It's was beautiful, the way the world almost appeared blue, moonlight filtering into he darkness between trees, a foggy haze hovering in the air.

She awoke, a witch of the night, nestled against her family. Crickets sang, a symphony of echoing calm, as she made her way out of the den, between the trees as she did each night, towards where she knew there was a dik dik that had come back to a certain stream each night, hoping to catch it eventually.

The sound of water met her ears as she crept against the sparse underbrush, slowly as to not to scare any potential prey.

Thana sat tucked away in a clump of low lying plants, studying a shrubby plant with a wide white flower. She was fairly certain it was angel's trumpet, a powerful narcotic that she had told Clementine about, but she wasn't completely sure, and she didn't want to harvest such a beautiful plant if she was wrong.

She had only ever seen it dried, but it looked the same and smelled the same. She was pretty sure that she could collect it safely by nipping it at the stem, because the leaves were the toxic part. How much would it have to be diluted to have the narcotic effect without the other nasty side effects?

The dik dik had already passed through the stream, the the peach woman almost sighed out loud, still low to the ground in the underbrush as she stalked back through the trees, finding something other than prey.

The night woman observed a plant she often collected, mixing it with healing herbs to sedate animals to be sacrifices for Apophis. Concerned, the witch walked out into the open, a gentle smile and a chuff of greeting from her maw. "Careful. I don't doubt your abilities, but Angel's Trumpet is very potent."

Thana jumped and wheeled around, startled at the sound of another. She'd gotten too comfortable here, thinking no one would sneak up on her. Then, she realized who it was. Just @Arachane. She breathed a sigh of relief and dipped her head to the lioness.

Then, she processed what she had said and smiled. "I thought it was!" She chirped victoriously. "I've never seen it still alive before. It's beautiful." She sat before the plant, tail curled by her feet. "Do you know if it's possible to use it to help? Like, for pain?" .

The witch strode forward closer after she was noticed, a happy smile on her maw to greet the night lioness. "I see." She stated in response to @Thana only have seen the plant dried.

The question was interesting, and peaked the rose's interest in what it was the other assassin needed to do. "I have used it mixed with healing herbs to counteract its harmful effects, but it simply renders what I use it on completely unconscious.... Perhaps I can help you with what you need to do? Is someone in need of help?" She asked.

Thana's mouth twisted to the side as she thought about @Arachnae's reply. Completely knocking someone out could be useful. "Does it have paralytic effects as well, or does the body still... react?" She supposed she could test it herself, but it was easier to just ask.

She shook her head to her companions next question. "Nah, just curious. Medicine, poison, they can't be so different, right?" She wasn't sure why she'd taken such a sudden interest in medical plants. To protect her sister, maybe. But learning a whole new set of plants seemed daunting. Plus, if she could figure out how to utilize the plants in a helpful way, it could make creating the antidotes more simple.

Arachnae was relieved to hear no one was in danger, and felt her concern melt away, simply forming into simple curiosity. "From the creatures I have used it on, they showed now significant reaction after being picked up or touched, so I would say it's definitely total paralysis. I would have to day it doesn't help with pain, though. Simply makes them unable to react. But with the concoction I create, it also outs them to sleep, so if you are sleeping, I suppose you aren't in pain." She contemplated. "It all depends of what mixture of plants you use, and how the effects will interact with each other."

Plants and such aside, she had realized it had been quite a long time since she had seen the night assassin. "Anyways, how have you been @Thana?"

Thana hummed in thought at @Arachnae's words. Being paralyzed while being hurt was not a fun experience, and one she'd rather not relive. "That's helpful information, thank you." Since there was no one here to make her, she didn't plan to inflict that anyone. Unless, perhaps, they hurt Alva.

She stepped away from the plant and sat, now facing the other lioness. "I'm doing well, thank you for asking. My sister and I live not too far from here now. She seems to quite like the trees." She considered the time her sister had complained of being bored and she had suggested she climb trees. She supposed she should practice climbing more herself "What about yourself? How have you been?"

The blossom embossed woman dipped her head in return from the thanks, happy to be of use, when if all she gave was information. She was happy to hear that Thana was doing well, and her still unmet sister. "I am doing fine. Some things happened, and once again I am without a pride, but I have lived this way before. Being a rogue is easy when you know what your doing." She chuckled.

After a moment, she mirrored @Thana's pose and sat on the ground, "I now have two daughters, me and my partner adopted a little girl we found around here, actually."

The darker lioness nodded. "As long as you will be safe. If you ever have need of me, my sister and I will always lend you a hand." It was the first time she'd said something like that. The words felt foreign, but she knew they were true. Other than her sister, there had never been anyone she would happily lend aid to, but for @Arachnae, well, she couldn't think of much she wouldn't do.

"Daughters," she purred softly. The idea of a childhood was foreign to her, much farther was the idea of having not one, but two moms. "I bet they're happy."
