By now, he has lingered long enough. The fighting has ended quickly enough with a clear victor now emerging from the two lionesses. Those who spoke to her regarded her as Pistis and her mate as Gywn (who seemed to be a contentious sort by the way other behaved regarding him); large men were often a belligerent and selfish who would use their brute strength to see their way. Silver eyes scan over the crowd, settling for a moment longer on the large white woman before he moves to take his leave.

"On regarde," he muttered blithely to the stray Dieudonne cub who accumulated around his heels. As Oleander was to him, so he wished to be for Ambrosine. With her presence unaccounted for he could spare no heed to anyone else. He continued his anxious scrying until she appeared, hovering coven-esque behind one of her bastards. Then he visibly stilled enough to nod to @Amra, though his words were still silent within a gaping, drool- and dry-tinged fang ring.
The Casimir spoke words of doubtless English excuse that would not be worth his effort to try to translate, though he was sure to leave a smirk - for show - seeing that the large lion was afraid of a youth and a small female. Ambrosine seemed to disapprove of the situation in general as far as he could tell. The new queen did not seem to soothe her ire, nor did she bother any hostile or flattering language. Vermier decided he was meant to depart in silence as well. His looming presence over the scattered coastline was at an end.

She had managed to successfully mask her scent in order for her to watch the proceedings without interruption. Nadia kept her limbs close to her body even as she ducked down into the sparse foliage. She was far enough back to remain hidden but still close enough to observe the two women fighting. However just as quickly as the fight began it appeared a victor would be crowned. The lighter woman spoke of their ideals remaining the same as the previous ruler, then stating that her husband (a big burly man known as Gwyn) would take the role of her Sovereign. Interesting. Of course Nadia didn't know a thing about them or their family but regardless she considered the information better then not having any at all. Not wanting to stick around much longer she rose then from her hiding place, slinking off before she could be caught by another observer.

Lord of things happened all at once, Pistis tried to stay in the moment, but found herself somewhat overwhelmed. First, @Gwyn accepted the crown beside her. Despite the protest from some of the crowd. Namely @Xerxes. She tried to keep herself silent, and it was hard not to snap at him for such behavior. Simply because she was raised differently and he was talking shit about her husband. But what he said she’d thought herself a few times, and felt no need to address it publicly. She watched as the Dieu moved. @Kimagure walked forth and explained to her her position and offering. Pistis smiled, “thank you, it is good to hear of another female High Soverign.” Then, in a quieter, more cheeky tone, “us ladies must stick together, hm?” Then came @Jewel and the fondness on her face appeared once more. A flatterer was the dark queen, but subtle. “Of course we shall keep our alliance, it only makes sense. I will come see you in a few days to discuss specifics.” An inclination of her head. Eyes shifted to @Lilith, she wanted to be a medic? Well Pistis practically considered her a daughter. If she really wanted that rank, she’d give it. But she would prefer to give her a Royal title and then have her work with the lead medic closely. More and more left. Leaving her with very few friends about. All because of her husband. @Amra stayed momentarily to speak to her. More hate for her husband, but she dipped her head as she left. She was more polite and, frankly, she liked the lioness before her. But marriage was about making it work... right? Sacrifice for love... She faced those left with a smile. “I think it best we all return home for the evening, members, follow me, we’ll pick out your new dens swiftly and retire for the evening.” She dipped her head to the two Queens in front of her, respect ingrained in her figure. They’d fought and won as she had. Something they all had in common. She turned then, and waited for her family to follow her. A small pride indeed. -exit unless stopped- |

Watching. What were they watching for? He didn't know and he wasn't about to question it. He had very nearly used up his quota of questions already. He might have some later after things were all said and done so he needed to save them for that moment.
Then Ambrosine was there but she didn't come over to sit with them. Instead she was talking to some other lion. So rather than watching the fight the boy ended up watching his patron's sister instead. Perhaps this was what Vermier had meant by watching. After all Vermier was looking over there too.
And them everyone was leaving. Nothing was said they were just walking away. Like the obedient cub he was Oleander got up and followed after the lion whom had taken him in. Where they were going and what they were to do next he had no idea. He figured Vermier had a plan though.

Her tension could be felt, causing him to wonder if he'd done something wrong. When @Kimagure said not to 'give away' their relationship, he frowned for a moment before taking on a neutral expression. He hadn't realized something as simple as a little affection could cause any trouble. If that was the case, he'd make sure to avoid doing such a thing around anyone they didn't know. An ear flicked towards the bearish woman as she spoke, only to fall into his mane as the smaller challenger went for the larger one's throat, causing him to tense up and his claws dug into the ground. The action was uncalled for, especially in a battle that didn't warrant any death. His mother's claim that they should be wary of the grey lioness if she won, was one he somewhat agreed with, but somewhat didn't. Perhaps there was no malice behind her actions. She might not have intended to apply a dangerous amount of pressure to the white woman's neck.
When @Eina asked what was wrong with the woman's actions, his mother explained its significance in depth, all of which he listened to as his eyes remained glued to the two fighters. His attention faltered when someone called out to @Avreya. Brown orbs landed on a large male lion and he watched as the two greeted each other eagerly. He caught a few names, which he assumed belonged to other lions that were important to her. In the time that he was distracted, the fight came to an end. The victor gave a short announcement and at the mention of healing his ears perked a bit. When the pink eyed high sovereign approached the new ruler, he stood to follow, but stopped midstep at the flick of Kimagure's tail. He listened to the exchange of words, or as much as he could with the voices of other overlapping. Soon, the white lioness departed and he waited for his mother to see what she'd do next, so he could consider his next course of action as well. The injuries of both could use some healing, but there were a good bit of medics here. He wasn't needed too much.

Overrun, you're under the gun
Sound the drum, the Great War has come
"Of course.." Jewel smiled at the silver queen and when @Pistis turned to leave, she took a moment to admire the lioness's behind as it slunk away. The ebony sovereign slipped out of the Lagoon's pridelands, knowing that she would need to return home to make sure that all was well.. and perhaps start preparations to begin the hunt for Durius. The missing lion weighed heavily on her mind and heart and she frowned, pausing to look over the horizon, the swell and flow of the ocean before she slipped away to make her way back home.

Lilith was quite proud of Pistis and all that she had accomplished. She had proven in the face of adversity that she was strong and capable of caring for herself and her family. The palomino lioness paused for a moment, watching and listening as her 'mother' conversed with those gathered. And it wasn't long before it was suggested that they make their way further into their new home to lay out their dens for the evening. Lilith was more than happy to oblige and perhaps she could make a quick stop to see her younger siblings before fully settling in. Quickly the lioness followed after her family members, a noticeable spring in her step all the while.

The man pointedly, completely ignored @Xerxes and the vitriol he spewed. There was nothing to say that was not venomous and would not take away from the pale woman's victory. Besides, the man thought very little of him, and it was clear the boy did not think much of he. It was either that or tear into him for his foolish words, and since he had no interest in causing strife between his victorious wife and himself ignoring him was the safest bet.
Next came the hulking woman, the queen of the rainforest as it turned out. Gwyn pivoted to face @Kimagure , watching, as she offered congratulations and ginger. He did not feel the need to talk to the stone faced monarch, letting Pistis decide what to utter. Simply watched and blinked in acceptance of her words. It was now @Wodnik approached them both and the monster inclined his own head in response. The fact that the man offered his wife respect at all had him nodding again, accepting the gesture and the words. Vine would come and talk to them soon and the Casimir would once again be united. An alliance to make, though, the fact it was his own wife who challenged could prove difficult. Nothing that the man and his beloved could not handle. Still it would be awkward for a bit, not that he was planning to play second fiddle for too long. Gwyn was not one to bow to another, even his own wife, for all eternity.
@Jewel was next and the honeyed words had Gwyn smirking privately to himself, the thoughts all hidden behind his mask. Except for a spark that likely only @Pistis, and perhaps Jewel would spot. Amused by the obvious love between them both, finding he liked them together. At her inquiries about an alliance, the man finally spoke "I do hope we can continue our bettered alliance." he rumbles, meaning it. They had come to an agreement together, and while they would never be the sort to have an easy relationship, he liked to consider her a respected ally at the least, perhaps best frenemy at the most. A good balance with which he could exist.
His daughter spoke next and he inclined his head. Accepting her, wanting her as part of their pride, as royalty, or perhaps lead medic if she preferred. And while that was a happy note, he felt eyes, a look that drew him from his pleasure. The mother of Xerxes @Ambrosine looking oh so disappointed in his wife. She did not know him, not truly, and was a poison to their joy. Gwyn looked at her, telling her that Pistis' choices were her own and that her judgement was unwarranted and that she should keep such things to herself. After all she was married to that idiot, so she could not throw stones in her glass house.
Speaking of throwing stones, @Amra approached, she who had betrayed him, them, all that time ago. Spewing venom, glaring at him for reasons of her own. Foolish woman, what had he actually done to her? Hmm? Her words won a laugh from the monster, his chuckle sharp, cutting. "You never tried to know me, so why should you judge me so?" he asks, brows raised. The little fool, hating him for reasons that she had never expressed to him. He was no mind reader, and had no idea she had an issue until her betrayal at the cluster a few months ago. It was really a pot calling the kettle black, and he did not step down, or respond to such unfounded venom. Simply returned the haughty glare with an impassive one of his own. Then he dismisses her with a completeness that was pointed and a snub. Foolish chit.
His wife responded lightly to Kimagure and then bid them all to retire. He nods, suddenly exhausted by the whole mess of things. At least emotionally, socially, his body was not tired. Oh no. He shot the pale woman, victorious, a loaded look before following her, then separating. On the hunt for somewhere suitable for celebration of a more private sort.

She lingers only for enough information to swallow her ears whole. Which by far was not much from where she had sat herself down at. Hearing more shuffling stated to her that people were leaving the location - her mind slipping away to the sound and lull of the waves. Ahh, water. She makes her way, slipping forward into the unknown like an old ghost lost to time. When everyone stated their goodbyes and 'see you next times' or whatever the youngins did this era, she moved away and headed out herself. No need to linger anymore right?
