What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

He wandered far enough to where the sand thinned out to dead and dry ground in the Badlands, where red cliffs watched the lands on high. He preferred running on solid ground more than trying to navigate the sand, which shifted and moved beneath his feet, burying any source of life that had crossed previously. In the Badlands, while things were still dusty and moved with the breeze, he could at least follow scents that stuck to the dead and dried out vegetation along the way.

His nostrils flared as he followed a faint scent on the breeze, following what seemed like tracks in the dirt. Every now and then he paused to recalibrate, to ensure he was still following the right path and the right scent. Eventually, he reached a large rock where shadows danced along the cliffs beyond. Crouching behind the rock, he chuffed for those nearby to join him for a potential feast.

once upon a time, imogen had been lost here in the dried, dusty badlands. the ground cracked and crumbled beneath her paws and the red cliffs in the distance loomed ominously. she isn't sure exactly why she's here again, but her answer soon comes in the form of a pale lion, clearly tracking something. imogen stops to scent the air, the faint taste of prey overwhelming her senses. and so, she remains some small distance behind, eyes lowered to the ground for what they were trailing.... ah, tracks.

when the stranger comes to a halt and calls out to others now, the medic is happy to reveal herself. a chuff leaves her lips and she spares a single glance back at the prints left behind by their potential quarry before taking a few steps towards them. she is eager to help, and even more eager to eat.

There was nothin' like a good ol' fashion hunt to help keep the cowboy in tip top shape. He'd caught the chuffin' sounds and had headed in the direction it had come from. He made quick qord of travelin' across the arid terrain, golden eyes watchin' around him until he spotted two other lions in front of him. Nose sniffs the air deeply, also catchin' the scent of a possible meal - with which caused for his stomach to softly rumble. "Let's hope it's a big one," Lucien lowly drawls, givin' the two of them a quick bob of his maw in greetin'. Body then slips into its hunting position, tail tip flickin' behind him while he now waits.

this place hardly struck her as the kind of place to bring in much prey. yet she had heard the summons and answered it, appearing on the dusty horizon with a meandering step. della took her time to take in the surroundings, to study the dry terrain with a hint of boredom in her expression. it wasn't exactly an exciting place, and it could prove to be a hellish hunt if not enough help showed up...

putting this thought aside she joins the small gathering, and immediately drops to the ground to rub and roll in the red dirt. it muddies the look of her coat, but more than that it dulls her own scent and thus hopefully makes her less noticeable to whatever prey they take down...

rohan is only watching


he was pretty sure he was being followed. things had changed lately, though, and rohan was taking advantage of the potential lack of attention. it wasn't exactly safe but he didn't necessarily care, and he wasn't afraid of anything! the badlands were much further than he had ever traveled, though, and he knew from here he should probably turn around and head back home.

not to mention he was tired. he had kept up a decent pace, turning to follow the sound of the hunt summons, but now he was tired. his muscles ached and it was much harder to breath.

he was therefore quite relieved to find the gathered group, approaching them with no preamble, flopping down near a dry and gnarled piece of wood. without a word he flexed his toes and scoured it with his claws, sharpening them while looking around the group. once he was satisfied with how sharp they were he pressed against the log, attempting to roll it over and build up his strength while he waited to see what was going to happen, here.

This doesn't exactly look like a particularly enjoyable place to be, in Maven's humble opinion. The comforting presence of all things green have withered away beneath the open sky, leaving only dry, cracked earth behind, buried beneath a thick carpet of reddish dust. The jagged silhouettes of the crumbling cliffs in the distance hardly make the view any more welcoming beneath the intense scrutiny of the yearling's gaze.

But it's a fine enough place to run. For once, she could stretch her dark limbs out fully with no need to worry about tripping over some unseen burrow or root or whatnot. Or catapulting herself over a ledge. At least, such flat ground certainly suggested that those sorts of hazards would be easily seen.

Oh, but it seemed that the badlands wasn't entirely lacking in cover. The sound of a quiet chuff brings her to a skittering halt, casting her gaze around until it caught on the felines gathering near the rusty rocks. Maven hunkers down a bit instinctively, stalking closer with quiet steps, lest she scare off whatever lost prey animal they must be tracking.

And also because her pounding heart and burning lungs could use the momentary break.

Another day meant one more of training. Now an adult Typhoon felt ready to take on the world, a world he always wanted since he was a boy. And of course he wanted to make sure his body was ready to back his ambitions up. He knew dreams didn't fullfil with just saying, he needed to work for it. And with that he had gotten himself into a somewhat strict routine of working on his strength and speed every day. Sparring, hunting you name it, all of those were game for him to use on his path to greatness.

As he made his way around he aimed to push boulders around, wanting to work on his muscles. Imagining them as lions he was pushing around. But he also used these hard rocks to sharpen his claws, knowing his weapons needed to be taken care off just like his muscles.

But then he saw lions into hunting mode. Maybe this could help him, attacking animals could work as training. As such he went to hide.

She likes it here.

The dry, arid soil is comforting somehow. It reminds her of homecbut here, there's far more activity. It's harder to hide here than the other places but she keeps low and stays back; with any luck, she'll just be another shadow across the badlands. Mottled paws follow in their wake, pale eyes wide and lucid for a change. Here, maybe she knows that her blessings don't do much -- it's might, not words, that help influence if they're to be successful. So her mouth syaus closed, her attention shifting and snapping like a frayed wire sparking electricity. The badlands are quiet aside from the hunting group -- whatever they found here would probably be a straggler from a larger herd. Or maybe a baby, gotten lost in the smokefields. Ears strain as she watches intently, craning her neck to see what they manage to hunt.

The deserts of Amaryllis had once been especially challenging; their heat was still scorching, its terrain still entirely unforgiving. But the sands of Caladan and the heat rising off the ocean had been enough to give Kvare the confidence he needed to embrace this particular challenge. He skidded down the dunes, his legs tense and coordinated, until he managed to find his way toward the gathering crowd. He felt invigorated, ready, and kept his ears back against his head. Knowing the nature of these lands, he had wrapped old animal hide around his legs, keeping them protected from potential venomous bites that often peeked from unknowing places.

Melusina
at the shoreline, in sweet water we fed wild dogs overripe apples and herring; her hair hung in willow boughs

This place were especially far from home, and especially dangerous; and yet Melusina persevered regardless. Her travels around Amaryllis had given her a bit more strength than she was used to, though each night she came home aching and keening. She was thankful she'd brought most of her supply from the Mire, this time, given the near-total lack of fauna in this place. Despite her best efforts, she'd not been able to find anything additional that was useful. Yet, the dry and hot nature of this place allowed her to easily dry out the herbs, and begin to crumble them into a fine powder that could easily be made into a poultice.
