she inhaled -- one, long, steady breath of air, which swelled within her lungs in typical anticipatory fashion. nymeria hated the formalities of things such as this, but, at the same time, knew that it was a necessary part of keeping everyone on the same page, and ensuring the prosperity and connectivity of her kin. things continued to change like the tides -- a steady ebb and flow, a rise and fall between chaotic shifts and peaceful lulls -- and it was eagerly that she wished to discuss things further with them, and perhaps shuffle the ranks somewhat in the process. and so here she was, settled within the center of the open field, gazing absently up towards the late afternoon sun with fluttering lashes and a calm, untinged expression. on the edges of the circle were a variety of meats brought out from the cache, on the off-chance that some might be interested in indulging in a bite or two after the meeting had concluded. if nothing else, she supposed that it may occupy the children, should they grow bored of the adult chit-chat and more serious tone that congregations such as this often prompted.

after a moment or two longer, nymeria would slowly crane her muzzle back further, lips parting as she sent out a few soft, summoning chuffs for the company and council of her pride. though she would not mind if they were preoccupied with other happenings, the valour woman hoped that any close enough to hear her call would join her in the quick rendezvous. slowly lowering her crown back towards the earth, nymeria's haunches would fall in one quick, fluid motion, bringing the queen into a seated position as she dutifully awaited the arrival of others.

The new heiress was still reeling on the idea that she was something even more now. Waking up every day a little groggy before remembering that Nymeria had chosen her to help lead them into this newly changed world of theirs. With Maua's blessing, she intended to do well for her sisters, brother and for the kin that she'd been raised with. Each one of them she hoped would support her in this endeavor - just as she hoped they'd support her when they found out that she proposed to a non-Native and intended to spend her whole life with her. So Talisa was relatively prepared for the meeting and was happy to join, though it took a very brief moment to realize that she should probably sit near her sister. Or, nearer; so she smiled giddily at her wheat sister and took her seat beside her, attempting to rub her cheek on the side of Nymeria's neck. Supportive but also thankful, nervous and anxious as to how her position would be received.

Tullia has been doing her duties diligently, as the lead medic, there was always a lot to do, a lot to tend to. But for the hardworking lioness, the word too much didn't exist, it was never too much when it came to serving her family, in making sure everyone was healthy and happy. Smiling, the Valour was tending to the herb stores, organizing them so finding the right one when it was needed, wouldn't be hard. But as she kept going, a call from her sister reached her ears. She left her duties for then moving to the place of the gathering, seeing both sisters. @Talisa being by Nym's side, and calmly she gave both a nod before taking a seat before them. Seeing Talisa there was impressing and she wondered why. But she didn't mention it. @Nymeria

He could not deny his slack in effort due to his slight cold that he had acquired due to the change in season that brought on different weather. After his body had adjusted and his health had returned, he had vouched to himself to pick back up where he had left off. Though he knew in some situations, that would not be the case for his ability.

Regardless the brute shuffled across the Vermeda and aimed a course for where the meeting was called. His eyes shifted from the few faces that had already arrived. He paused a short distance away before Nymeria to give her a chivalrous bow of his upper half before he would take his seat to wait.

He’d been keeping a low profile as of late, taking to patrolling the Brook’s borders on a daily basis as well as keeping tabs on what Asterin was up to. The life of a pride lion seemed to be a rather boring one for Valhalla; he was thankful that he had a secure place to rest his head but he did miss the thrill of belonging only to himself as a rogue than having to make sure he kept up on pride things - like meetings, such as the one his ears caught the calling to. The Viking would redirect his destination whilst still patrolling, now heading in the direction the summons had come from. It wouldn’t take him long to arrive, yellow gaze looking over towards the three women and male that were so far gathered.

“Greetings, ladies, Tyrion,” a deep toned voice would greet them in a casual manner, maw dipping as well in greeting. Tail would flicker behind him and the lion would take a moment to decide whether or not he would settle into sitting or stick with standing. With a roll of his shoulders and a quick shake of his mane would Valhalla decide on the latter, standing directly across from Nymeria but several feet away, as if he were watching over the soon growing group and making sure nothing would happen.

Like a shadow, she crept into the meeting, not announcing herself for she saw no need to. She knew how these things worked, though she hadn't participated in one herself. The family gatherings were vastly different from pride meetings, even when all the voodoo clans came together. Those were times of joy, feasting, and dance, which was vastly different from the orderly meetings of the prides. Oh, how she missed such things...

One ear flicked towards Valhalla as he spoke, her lack of strict attention not a dismissal as much as she was distracted by another. Ah, there was Tyrion! She hadn't had a chance to run into him yet, and so she quite literally did so, or at least tried to as she came up next to him, aiming to bump their shoulders together before she would sit beside him.

Nymeria's call would not go answered. The elf owed much to her dearest friend, especially after taking her in on such short notice prior. The least she could do was show up for meetings and to help with hunting to keep up with her fair share of civil duties. Aelynthi knew little of pride law, especially when it came to formalities such as ranks, but she would show whatever support she could understand. Her pace slowed as the colossal woman paused to look about at those gathered, recognizing a few faces she had seen previously (but still did not know the names of, outside of Heloise) and dipping her head to them individually in greeting. The charcoal woman dipped her head deeply in respect for Nymeria, offering a worn smile before she settled in by herself away from those gathered to give herself space.

ophelia valour

Ophelia had been somewhat absent from the life of the Brook, her family and the trials and tribulations that the newcomers brought to Maua’s land. Instead she had found herself taking some time to search for herself — she’d found Nymeria’s position as their High Queen, and her other sisters indulging into life as a member of the Brook, Ophelia had found herself rather secluded. But that was fine — her own company was fine.

The call from her sister did not go unnoticed. The ivory lioness rose from her midday slumber and released a yawn before moving through the territory to the opening in which her sister had called the pride together. She noticed a few familiar faces, others not so, but rather than socialising, Ophelia took a seat at the back of the crowd and simply observed for the time being.

Demetria had been busying herself in the food caches when her sister had called the pride together. It seemed as if this would have to wait until after the meeting. Rising to her paws with a gentle unf, the Lead Huntress would make her way toward the source of the summons, pale yellow gaze scanning each of the group in turn as they came within view. Eventually, her attention landed on @Ophelia, who seemed to have isolated herself on the outskirts of the gathering. Well, that certainly wouldn't do. She hadn't seen her pale sibling in a while, so that quietly concerned her. It was tempting to pry, but ultimately she knew it better not to, especially not here. Either way, her sister would know that Demetria was here for her, whether she liked it or not. Moving to sit alongside her, she would lean her shoulder toward the other in an attempted friendly bump, attention flitting to her face briefly before inevitably focusing back on @Nymeria. She knew of the well-deserved promotion of @Talisa, but what else would be on today's agenda?

They were all here, and yet again another call to the pride lands by @Nymeria. How peculiar as it felt like only yesterday that the other pride meeting was held. Well, it had been months since then but her mind mashed all the days together like one day. She moves her way to the outskirts, eyes watching those who had joined as she sits down softly. Hmm.
