By this point Nadia had turned her body, shifting so her dark eyes could focus on Magnus fully. She was truly interested to hear anything he had to offer about his family and their beliefs. After all this was the first time that they were both really sharing these types of intimate details with one another and she found that it actually made her happy to do so. Any type of insight on who Magnus really was was something that Nadia would gladly welcome. Her ears flicked as she listened, glad that he was on the same page about mentorship for the cubs at least. "We've always considered our young to be 'of age' at a year old." She said simply, waiting for any type of other questions that may come from him. But in the meantime he would supply information from his end, to which she eagerly tuned in. "We have one ceremony in particular that is very important to our family. We honour our God, Vellen, with an offering. The ultimate show of loyalty. Shortly after the birth of our young we take them out into the sea. It is called The Drowning. It welcomes them to our fold. A baptism, of sorts."

For a moment Nadia remained silent, her gaze never wavering from Magnus. The idea of this baptism did put a brief knot in her stomach, but she was sure that he would never do something to intentionally harm their children. She was a very good judge of character, she didn't peg Magnus as being some lunatic that enjoyed drowning cubs. "It happens again at a year. Some... do not survive their second Drowning. If Vellen is angry with them, he will take them. But the strong, and the loyal, do. It is our way of ensuring that Vellen is happy, so that our family is blessed with success, prosperity and fertility in the coming years. To not offer a child to the Drowning is unthinkable; they, and their immediate kin, would be cursed." Now that was intimidating, even for her. She swallowed the lump that rose in her throat, glancing away for a brief moment as she collected her thoughts. Finally she locked gazes once more before speaking, "And Brigid? Her eyesight? Was that .. because of this ceremony?" She wondered then, briefly her mind drifting to the dark mocha lioness that was very opinionated but from what Nadia could recall Brigid seemed to be the only sigrun with an 'ailment' of sorts. "I trust you and if this is something we must do in order to honor your beliefs and your God then we will do it. I have no doubts that our children will be able to survive their second .. baptism." She chose the word 'baptism' so the whole thing wouldn't seem so scary, in reality she did believe that her children would pass with flying colors, she would bet any amount of pride or money on it.

After Nadia's confirmation, Magnus would nod decisively. Good - we will combine the ceremonies, then, for our children. The Drowning, then the piercing. The lioness was silent for a while after the explanation, quite evidently unpacking what she had just been told. She must be feeling exactly how all the Sigrun mothers before her did; ironclad though they may be, they were still bonded to their offspring in a way that nothing else could rival. There was probably no other love like it. Magnus had only known about the existence of these little bundles for about five minutes, and he already knew that he would kill for them. That he would die for them. Upon being questioned of Brigid, Magnus nodded. He would not lie to Nadia, nor hide anything from her. He had too much respect for her; she would have to go into this with open eyes. Brigid is blind because Vellen deemed it to be so. It is for the same reason that my brother has no voice, and my sister has a deformed tail. He is grateful for her acceptance, and would lean into her. It seemed the perfect time to make his proposal. Literally. Your loyalty has been unwavering, Nadia. You do not have to accept now, but I wish for you to be my Sovereign. He paused, expression growing softer then. And my wife.

She was pleasantly surprised at how easy discussing these matters had been, after all she could distinctly recall couples arguing frequently in her youth over what would be done with their children. "That was pleasantly easy .. a lot easier than I had anticipated." She mused to him then, a grin of confidence flashed towards Magnus for a second before she fell back into a comfortable silence, her ears craned forwards to listen to whatever else he may have to offer to her. "Brigid is blind because Vellen deemed it to be so. It is for the same reason that my brother has no voice, and my sister has a deformed tail." Nadia remained eerily quiet as she processed the information; there was a very real chance that their children could suffer some type of ailment after their 'baptisms' and though it worried her to the core she was hopeful that her children, their children, would be strong enough to overcome it. To come out on the other side unmarred would be the ideal outcome. "Your loyalty has been unwavering, Nadia. You do not have to accept now, but I wish for you to be my Sovereign. And my wife." Her breath nearly hitched in her throat, well she hadn't been expecting that by any means. She couldn't help the purr that rumbled in her throat as she shifted, this time moving closer to him so she could press herself to his chest. She inhaled and exhaled slowly, taking the moment in before she responded. "I'd love nothing more than to take on both of those roles.." She confirmed then, a smile tugging the corners of her lips as she reached up to nibble along his jawline. "I think .. a celebration is in order, hmm?" Her dark gaze suggested as she nibbled along his neck then, hoping to convince him further.

The High Sovereign would rumble in agreement along with @Nadia. He too had expected such negotiations with any mothers of his children to be difficult, but the melanistic wraith had accepted them with relative ease. It bode well for the future, certainly. And when she accepted the coronation and the proposal, he would smile, easily accepting the contact with a content growl. Good. Congratulations, Sovereign Nadia Sigrun. With a kiss to the nape of her neck, he would greedily lap up what came next. Afterward he would discuss the polygamy, and the integration into the family. A little serious for pillow talk, but it was best broached now before anyone got too comfortable in their new arrangement.

For now? Well, he had more important things to do.
