What was the purpose of life in a world ruled by violence? It was a question she'd pondered for a while now. They came into the world, bathed in blood and so many left the world in a similar way. Was that all there was? The beginning of life and end bound in a circle of bloodshed? At least it had always been such in the places she'd seen. Men rose to power through bloodshed until they saw themselves as gods. But it wasn't like that everywhere. That much she knew. There were places out there, where not only men ruled and women were not forced into a subservient role. An ideal home, wasn't it? But she wasn't so foolish to think it would all be simply perfect with no troubles. No, she knew that the land she sought had its own share of violent periods.

She'd spent many nights awake, looking at the stars while pondering the visions and dreams she'd had. They'd become more frequent after leaving home. A constant pull towards a land she'd never seen but felt so connected to. It made no sense, yet at the same time it made perfect sense. She'd crossed this new land's threshold in the middle of the night, a silent flicker of star flecked coat against pale sands. But she didn't linger where the scents of many lions mingled. No, she'd moved deeper into the land until she rested during the day, among the vibrant verdant tones of a lush field. There she'd dreamed of a snow-capped peak, snow beginning to cover lush verdant slopes and rocky mountain paths. Of a ridge covered in a soft layer of snow. And she awoke refreshed, with a renewed drive to continue on her path. These lands, she knew, where the ones she'd seen in her visions. But she still questioned why this feeling had driven her to come here. Perhaps the new place she'd seen was where she'd find more answers. Or would it only bring more questions?

It was late when she'd found the mountain, the cold darkness of the night blanketing the world with diamond flecked velvet. Cool air grew colder as she ascended the mountain path, weaving around rocks and stepping over cracks until she'd found where the path diverged. Briefly, vibrant emerald eyes lingered on the peak, taking it in for a moment before she turned, gracefully making her way along the other path. A soft breath slipped past darkened lips, creating a little puff of fog in the crisp air in front of her. This was it, she'd found it. Slowly, she approached the edge, looking over the land. There was so much still out there, so much she'd yet to see of this land. But for the moment, this was it. And so she stood in silence, tail lashing behind her as she turned her gaze to the star-filled sky, wondering why her dreams had been leading her to this place.

The yearling moved through the snow, daylight had long since faded into a dark star-dotted canvas of obsidian and deep purples. Not that she minded, it was freeing to climb rocky mountain paths away from the turmoil that had become her home. Tonight she'd decided to not cover her scent fully. The fresh hints of salty ocean and sand clung to her fur, yet there was a lack of her family's scents. To the world, she should smell like just a yearling from the cove nothing more. Tonight she was not a former princess, not a daughter of greatness or power. Tonight she was just herself, shrouded in a name she'd chosen should she need it.

When tracks shon in the snow under bright moonlight. Neeha carefully took in the scents clinging to the imprints but found it to be unknown. Curious she'd follow the tracks, and when they disappeared with the snow she'd follow her nose.

When the path diverged the yearling followed the one turning away from the peaks and found herself at a large ridge overlooking the lands around her. Neeha had never been here before, and for a moment was captivated by the beauty of what was before her. However, in her vision the darkness moved, abyss fur blocking out the night sky leaving a void sitting there by the edge. The yearling gave a light careful chuff, mostly because she didn't want the other accidentally startling and moving forward out into the nothingness. "What an amazing place" she purrs as she steps closer to the woman sitting hopefully at a distance that wouldn't invade the other's personal space.

The stars were silent as ever. A moment of reprieve granted in the chaos of the world. But would they ever be more than silent observers? Was there any shred of guidance to be gained from questioning the constellations? Or would they never grant the answers sought?

Perhaps she wasn't the only one who sought this place to ponder the questions life gave. The soft call first reached her ears through a fog, mind still clouded from fading vision. Muscles shifted under night sky coat, causing a near twinkle in her speckled marks, akin to the twinkle of the stars above, while she reclined into a comfortable sit. Verdant gaze turned to look over the girl who'd approached. Young, but not as young as others she'd seen. Not quite a girl but a young woman. Pale tail tip flicked idly, a faint smile gracing scarred visage. "It is a beautiful thing, isn't it? To be so high above the world."
