His lungs were thick with the contrast of steam and frigid air both, gentle flurries coming down that morning even as billows of warmth emanated from the springs below. Jethro quirked a skeptical brow as he stalked forward, almost wishing that the girls were there to see it rather than tucked away – only so they would stop complaining about being bored, of course. Not for any other reason.

The large lion folded himself into a stalking position, rolling his shoulders to prepare for the training that was to come. He could appreciate the transactional nature of these lions: using one another for strength and then not bothering with the pleasantries and faux-friendship. Perhaps he was suited for that land, after all. When the time was right, he would barrel forth to act as the muscle of the arrangement.

It was hard not to consider mystic forces while treading through that hallowed ground. Steam billowed up from the earth in warm plumes practically fighting against the frigid snow that fell, the great contrast enough that Hekate's face burned while her paws were aching and numb.

"By ancient wisdom and nature's grace, may your aim be true and your quarry embrace its fate."

She muttered her quiet prayer of blessing as she attempted to come up along her sister's side, shooting her a sideways glance before fixating on the others assembled. Perhaps it was sacrilegious to give into feral urges of the hunt in the wake of such a marvel. Hekate thought it was a perfectly fitting tribute to both life and death.

The freeze was a surprisingly great place to find herbs, especially this close to winter. Unlike other lands, the northern lands were cold year round, and the plant life that lived here was hearty and built for the cold. As she neared the others, she spotted a particularly notable type of lichen spreading out across the ground. It was like a leafless shrub, and she found it was rather easy to collect a decent amount. She bundled it up carefully, setting it away from the edge of any hot springs, tucked away between some rocks nearby where the others gathered for the hunt. Fat and squealing, the sound of the bush pig proceeded the sight of the bush pig. Both of which electrified Lune with a jolt of warmth. What a delicious, fatty meal this would be. It would almost make the bitter sting of the cold worth it. Lune dropped into a hunting position and slowly moved towards the pig. The golden girl was careful not to alert the pig to her presence, but also weary of the rocks as she delicately placed her paws one in front of the other. Her slitted eyes locked in on the pig and the rest of the world seemed to fade out until it was just her and the pig. Lune moved with her hunting party. Launching herself at the pig, aiming to latch on to its back or take a chunk out of its side at the very least.

The girl waited for her moment to feast and gorged greedily on her portion of the pig meat. She did not linger with the hunting party after she finished. Instead, she took her leave to go back to her herbs. She needed to finished putting away her collection.

The hunting party grew, but it was nothing like other bigger hunts she'd participated in. Perhaps for the better, because she did not like crowds. She sharpened her claws on a nearby warm stone, waiting for everybody to gather. It was wise to use every moment of her time so she could work on her weapons or on bettering herself overall.

With the hunt over, she feasted on what small part of the pig she could salvage. Then she returned to the peaks where she continued her exercise. This time it was difficult, after a whole cardio session, but she pushed some boulders uphill until her body gave up on her. Then she left.

Along with the warm vapors from the pools, the chase had heated Ianthe's blood, and now she was almost uncomfortably warm in the otherwise freezing tundra.
She'd stayed close to Hekate throughout the hunt, and moves just slightly to nudge her shoulder into her's. "I think we're getting better at this," she smiles.

After taking her share of the prey, Ianthe moves her attention to the hot spring behind her. There are a few birthing herbs sprouting up around the edge of one of the pools, and Ianthe gathers them into her bag with the rest as she makes her way back home.

"Aphid Zero," she beamed warmly to @Neytiri, happy to exchange names with all who offered their services. She was a particularly beautiful lioness, with plum flesh host to ripples of marbling - unique. With a nod returned to Runa and any others who approached, the hunt soon followed with well-oiled fluency.

Two bush pigs were hardly a feast, but they were enough for everyone to have their share; and Aphid invites them in with a proud smile and bloodied maw, before settling in to take her fill. She would remain until the beasts were mere skeletons, consume any edible scraps, and continue on her way.

Guide our feet swift and true. She prayers in her mind as they run, as the pace increases and the mode shifts from tracking into proper hunting. It will not be long now- and Dio prays for a swift end for whatever creature ends up in their war path.

When the kill is made she steps forwards, taking a small portion for herself as well as quietly and quickly pressing a paw to the animal's hocks. Thank you. She says aloud and, the prey's blood still soaking into her paw, she turns to head away with her prizes. A full belly on the horizon.

For a fleeting moment her gaze cast to a lioness nearby that was speaking in a quiet, hushed tone. Low enough that she had no idea what was being said and despite all her attempts at lip reading, couldn't decipher what it was being said. Hopefully something good... Daneri didn't like to think that someone was muttering under their breath. Despite her early wonderings of whether or not Ianthe was a part of the "trio-ship" when she noticed the main woman herself off to the side. They weren't together but it was clear by visual alone that they held a lot of the same attributes. Though, arguably, something was still different and she knew enough to see it was in their face.

Dan didn't have very long to stare at their faces and didn't wish to do so in an effort to keep herself under the radar. Sprinting after the two bush pigs with all the strength in her limbs and in her body, her breath pounding while she tried to get it under her control as she kept her pace swift but manageable. There was no need to over exert herself when there weren't plenty of other lions. She was just there for the added bonus of keeping herself occupied. Swiftly using the time to chase haphazardly after these grunting menaces. Exercising not only her body but also using her mind and her reflexes to gauge where they might turn. Their hunt being a success, Daneri was quick to steal a bite and depart. No point sticking around to watch the masses. exit daneri
