She is trailing behind Olive as they return to the Mire, as they come to aid the prisoners. The call for a challenge had rang through the land, and Ghyslaine had not known the caller- but if this was it.. if this was time. She was here to help. She hadn't expected to freeze within the brush- to stare at her sister- an ally of the Mire then, as she smelled strongly of the pride. Her heart thundered in her chest as she watched a colossal male engage her, and when she knew that Sersie was otherwise occupied and that her own vendetta would have to wait... she looked around to see who else would need aid. That was when she spied a large male, aiming to stop a young cub from escaping, and fury rose within her.

She barreled towards him and she saw him go to grab the cub by the scruff, she aimed to crash into his right shoulder- aiming to bury her fangs into his legs there- in what she hoped would be a crushing blow -- all the while aiming to flatten her ears in order to protect them, tail lashing for balance. "Pick on someone your own size!" She'd snarl, hoping that this distraction would give the cub a chance to escape.

The dark imp had pledged her claws to the Summit, and as @Morrigan marched on the Mire, Léonie followed. A spotted ear twitched over the words the matriarch roared out, and while she only understood the ‘Luther’ piece of it, she recognized the message immediately. Her paws carried her to the border, and there she stood with a smirk on her muzzle while she looked through the soldiers that had joined Morrigan on her mission, eager to witness Luther and his merry band of assholes foolishly throw themselves into their hungry teeth.

Morrigan’s voice had reached those who Léonie assumed were prisoners. She watched as several came hurrying out, and close behind them were those who would seek to keep them trapped inside the Mire. They were quickly engaged by Morrigan’s vanguard, leaving her to call for the remaining captives, “This way!”

Laurel had bolted for the borders, hoping that this might be a clean break. But things were never that easy. The young girl is wrenched back by her scruff and immediately she starts spitting and hissing, whirling to try and dig her sharp claws in the side of her attacker's face. What she hadn't anticipated was them being barreled into by a cream colored flash of movement. Laurel hisses again but her breath is nearly knocked out of her lungs as she crashes to the Mire floor. She tumbles to the right, a rolling bundle of fur. Her neck is stinging something fierce, which leaves her wondering how bad the wound on her scruff was. However the feral girl fights to get her legs under her so she can attempt to bolt forwards again.

So many arrived after she did. So many unfamiliar faces but the chaos erupted around her and she drank it all in like a thirsty hound. Aphrodite was not part of any pride. She had no allegiances, no allies to aide or known enemies to fight so she stood on the sidelines watching with baited breath. If she had known that the very family that was trying to save those that were escaping were apart of the family her own mother and grandmother had been apart of them perhaps she would've already picked out her enemies, but she didn't so she lingered behind as fights began and she was left with nothing but a void of emptiness.

But what Aphrodite did pick up was this was a rescue mission. There were children here, running to try and get out of this place - whatever it was - and she was curious to know why. Ears twisting in her dual colored mane as she watched with anticipation on what was going to happen. She wanted to know other things to but why would she distract those currently fighting. She rather enjoyed watching them fight.

Standing and watching from the sidelines just wanting to jump in and defend one of these little ones trying to escape the orange faced lady felt her blood rushing through her ears. Standing with knees bent to rush in at any moment she felt the adrenaline coming rushing through her until her impulsive nature just took over.

Seeing Aphrodite just standing there on the sidelines she couldn’t stop herself. Moving towards the girl trying to stand face to face she hissed. "Are you just going to stand there gaulking?" She spoke harshly unsure if the lioness was friend or foe? Sure she had been just watching herself but that was beside the point as she attempted to lift her right paw and tried to smack the lioness’s face with her claws in.

Aphrodite was not content with just standing on the sidelines but once again, Aphrodite was not affiliated with anyone so when it came to pick out a side to fight with or against, she kept herself back. To the sidelines and Aphrodite would have to force herself to just be content. Thankfully, someone seemed to be dumb not content with her standing on the side and her purple jewels locked onto @Arjana with a ferocity that should've scared anyone but this one. Oh this one was welcoming the chaos.

A cruel smile forced itself onto her face as she turned to face Arjana, lips curling upwards to reveal razor teeth sharpened to the very edge. Purple jewels caught her paws movement and without a word, Aphrodite lunged herself forwards as she would attempt to snap her jaws around Arjana's uplifted wrist. She wasn't going to bother going for anything else but Aphrodite knew damn well that even with her coming to get this paw, she would get cuts and it was a risk worth taking.

Lamia shouldn't be here but she couldn't help herself. This was way too calling for her to ignore. She also wanted to get a grasp of Amaryllis dynamics to better get used to it. If she wanted to make this place home she found it important to learn as much about it as she could to save her unwanted surprises.

Quietly she snuck into the lands and doing her best to leave confusing tracks and washing her scent. Hidding withing heavy vegetation she watched the drama unfold between prides. Of course she didn't have knowledge about the background of this event but perhaps she could find out. And thus she hides.

This was probably the wrong place to pick a fight with the rogue, but anyone who really knew the orange faced lady could probably figure out she was just being dumb again. Wasn’t the first time probably not going to be the last time either. The girl was covered in scars for a reason. Snarling as she looked at the half maned girl with narrowed eyes as she found fangs around her wrist and felt the hot liquid of blood dripping down her arm from where fangs cut her skin she tried to lunge forward and attempted to lift her free front paw. Attempting to wildly smack the girl across the nose to try and o get her to release her wrist. As she did she would shift her weight to her back end in an attempt to sit down. Having no tail to help keep her balance she had to try to get creative.

Her jaws wrapped around @Arjana's wrist and the blood that trickled onto her tongue and she swallowed. Drinking it and enjoying it every bit. Perhaps she enjoyed it way to much cause next thing she knew that there was claws going down the bridge of her nose and it caused her to let her jaws open up with a snarl from her throat. Purple jewels locked and narrowed on Arjana and she took notice of how her opponent was. Noticed that there was no tail and Aphrodite grinned right then and there as she would try to shove herself forwards with her powerful back legs and aim to thrust her entire chest/body into Arjana and knock her backwards while also attempting to bite down on the side of her neck, just above where it connects to the shoulder.

Emory jolted awake and, realizing what had woken him, cursed colorfully under his breath. Invaders. Of course. Not trying to take the Mire from his father’s claws—wouldn’t that have been too merciful for them all—but just the prisoners. Again.

Why did they still have the prisoners when all they meant was trouble for everyone?

And why did these thieves have to come during the daytime?

Pale features curled back in a scowl, the Rike prince clambered to his large paws and lumbered with an irritable growl from where he’d been sleeping toward the border where he assumed the excitement would be, bleary eyes squinted. Halfway there, he woke up enough to do so properly—at last dipping into the darker, shadowier bits of the dense foliage afforded by their trees and brambles, camouflaging himself as best he could as he came within range of the mess that seemed to always find its way to their doorstep.

And boy was it a mess already. Em paused, still concealed, to take it in, watching with disdain the overwhelming number of outsiders all but lined up, ready to escort escapees to safety and defend against the current Ecrosian wardens. Duty meant he ought to jump right into the fray and drag someone back behind the borderline, kicking and screaming if he must, but truthfully Emory didn’t want to. This was his father’s business, his father’s trouble, and he didn't want it to be his problem simply because they were related.

The fact Eris didn’t seem to be among those fighting this time only made him that much more less inclined to interfere.

Until he spotted Odette. She hadn’t reacted during the last prison break—he easily assumed the loss of the crushed lioness had made her forget what had brought them all to the border in the first place—but there were no unfortunate accidents this time to distract his young aunt and stop her from running.

Well. Except for Grimm.

Emory wasn’t even fully aware of what he was doing until he had lurched forward, out into the open, and charged to interpose himself between the overly ambitious youth and Odette. He growled, bristled, and showed the vaguest hint of teeth as he slipped into their shared tongue, “Einen anderern finden,” and warned the monochrome lion off of his intended target. Find another. His tail lashed, and Em hoped his agitation might be taken as aggression or, better yet, ambition. He shot a stern warning glance at Odette before turning back to Grimm. “This one is mine.” She was his. His family. His friend.

No one was going to hurt her.

Not if he could help it.
