He was in search of specific plants, he wasn't exactly sure WHERE they would be. But Vasilis knew that somewhere that was dry and high up might be the best place to find them. The golden brute made his way to the pit - a location still swallowed up most fog until finally, the morning sun rose high up in the sky that details of the location were coming into view. The array of stone ledges, seats, stairs, and outcrops that this location offered was very dangerous if one wasn't too careful. When the fog lifted and only remained at the low of his ankles, the Sovereign would strut forward and down the stairs as they sloped down to a small arena like the location. There should be clover's here right? He knew he would need to gather a few to update his pouch of herbs. And clovers were great for expecting mothers!

Ophelia had never been fond of the Pit or of the violence that occurred there. It seemed as though it were a place which resulted in problems, injury and pain regardless of what the outcome resulted to be. For Ophelia, fighting was never particularly the answer -- she would much rather diplomatically discuss the issue than come to loggerheads.

The ivory woman stood upon the edge of the pit, quietly observing the lion that was occupied below. For once, the aroma of fighting lay dormant, which lead to Ophelia being more than happy to grace her presence among the dirty and fractured stone arena.

Ophelia quietly made her way down the series of steps and ledges that the Pit had to offer, and once she reached the ground, the Valour woman released a series of chuffs to alert @Vasilis of her presence. She wasn't one to startle others, so thought it best to let the male know that she was there.

It took the girl a moment, but she soon realised that this lion was part of the Lagoon pride that she and her sisters, among other Brook members, had visited the other day. An innocent smile crept upon her lips. "You're looking for something, aren't you?" She asks, almost instinctively, and took a step forward. Perhaps she could -- if the gods were willing -- read this man's fortune. Maybe he'd be successful in finding his loot.

He continued to scan, his paws moving forward, scuffling out the weeds - moving stones. So far nothing but weeds and a few flowers but nothing he needed right then and now. But it was nice to know that other plants were forming in this unknown location. Weight shuffled again and again as he walked - paced and formed his eyes to search for more of the plants. That was until he took in a smell, something exotic and yet not. Hmm?

Taking a breath he turned and heard another sound, someone was coming near him. It was another lion, 'you're looking for something aren't you?' the voice of the lioness dusted beyond the mist and fog. He stopped before clearing his throat, his ears flopped forward into his golden crown. "Why yes. I am looking for a plant that helps nursing mothers and aides in childbirth. " he tells them swiftly before stopping and turning to look over @Ophelia slowly. He couldn't point it out but there was something odd about them. Was she even real? " are you.......real? I feel...like ..this place is some where unearthy..." he looked around the the Pit.

Ophelia watched quietly as @Vasilis continued to scan the ground for whatever it was he was looking for. Sea foam eyes study the male - had they met before? Regardless of if they had or hadn't, Ophelia would happily help him look.

The girl nods. "Are you expecting, my dear?" She asks, curious as to why the male might be collecting aiding herbs and plants. Interesting, for sure. But what did strike the girl the most was his reaction to seeing her. She chuckled. "Yes, I am real," Ophelia remarks as she steps out of the mist and uncertainty, and into the light. "This place is known for it's fighting, and for its violence." Thought it has been quiet for some time - maybe that's why it had begun to attract strangers more so now.

The girl twitches her ear. "I see something in you." Ophelia remarks after a brief moment, eyes falling onto his and focusing on him. "You are..." Gentle tones trail off into quiet nothings, as she takes a step forward and closes the distance between them. A frown sits upon on her features. "....destined for good things."

he laughed "Oh no. No, I have someone in my Pride that is due within the next weeks. I wanted to stock up and be sure that we had everything for when she was going to give birth." he smiled. He shifted, looking for the plant as he eyed the area. "I am glad I am not seeing things. It's not often I see someone with your coloration and markings. You look....ethereal my dear." he smiled as he picked up a weed. Nope, that wasn't what he wanted.


Hmm?" he reacts but then stops walking. He puts the weed down before blinking at her. Her words though stop him as he tilts his golden crown. What did she mean by that? And why the frown? " You say...destined for good things...but the frown says otherwise....." he looks at his feet. He then wondered why she had said that. @Ophelia's words would haunt him for the nights to come as he tried to nitpick what she would mean by that.

@Vasilis' response made the girl chuckle - she knew he wasn't expecting. It was the curiousness that made her ask - she thought the obviousness that he was male and couldn't bare children was obvious. Clearly this Sovereign was a bit of a joker.

It turns out that the man was also full of compliments too - how endearing. Ophelia smiled at his comment. "Why thank you. I must admit, I am yet to see anyone with similar markings and colours to myself. The gods have blessed me, for sure." She remarks. Clearly Maua wanted her to be different - wanted her to stand out from the crowd of dulcet tones and craggy colours.

Vasilis picks up a weed and then puts it down again. Evidently that was not what he was looking for. She nods at his comment. "I am frowning because it is not quite clear to me yet. I see positive energy in you - which suggests you are destined for good. I cannot tell you specifics, unfortunately. Maua will not allow it." She explains, hoping to ease any anxiety she might've fed him. "I believe you'll be in a position of power for sometime, Sir."

Her attention then turns back to the initial conversation - Dirius was looking for something. "What does the plant you require look like? Perhaps I can help." Ophelia suggested, wanting to help the High Sovereign find his loot so he would be prepared for future births.

A position of power? Maua would not allow it? What was she talking about? He shifts and looks at her with a question. "Who is this Maua?" he asked firstly "And the position of power could be taken in many ways.." he looked up in thought. He shifts, his paws digging and looking up at the tree lines.

When she asked what he was looking for he smiled. "I am looking for the plant Syzygium aromaticum. It generally grows in tree's but oftentimes with strong winds the berries fall off and land on the ground and grow as tiny tree saplings. Sometimes they look like bushes and not yet trees." he tells her softly.

It's a dark green leaf, with berry-like growths. The flowers when the berries bloom is bright red, like blood. And oftentimes the flowers are used for gifts and such by others. It helps with childbirth." he smiled as he relays to her what the plant looked like. He looks over his shoulder at @Ophelia with a smile. "I am trying to get enough for those who will be having cubs. You never want to be shy of such plants that could help someone in a dire time of pain and need." he shrugged.
