She hears the call but is slow to respond, mostly because large groups gave her unbridled anxiety. Capucine had gotten better with it, but it wasn't something that was going to fix itself overnight. The yearling knew that this particular meeting had to be important considering it was coming right on the heels of that hellish challenge she had witnessed. She makes her way across the snowcapped mountainside, her pelt practically blending in with the ivory underfoot. Her ruby gaze would scan the growing crowd, searching for @Maven but not having seen her just yet. Instead she decidedly moves to take a seat next to @Diomedeidae at the rear of the gathering, letting out a soft sigh. "I'm never good with these kinds of things. I never know what to say.." She says to the woman sheepishly before falling quiet, hoping that her sister would arrive soon to help buffer her awkwardness.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Inigo grumbled as he scaled one Illyrian rock at a time, his stubby legs hardly any match for the rough terrain. He furrowed his brows with determination and scrunched his mouth to one side, lashing his curtain of a tail behind him with each climbing bound.

Only, upon reaching the gathering of more lions than the cub had ever seen in his life, he realized that it had not been his parents summoning him. No, they were nowhere to be seen – only strangely marked cats with varying scarred visages and floral perfumes. Inigo was suddenly very aware of the weight of the feather fastened to his fur – not like them, some part of him hissed. Different.

There! A flash of bronze fur caught the boy's eye and he wasted no time in scrambling forth, sitting himself with a decisive plop at the lion's side. He only had yet to realize that this coat belonged to an imposter rather than his father.

Zahra heard the call when she was working on her own thing at her den. She was organizing poisonous plants. Carefully and with complete attention to her movements, using pieces if hide to manipulate them without contact on her skin. With many threats around, she wanted to be ready, to have something to fight back with. When she heard the call, she washed her paws and making sure she was clean she rushed to the meeting. Sitting down on her own spot, quietly and with respect. She eyed those around, she was late but with good reason. She was glad they had Keith their home once again. She thanked Vellen for it.

SEDONA

"Niños!" There hissed the voice of a mother who did not intend to repeat herself. She moved in a huff across the mountain territory, peering around this rock and that to try and catch sight of any of her scruffy younglings. "Tu reina está llamando. Cuando el líder convoca, se supone que no debes llegar tarde." Your queen is calling. When the leader summons, you are not to be late. She scrunched up her face as she searched, trying to will her mind not to wander to hypotheticals while time ticked on regardless.

"El último en llegar es el primero a la hora del baño." last one there is first for bathtime, she trilled a more sing-song threat upon the breeze. "Los primos tampoco están libres de culpa. Le diré a tu padre," cousins aren't off the hook either. I'll tell your father.

Such were the conversations required to wrangle seven cubs into doing the bidding of their outnumbered adults. She tried not to be obvious about the way she collapsed into the audience of the meeting, still craning her neck to try and catch sight of any stray cubs – and where was Scorpius? Sedona sighed.

The young male made his way to where they were being summoned, late - uncertain. Amandil spotted his family and made to move that direction with slow steps. Coming to sit behind @Jafar, the silver Casales waited in silence for the meeting to begin. He wondered if there would be questions about his wherabouts - but also at the same time doubted such.

The lion glanced down to the younger siblings he hardly knew before letting his gaze pass over the others gathered, wondering how many were related to them through some mating or another. Amethyst gaze spotted @Diomedeidae in the crowd and he offered the other an awkard smile.

It was not the call of @Thrain or even @Léonie but when he heard the call from his Aunt @Sedona, you bet that boy stopped what he was doing to listen. Stretching his ears on his head as far as they could go before brushing his right front paw over his head as though to fix any stray hairs before he bounded towards her voice. Following its location until he eventually followed her scent, practicing his tracking as he should be doing before finding her tiny figure. Estoy en camino! I'm on my way! he shouted, breaking the distance between them as quickly as he could before sliding to a halt beside her. Instantly throwing his head up to her with a gleam in his teethy smile. See? I'm here.

SCORPIUS

Scorpius is dragging his feet, not unlike the newest batch of Miroslav-Casales. Unable to make a good first impression on the Summit queens - having arrived dying and unconscious on a lioness’s back - he has avoided them all, throwing himself into healing and looking after his cubs and nephews. But his freeloading cannot go on forever, and he knows this. His writer simply has been putting off having a fifth character in Illyria, but now is the time.

While @Sedona scolded and ushered the cubs into the meeting, he trails behind - ready to correct anyone getting distracted - and arrives with his son grasped in his jaws. Leonidas is dumped without fanfare in the snow beside his mother, and then Scorpius sits stiffly beside his tiny wife, spine straight and shoulders pressed back.

He just wanted to look at the pretty bird before they left for the meeting, but sneaking off had been out of the question - really, Nidas had rolled a nat one, and his father had found him immediately. Scorpius had scruffed him without a word, and the hulking beast heaved him to the meeting despite the pathetic little whine of protest. The boy is still pouting when he is dispatched at his mother’s paws, and when he blinks away snow (and tears) he finds his cousin @Güell already there as well.

At least this means he won’t be first at bath time tonight, he supposes.

"Why she call?" He asks his parents, looking from them up and around - realising there’s so many lions gathering around. Nidas isn’t shy, but even he is nearly overwhelmed with the sheer number. A lot of them are family, however; he spies his grandfather, cousins, uncles - and there’s a sense of peace. He is safe. Not even a moment of doubt clouds his mind.

As usual, @Sedona was the one in charge of keeping everyone together — only now instead of caring for a pair of troublesome siblings, she had an entire family to wrangle. Léonie followed, lagging behind under the excuse of making sure the remaining hairballs were keeping up, though it seemed she’d misplaced a couple. Ah, well. They’d find their way eventually.

With her sheepskin hide around her shoulders, the Miroslav imp joined @Scorpius and Sedona, and reached back to pull the hide from her back, dropping it onto the children who’d gathered around them. It might not have been necessary — her own had inherited some protective fuzz from Thrain’s father — but she would willingly sacrifice her own comfort for theirs.

Not fooled by their similar appearance, the shivering Miroslav looked back in search of her mate, to not only see if he’d herded the rest of the children, but because she needed someone to keep her warm throughout the meeting. Now, where was @Thrain and the one, two … Oh, she’d lost count of them all. At least half of hers were there. That was good enough.

Muriel came. It wasn't the call the summoned the young bird, however. They didn't understand what it had meant, it was just another strange sound to their ears. But the hustle and bustle of the pride gathering drew them in. It was overwhelming. Muriel had never actually considered how many lions lived here. Their home flock had been large, but this group of lions seemed never ending.

The youth felt a swirling sense of unease. Like they didn't belong. Muriel lingered at the far edge of the group, teetering on their toes. Wide eyes darted sunset gaze around the faces for ones that they knew. But they couldn't see @Roarke. A soft, mewling trill vibrated on their speckled lips as they took a set backwards. Muriel wasn't used to such overwhelming feelings. They weren't actually sure what the feelings were. In their short life, they had been sheltered from most feelings that the flock which raised Muriel found inconvenient. Fear, sadness. Was Muriel feeling fear now? How could they know? Their heart was a little loud in their ears, and their mouth felt very dry. More then anything, they want to go home. They wanted home-tree and the flock and a warm nest and a feast of bugs and berries.

But they didn't move. Just watched with a quiet hum of discomfort on their lips.
