Kireena had slipped out in the dark of the night, leaving the territory of Firnen in silence. She had made @Aelynthi a promise and made the trip towards Obsidian - where she had last left the cleric and called to her. Once they had gathered the things the pregnant female thought she might need, the red druid escorted her towards the jungle.

She knew there was the distinct chance that Camellia wouldn't heal in time for the womans cubs to be born, so she wanted to make sure that the other was cared for on the trip. The last thing they needed was for Obsidian to come screaming at Firnen for war if someone was hurt on accident.

Slowly, she led the way with a practiced step through the jungle, towards the river. "There are quite a few places along here to bed down that you'll be close.. but also dry.." She knew that the wellbeing of her friend was the most important thing to the dark woman.. and Kireena hoped to make sure she could meet Camellia as soon as she was well enough to rise.

The trek is a long one, even for those who are not heavily pregnant. It's not that Aelynthi struggles, no, but towards the end of their trek there is a level of fatigue present that ensures she will not have long before she must rest for the night. Even if she sleeps through the day, she will be close by awaiting the good news about Camellia, and that alone is enough for her. She follows behind @Kireena carefully, weaving between the trees as she does, at least until they reach the river. " Sounds like a plan to me honestly. " She mused softly, voice sounding nearly as tired as she was. It was nothing she wasn't used to at this point though, the lack of sleep. The exhausted colossal woman did not have much more oomph in here at this point, so it was best they found wherever they were going to bunk down.

Kireena looked at the heavily pregnant lioness before she smiled, leading the way towards a small space that would do. It was well above the waterline, tucked away and out of the way of prying eyes. "You should be safe here...I can visit within a few minutes if need be." Her expression softened before she moved around and started to gather enough soft bedding to give her friend a comfortable place to sleep.

"I'll stay here with you tonight - make sure no one decides to sneak up and cause problems.." Kireena chuckled, moving as she gathered the dried fronds and fragrant plants of the jungle so that the hollows female wouldn't need to do it herself. She wasn't carrying the extra weight of the unborns.

In her state, the spot Kireena had picked out was a gold mine, of the highest tier. Not a single thing wrong with it, and had it not been for her friend's lovely gesture of gathering bedding for the spot, the colossal woman would have probably immediately laid down in it. She's patient though and waits, watching and listening as she's given reassurance to how long it would take Kireena to come running should anything happen. " I'll make sure to test you on that.. " Aelynthi jokes openly, a tired grin stretching across her face as her gaze follows her friend's movements. Her brows raised curiously as she learns of the medic's desire to stay and protect her for the night, to which the charcoal woman replies sheepishly. " I... thank you. I appreciate everything you've done. " As far as friend's went, Kireena had definitely earned her place for certain. It would be up to the shaman to provide the same thing when the time came.

Kireena continued her work quickly of gathering fresh herbs that would aid in sleep by scent alone as well as the softer bedding materials. The red giant placed them in a pile outside the space, knowing if @Aelynthi was anything like herself she would want to arrange it to her comfort. "You're...welcome." A smile touched the woman's lips as she felt her ears fold against her skull in sheepish acceptance.

"If you see a large floppy eared girl or a piebald youngling running around.. those are mine.". There was a pride evident in her voice as she spoke of the two youngsters. "Etain and Andraesa. If you need help and I'm not here they can be trusted.". She knew neither girl would turn away if someone needed help.

It's nice to just sit for once, watching as her friend makes quick work of gathering the materials to make up a "nest" of sorts. Her eyes watch carefully, appreciative and curious all the same as she pays close attention to all of what Kireena gathers. Not out of a lack of trust, but out of insatiable curiosity. The smile that stretches across her friend's face garners one in return and she finds herself driven to ask questions. " Yours biologically or has Maua blessed you with them? " It was the most polite way she could think of to ask if they had been adopted when Kireena had come here. Her friend had made no mention of having children prior to coming to Amaryllis, but she could not be certain, after all.

@Aelynthi questioned if the two females were hers by birth or other means and the red woman shook her head, her expression shifting just slightly. "I'm..not a fit birth giver..those two are young ones I've found in Amaryllis and taken in." She'd given the girls the choice - of course, but Kireena thought of them as hers regardless of whos loins they'd come from.

She carefully nudged all the items into a pile for the dark Hollows woman to adjust as she wished before settling to her haunches. "You mentioned Maua gifting them? Is that something the diety does? Make sure that the lost find each other?" She was - as of yet - unaware that the diety of these lands could offer something far more special.

If there was something Aelynthi was proud of, it was her ability to read people by even the slightest expression changes. Most of her practice had come from recognizing Roarke or Alexander's slight mood changes, but it does not matter. She can still see that little fade of emotion from her dear friend... but she does not pry, only seeks to lean against @Kireena to let her know she cares. " Then They blessed you with what you needed most... what they needed most. " She muses quietly, almost eerily so as silence befalls the pair. It was hard to remember that she was not the only one who had struggled in their efforts to become mothers.. but this was a stark reminder she would not forget.

Aelynthi motions to a slow stand in order to shuffle the bedding around as she needs, but she does it efficiently enough that she is not on her feet for long before she is able to settle back down. Once tucked in, her gaze and attention falls openly onto Kireena once more, more than keen to answer her questions. " Yes. Maua makes sure that all those who wish for parenthood are granted it, whether biologically or by guiding us to those without parents. " She pauses, trying to meet her friend's unsteady gaze for a moment. She was not typically moved to resort to such manners, but she feels it is only fair for such a good friend. " It is said so quietly and intimately it would be easy to mistake it all for gibberish, but it was not often she was moved to speak in her family's tongue. For Kireena though, it was all worth it.

A frown came as @Aelynthi spoke in something soft, inaudible and Kireena found herself tilting her skull with a confused expression before she decided to shrug it off - not sure if it was really something that she had a place in asking. It was obviously intended to be a subtle saying so she didn't want to make her friend upset by prying.

But still.. there was a faint flush of color to her cheeks - the red fur hiding it well enough, but there was something in her gaze that let on that she wasn't unaffected by the intimate tone that her friend spoke in. She cleared her throat, scuffing a foot before she shifted nervously. "Ael...Thank you.. I'm not ...sure why I feel the need to thank you but..I do."
