With her own twin slipping away into the distance, Laerra did much the same and followed suit. Eager to get to the bottom of whatever call this was but she had made a pit stop on the way. Converting her coat into a mix of random scents from the trees in the forest to the grass in the fields, to the mud that ran alongside the pond of flamingos. Every ounce of her wolfbron scent was gone and her appearance? Well, you could hardly tell who or what she even was. The only thing that could be seen were the orange and purple eyes that were already trying to get a sense of what was going on.

@Louve ♔ and @Amara were already present which was where her sister had wandered to, but she did not join them. Instead opting to remain hidden from the outside where she could see the fighting from a distance but she was more interested in everything that was going on around them. Many of her pride mates were fighting others but she couldn't discern what pride they were from, only that they were not at peace with them.

The rise and fall of kingdoms seemed to ebb and flow like a tide across these savage lands. Yet even so, he still felt the faint tighten of excitement cloy in his veins as the call rings out across the land.

The behemoth did not always attend, but today he ventured toward the Cove with a hope for some slither of adventure. He is not disappointed. Chaos has exploded and there appeared to be more than one grudge laid out upon the sands.

Blood is tasted upon the air, the tang of it more welcome than the salted breeze of the coast. The immortal spots @Nephthys amongst the crowd, her masked avenger caught up in a another fight nearby.

He moved on, broad paws taking the giant toward the familiar figure of his favourite little elf. "Rosette." (@Helah) The devil smiled, aiming to whisper into her torn ear as he came alongside. "Miss me?"

War had erupted in the wake of another pride challenge. The Cove was yet another mystery to her—it’s patriarch shrouded in mystery, his intentions left to the bewildering imaginations of lions waiting with bated breath. But never would the more ambition of them wait for too long, and soon the call rang out for its throne, and how delighted Tinúviel would have been if it were Sahir at its helm. Instead, it was a woman; young, but strong. Forged by the sea.

She came to settle upon the distant outskirts, curious to the happenings before them but keen not to fall within its clawing grasp. Whatever chaos unfolded here so close along the Scilla shoreline was bound to touch their own pride, and Tinúviel knew better than to continue to stir in her grief. Even if it were all she wanted.

Amara's focus had been locked on Nero and those who had stood with him as she stood in front of @Louve ♔, a shield for her. She was aware that others were there that could be an issue but until they moved toward her, she would let them be. She barely saw the movement and if @Leila's stripped body hadn't moved in the way it did Amara may not have thought twice about it. The high sovereign's body spun to face the male that was attacking her pride member, her claws swiped through the air fully intent on landing on the male's face when he was attacked by his own family. One by one familiar and unfamiliar faces piled onto him. Amara snarled but moved to push herself toward @Louve ♔ and @Aideen in an effort to move them from their spot here. Not out of the Cove but away from the pile of bodies that seemed intent on stopping the young male. @Tripfire jumped in and Amara was grateful for the help. The male's family saved him from death today because Amara would not have stopped with a simple maim against the boy. Her golden gaze remained on the pile of bodies even as she attempted the movement of the two females. "@Helah." She said sharply to get the lioness to move in and add another layer of protection.

@Leila joins them, and Louve is not oblivious to her unease. The tigress' uncertainty is met with the opposite from @Apollinaire, and her gaze snaps quick to her mate. "Oui," she answers, too, as she looks back to the stripped woman, "in whatevair way we can." There was a message, there, if the tiger wanted to hear it. If she could not fight then she could still make herself useful...

No sooner had she spoken than a tiny white male launched himself at her husband, and Louve responded in two ways. One, with a curl lip and a snarl of displeasure. Two, by stepping to the side and out of the way. Trusting her mate to show the might of the Dieudonne. He had felled so many, surely this scrawny little creature would be no trouble for him.

@Amara is there, earning a quick look from the young sovereign, before her focus is pulled to the arrival of Aideen. The spitfire girl brings a grin to the lips of the matriarch. "We fight with z'e cove," she answers, because she does not see any reason to stop the girl from seeking her own battle, "if you find a target z'at is your size feel free to make z'em leave..." No mercy and all that jazz.

Out of respect for her husband's concerns she would not seek a fight unless one found her and so she stands her ground -- until chaos erupts.

Louve can hardly make sense of the beast barrelling her way, so abruptly does it happen. The chartreux cat is immediately on guard, claws extended and body braced for the impending collision. Fortunately (or unforunately?) it does not come.

Before she can blink there is a flurry of bodies. Some dogpile on the attacker -- one catches her eye and she swallows, hard, to see @Alexander ♔ again -- and some step between her and him. Tripfire is there, shouting, and her mother moves as if to shoo her away. Vaguely she is aware that Leila has fled. Everything happens all at once until she turns towards @Amara with a snap of her teeth. "Enough. Je vais bien, mère." I am fine, mother.

Louve takes a small step back, away from the chaos, looking pointedly at @Aideen to ensure she followed suit. But it was just as clear that the matriarch was not going anywhere, as her gaze snaps sharply to Apollinaire and then to Gauthier, determined to see the end of the fights.

Was he supposed to be here? Probably not. Did he care? Definitely not. And neither did his smaller brother, who had already thrown himself into the thick of the chaos. Carefully avoiding the eyes of his mother and father, who would no doubt send him packing and not nicely, he skirted around the mass of lions, some of which were engaged in violent brawls.

His attention was caught by the battlefield ghost; a figure with a strange glow around her that was speaking with some of the others. He drew in closer, blissfully unaware that they were the enemy. As he drifted nearer and nearer to the backs of those gathered he could hear more of what was being said. He heard the words of a younger lion, who's fighting who? and his eyes landed on a maroon figure, older than him but not larger. If she weren't so close to the big black male he might have made a move.

Oh! But then the male ran off to attack....his father? Well, that was rude. That clearly meant that the lions gathered here were enemies, and this included the girl who had spoken. "You're fighting me," he growled loudly to her, answering her question, and then he rushed at her from behind, aiming to raise his front legs up and rest them on her hips, trying to dig his claws into the flesh there while also trying to bite at the flesh of her back, along her spine.

It seemed that he was meant to be embroiled in this fight after all. And here the Rike jarl had begun to wonder if he would see any action today, as fights broke out around him but he failed to find a decent target. He was sorely unaware of who was allied with who, save for the Illyrian queen and her loyalties to the Sigrun.

But it was impossible for him to miss the black beast that lumbered towards him across the sand, blood boiling in his veins as he had only eyes for Adalwolf, dodging the other fighting figures in his path. Now this was quite interesting, and he would have to see what he could learn from this encounter.

Seeing his opponent coming gave him ample opportunity to prepare. Adalwolf braced his legs firmly, tensing his muscles so that it would be difficult for his attacker to throw him to the ground. At the last minute, he pushed forward to meet the attack and they slammed together as the other man threw himself at Adalwolf. His own forward momentum displaced the momentum of his attacker, preventing himself from being fully bowled over by the charging man. He felt claws pierce along his ribcage where the man's claws managed to strike him and bruising where their flesh had slammed together.

They were mostly head-on and so Adalwolf lifted his left foreleg, extended his claws, and sought to slam his paw into the man's shoulder or right side, hoping to dig his claws into his opponent's flesh in return for the damage already done do his own sides. With the nearness of his opponent he could smell the taste of the ocean alongside the scent of Brook and a sadistic grin spread across his face. "Ich werde dich beenden, Sigrun Hund," he spat to the man as they clashed.

The lioness had barely a moment to ponder whether she should follow her family or not, but curiosity and the chaotic energy inside of her won after both brothers snuck after her parents. And so the Rike yearling followed, only instead of rushing in like her idiot brothers, she snuck across the border and found a tall boulder to climb atop and peer down at the raging war.

A large black male runs at her father and she must steel herself from screaming to him, she did not want to distract him, not now. Her eyes travel to her brothers battles, a sneer on her lips, at least it would be them in trouble this time and not her, if she had anything to do with it. Eyes carefully watched it all, trying to remember the prides and who was the sovereign of where, more battles broke out and she shifted, claws digging into stone.

Her uncle fights like an angry horde of beasts and pride swells within her chest, she was apart of two strong families, all warriors, all-powerful, one day she would be just as powerful.

Myrkvi had forgone the element of surprise, a more bold approach than to say his fight with Adeo. Adalwolf would meet him along the way, their bodies slamming together. His chest bruised from the impact, but his claws found some flesh after all. He felt the resistance of hide before it gave way to the sharpness of his claws. He did nothing to deter the target the Rike Jarl placed on his shoulders, allowing the claws to dig into his inky skin where blood bloomed around them.

Myrkvi flexed his toes, attempting to dig in his claws further into the ribs they landed on. His jaws opened to take advantage of their proximity - his teeth attempting to aim for the flesh of Adalwolf’s left cheek in an effort to grab the Rike’s face.

It certainly was interesting, the timing of everything. Just a day before, he had asked Gauthier for release from the pride. Perhaps it was fortunate enough that he even lingered in the area - hoping to find his brother coming or going from the pride - when he noticed a lioness saunter up to the pride's borders, calling for Gauthier fiercely.

It wasn't long before the vultures followed her, settling in on nearby tree branches, rocks, even the sand, and particularly anything they could perch on. Of course, these vultures were lions. Poltergeist kept his distance, choosing instead to take high ground so that he could stay away from the fray, but also get a good look at everything.

Bunkering down on the cliffside of the Cove, he settled in and fixed his eyes on the fight that was beginning below. Or rather, fights, because there were many in progress, even during the small amount of time it took him to climb the cliff. Perhaps even a war had broken out, and he was both relieved that he was nowhere near it, and neither seemed Recluse.
