The last time the viking woman had been in this direction, Asteria had been here and she had saved the girl from falling off of the edge of the gorge. It had brought a new feeling into her life and it was one that the wheat woman held onto drastically. With Asteria away from her, the viking felt like there was a piece of her missing and it caused her to be less focused. Her tracks going everywhere, more likely to confuse who ever would come into the Hideaway behind her. She was really unaware of where she was to begin with and would continue into the Hideaway until she came to a dead end and settled there; for now. +5 Leave a trail of confusing tracks @Calypso ”Speech” |

Summer
With the last of the rainfall seeming to have swept across the peninsula, summer days await! The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

+5 Study the flora of a neutral territory 1/2 It was the longest she had trekked since she had come to Amaryllis. Long journeys were not unfamiliar to the female, though, and she did not shy away from travel for her plants. As she was still getting to know this place and what secrets it held she expected to have to wander further than the beach and it's surrounding territories. The desert seemed a wasteland to those that did not know it - but Calypso knew well what uses could be found here. There were a few desert plants - particularly aloe vera and desert rose - that she wanted to add to her collection. Gambier if she was lucky too. The tracks distracted her. Immediately she was concerned that they belonged to one that was injured and they quickly captured her full attention. The herbs could wait; her gaze lowered to the ground and riveted on the waving path. Across the sands and in to the shade, the cool stone that surrounded her a relief and welcome escape from the sun. A quiet chuff to announce her presence as she was certain she was drawing near to whomever it was. This belief proven when she rounded a corner and found a new face. Calypso sat and gave her some space, not wanting to intrude if she was not welcome. |

Perhaps she should have been alert to her surroundings but her mind had been else where and therefore, the viking woman was not aware that her confusing tracks may be one of an injured animal. So when a quiet chuff reached her flattened ears, the viking stood up and hears went forward. There was no hostility in her form but alertness as Ástríðr would let her sea foam gaze land on the other woman. Blinking slightly to let her eyes become more adjusted to the semi-darkness before moving forwards. Can I help you? What else could she say, the woman was just sitting there. @Calypso ”Speech” |

"Are ye alrigh'?" It was the first thing that came to mind. The wavering tracks and the odd greeting had her somewhat concerned about the other, her healer mind already thinking back to plants she had seen on the way here. Perhaps she would be able to help, or perhaps the other would just want her to leave. Either way Calypso would respect the answer - she knew well what it was like to want peace and quiet, too. As she waited for an answer she looked around, taking note that there was little here in the way of herbs. The rocks were barren and it would seem the usefulness of the dunes ended at the caverns. +5 Study the flora of a neutral territory 2/2 @Ástríðr |

Was she alright? Well there were many ways to say she was and many ways that Ástríðr could say she wasn't but right now? Ja, I am. She would answer in truth. What she was currently thinking about was of no concern to the woman before her who seemed to think she had been injured. Sea foam jewels would glance around her own form to see if perhaps Ástríðr had nicked herself somewhere but the smell of iron was lacking and therefore, the viking was not hurt so her attention went back to @Calypso. Why do you ask? In reality, the viking didn't know she had made such concerning tracks. ”Speech” |

A slight furrow appeared across her brow but was gone in the next breath - if the woman did not wish to share her concerns then Calypso would not press her. Perhaps she had just been lost in thought, which was her next assumption when she did not seem to understand where the question had come from. "Ye left quite the trail." This was as much of an explanation she would offer, gaze leveled on the other. It was beginning to feel like her company was not welcome, here, and she prepared herself to disappear if that feeling continued. @Ástríðr |

At the mention of a confusing trail, Ástríðr would glance towards the set of paw prints she had left behind and it caused her to chuckle. You would be correct. She would muse out loud. Well, that would explain why the other woman had followed her in such a concerning manner. A small sigh formed as the viking woman would look to @Calypso then and give her a small smile. Forgive me for the trail, I was lost in thought and didn't realize it. Though if this woman had been an enemy, Ástríðr would be rather un-pleased with herself. ”Speech” |

The pirate shrugged. "I'm sorry t' intrude." It was really all she could think to say and for a moment afterwards the silence stretched between them. Calypso's gaze tracked around the rock walls; finding nothing of interest it returned to settled on the unfamiliar female. "D'ye wish to be alone?" She would, of course, respect that if the answer was in the affirmative. Far be it from her to stay where she was not wanted. |

Blinking at the woman before her, Ástríðr would shake her head. Don't apologize for something no one can help. She would state before asking to be alone. Though she was used to being alone, this time didn't feel right. Actually, no, I'd like some company; if you don't mind. She would state, glancing at @Calypso in a questioning manner. Perhaps she could learn something from this woman. She was unfamiliar. New to Ástríðr and perhaps even Amaryllis so maybe they could help each other out. Who would know but only them right? She just wasn't used to asking for the company was all. ”Speech” |

A woman of few words she simply shrugged at the dismissal of her politeness. It had been out of nature for her, besides, and she felt no need to press it further. When @Ástríðr indicated she'd prefer company the pirate girl felt at first quite uncertain. It was awkward, now, and she had never been great at small talk. A few different statements bounced around in her mind until she finally decided on the most simple - "Calypso." The introduction accompanied with the slightest nod. |
