws well or not (they were going to be bloody in a minute anyway, gods permitting) and slinked quickly after the hunting party. He watched the lions around him as much as he did the oryx, following their examples, shifting into a better position from which to stalk, to close in, and (hopefully) bring the beast down.

A figure of white emerges to join the group. She looks around to the others and their movements, their styles. With grace and skill then Jyoti finds her place in the moment, her spot in the dance as it were. There's a pause where she is quick to capitalize with an attack of her own on the creature. Fierce yellow teeth snap and grab for flesh. To taste blood which splatters and speckled her in bright red. There's a silence in the moment that Jyoti feels heavy in her chest. Everything comes more naturally and her body is moving without thinking. In the name of food.

In what felt like a matter of moments, Edgar sensed the presence of another figure within the dense forest. His brown eyes shifted, searched, and spotted the lioness who met his eye, clearly indicating her willingness to assist. Well, he wasn’t one to turn down an easier time of things. He nodded back at @Mirai stiffly and quickly; he’d work with her.

But there were more, he realized, the further along he followed the footprints, and the clearer the scent became. By the time he sighted the oryx, he had amassed a relatively sizable hunting party. Ed smirked silently. He loved it when things came together on their own.

Following the example of the little pale lioness to charge forward first, Edgar gave a silent snarl and leaped to follow with a snapping of hungry jaws.

The colossal beast catches up to the hunting party at the right time, just as the signal to charge silently ripples across the gathered felines. Mircea lengthens his stride, forcing his way through the thick underbrush with less caution now that the oryx was undoubtedly aware of the danger it was now in.

His chest heaved with the exertion he was asking his body to endure, his pulse pounding in his ears as he found himself slowly gaining on the antelope through the twisting jungle trails.

With a low snarl, the ghoul would lunge out from the tangled shrubbery, gaping jaws reaching out to clamp around a long, hooved limb.

The hunt comes to a crashing conclusion and Jyoti slows her run down to a jog and then a lumbering stop near the fallen beast. She eyes the food hungrily but then averts to gaze at the other lions around and give them a look before doing anything more. Were any of them angling to try and take the whole thing? Were any looking particularly keen to start trouble or was the prey going to be divided up evenly amongst those who helped to take it down? Whatever the case she wasn't going to get into the thick of it until she had a feel what she was facing in order to get her meal.

The lion leading seemed to know what he was about, slinking along, giving silent signals to those who caught his eye. Jet watched him closely, picking up on his postures, his movements, his directions. It was all going to do him good in the next hunt he ended up happening upon and joining.

In no time, the hunt began in earnest, the lions moving in to corner their prey. Jet followed to one side, snarling with a snap to keep the oryx on the right path and was rewarded with a front row seat to another lion’s attack to bring it down.

Surprised and emboldened, the youth leaped in to assist, using his large, lanky frame to drag the creature to a stand still while the others made quick work of finishing things. With a wide smile, he released the downed creature and stepped back, his tongue swiping at his bloodied muzzle. Realizing his claws were indeed bloodied as well—as he’d hoped initially—Jet paused to proudly clean them up while the others gathered what they wanted of their prize.

Edgar breathed heavily as he stepped away from the downed oryx, feeling relieved. Though he was still no expert to hunting in the jungle, he felt considerably more prepared and knowledgeable now. And that was in no small measure because of the company who had helped to make it happen.

His brown eyes alighted on each figure who assisted in the hunt, offering each a quick nod in thanks, in approval, whatever they might need for their efforts. Licking at his lips, the half-maned hunter stepped forward and claimed his piece of the kill, a small portion to give everyone plenty to pick over, and left the others to, presumably, argue over the tastier bits that remained.
