Quiet was the day as a soft rain poured over the clay and rocks of the Bluffs, setting a cool temperature which was very suiting for the small lioness who has been working hard to earn her keep. Doing her best to keep the pride well fed and never lacking of food. She could fight too but that wasn't her strong point. She wants competent enough to be a menace, but she would fight for her pride still. But in a regular basis she helped with the skills she did have. Such as hunting. And thus she wanted to prove she was valuable too, that Io was also a Bluff's woman, strong and skilled. She walked around as a soft breeze hit her face while the soft rain soaked her dark coat. She then detected an scent, subtle because of the rain. She followed it softly and in completely silence. 3 years | Pride tier 1 +1 hit roll to pride hunts, +1 dice from lead hunter| Ranger level 2 +1 dice Prey Information: Rolling largeprideprey 1d25: 11

July Y13
Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

He stumbled upon the prey's scent on complete accident. The dark lead huntress' scent followed after it, slipping into his lungs and telling him that it was time to gathered everyone. He chuffed softly into the air, beckoning his pride members to follow his voice. The rain's soft pitter-patter was the only sound that followed after his call, swallowing the sound of his steps against the moist red dirt beneath. He joined the dark woman, soon discovering that the prey was a zebra. He could likely weaken it until the others were here, and so Apollinaire signaled to Io of his intentions before slithering close to the ground and lunging for the hooved prey.

She had been scouting along the Bluffs' border when she had heard Apollinaire's chuffing. A faint scent of Zebra hit her on the breeze earlier, though she did not feel like leading a hunt herself this time around. However, if she did not have to lead it, she'd join one already being led. So, quickly, she slipped down the rocky edges of the bluffs to meet the other two hunters. Quietly, she fell in line with them, trailing their prey in its wake.

The pines, they often whisper
They whisper what no tongue can tell
On light paws, the girl had been trotting along the borders. No elegant or even speedy parkour and tricks. Marks from the rank challenge fight still marred her body more than they would have for others. Another with her condition might not have done anything really, but she didn't let it stop her. Floppy ears perked when she heard the call and she picked up the pace. Soon the scents of not only familiar lions, but also their delicious target reached her nostrils, a subtle twitch of her nose the only response at first.
When she arrived she briefly bowed her head to Apollinaire before giving both lionesses a nod in greeting. Not much else was said or done besides falling in line, graceful and silent despite her size.

When scent and sight came together and revealed their prey, Valaine did not wait for a signal from their lead huntress before stalking after it, and eventually charging behind it. She was able to jump up onto its black and claw its hide deeply before the zebra bucked her off, but that left it open to someone else's attempts at bringing it down. "Now! Vhile it is veak and scared!" she yelled, catching back up to the zebra to steer it toward a favorable direction, back into the pack of lions that chased it.

Apollinaire moved with a predator's grace, his movements fluid and calculated as he closed in on the unsuspecting zebra. With each step, he felt the tension coiling within him, the thrill of the hunt igniting a primal fire in his veins. It may not be the type of prey he enjoyed taking down, but it was a hunt regardless. The thrill persisted.
As he drew closer to the prey, the undead King could practically taste the creature's blood on his tongue. More women filtered in until @Valaine took the first step. He followed. In one swift motion, he sprang forward, his claws slicing through the air as he aimed for the zebra's shoulder.
The prey startled at the sudden attack, its hooves kicking up dust clouds as it attempted to evade the hunters' grasp. The creature began to slow down, and with a mad grin he sought to wrap his teeth around its throat and land a finishing blow.

Valaine was quite surprised to see @Apollinaire jump in for the kill, but then again... maybe not. Killing was the easy part, and from what she'd seen from the male, fighting and killing were things he found joy in. The hardest parts of the hunt were over, now it was time to end it.
And end it did - with the zebra's bloody neck between the Bluffs Sovereign's jaws. Valaine slowed to a trot once she noticed the zebra's body go limp, once she was sure it wouldn't scramble to its hooves and run off. As its blood leaked into the rocky soil beneath, she was sure it wasn't going anywhere. The hunt was over.
Apollinaire would take his share first, of course, but then she'd be next in line to take hers before she would carry her share off, up the mountain. /exit
