Another Oryx had come stumbling into the Hollows. Alexander couldn't complain. It was good meat, and it was filling. He knew, even if there was only one, that the pride would be satisfied and the cache would be filled for a short time. And that was plenty enough. Shuffling a bit to move closer to the prey, he would wait for the others to begin pursuit before moving in to help. It didn't take much. At this point they all worked as well as a finely oiled machine. Pleased with everyone's performance, he lets out a rumbling growl of approval before silently watching the others as they ate, content to do this and scout the area until everyone was done.

An Oryx wandered into their pride lands, a sign of incoming nourishment for their forever growing numbers. Her eyes of cyan evaluated the prey wondering how did one walk so carelessly into a place full of lions. But well, food was food and even if she would had wanted something bigger she helped bring it down. She took a deep breath after the hunt was over, it went fast. It wasnt surprising with how many lions came to help. No Oryx was safe from such number of hungry jaws.She looked at her pride mates. "We did it!" She said to them as she took some meat for herself. Slowly walking away to rest and enjoy her meal.

She gives a nod to the first one (@Aelynthi) as she speaks about what Artemisia could only assume was some sort of God or Deity. It would be met by another (@Valerian), with them praying to another one. There seemed to be so many different religions floating around Amaryllis that the huntress found it interesting. Crimson eyes watch as several other filter in, keeping herself low to the ground while she observed. The strong scent of oryx then hits her nostrils and her eyes snap toward where it was coming from, landing upon the two poor creatures. Her tongue swipes across her lips and after a couple of moments they all move into action. She helps take down one of them by throwing herself at it, hanging onto its back until it is brought down and no longer breathing. Letting go, she gives a satisfying growl before gripping one by the hind leg to begin dragging it to the cache.

More emerge from the caves to gather on their hunt, and Valerian greets them in turn, nodding his head at his kin and father. The Savante man scents the air impatiently, and is keen to engage once somebody else finds a good trail. He is hungry, and the cold months were upon them. Warm meat to fill their bellies would do them all well.

It is an Oryx that had found itself on ill-fated wandering this day, and the lions of the Hollow take it down without issue. The beast is cornered, taken down and soon it’s blood stains the stone. Valerian straightens at Alexander’s approving growl, and falls upon the feast with hungry jaws to secure some for himself.

It is without a doubt in her mind they would be successful, especially considering her own blessing. Maua, or the Mother, whoever indulged her, allowed them to bring down the Oryx. It is not something she finds enjoyment in, the hunt, but as it was necessary, there was no avoiding it. She hums a tune of appreciation, softly in prayer to herself as she hovers over the corpse of the prey. " Thank you Mother for your blessing for our hunger and prosperity. " She pauses, lowering her voice to just above a breathless whisper. " Alwa a autë pícë ménë. " It is aimed entirely towards Maua, her prayer spoken so softly to herself. When she finishes, she exhales a hefty breath before allowing herself a small piece of meat for herself. Aelynthi offers a nod to everyone before leaving, attention focused on getting back to her den. Now that she had cleared the old herb stores, it left plenty of room for filling them up again with fresh stock -- especially going into the winter.

An oryx is a decent enough catch for their efforts. A familiar prize made all that much more rewarding by the fact that there are two of them. They don't last long against the onslaught of his kin and pride, certainly not by the time Mircea manages to catch a thin leg between his jaws with a sickening 'snap!' The limb doesn't bleed much, but he can taste the warmth well enough when the beast's struggles end, and the ghoul indulges in tearing out a bite from its belly.

He returns to his patrol with red-stained lips, the pink swipe of his tongue the only disruption in his otherwise impassive expression as he gazes out across the landscape, tan eyes narrowed with scrutiny. The other side of the borderline was still quiet, it seemed. Quiet enough to allow him a moment to pause and rake his lengthy claws over the rough surface of the stone he was passing by, ensuring that they remained sharp just in case.
