Arachnae blushed at the offer, a smile forming on her face. It the short time they had spent together, she had managed to have Thana open up and become much more.... friendly. Though the witch still likes the way she was before, this version of her was new, but quite likeable. She didn't know how she managed to befriend so many others. Alexon, Astrid, Thana, Gawain and Elijah.... And yet, there she was. On good terms with them all.

The peachy lioness grinned widely at the suggestion that her daughters must be happy, "I try my hardest to do both what's best for them and what makes then happy. I'm hoping to move into a peaceful pride soon, until my friend can establish her band."

@Arachnae had been the first lion ever, barring her sister, to show her kindness. It has been a foreign concept then, and it still was now, but she never felt that the lioness before her was waiting around and expecting something of her. It seemed that she was just... nice. For the sake of being nice.

She spoke of her daughters, how she cared for them and did things to make them happy and protect them, and a pang of jealousy shot through her gut. She hid it well, but stars above, how different would she be if she'd had a parent who cared? Some tiny child-like part of her wanted to ask Arachnae to be her mother as well, but that wasn't something she ever could or would ask. Instead she nodded along with a smile. "They're lucky to have you."

Arachnae felt a little bad, speaking of her growing family when Thana had only when sister. But a sister was something to be appreciated as well. "Alva is lucky to have you. I didn't get to grow up with my brother, and that's something I'll never experience. You two had each other, and that was basically it. Cherish that bond." The witch said. She cared deeply for Drakon, but the closest she had to siblings while young was her rival potential heiress to the shaman.

The masked woman slowly looked to the scarce stars above, her face solemn. "As my family grows, as does my heart. My heart always have room to grow, @Thana. If you and your sister ever wish to come spend time with us, you're always welcome."

Thana nodded. She wouldn't give up Alva for anything. She worried, though, that Alva would one day move on without her. It was a fear she tried to suppress, but she couldn't seem to get rid of it entirely. She knew they were on different paths, desired and feared different things.

@Arachnae's offer caught her off guard, and her ears flattened in surprise. It was one thing to offer aid, another entirely to offer... a place in the family? It took her several moment to reply. "I- Thank you, Arachnae. That's a kind offer." Hopefully one that she would have the courage to act on some day.

Arachnae dipped her head at the night lioness's words. She knew Thana had a hard cubhood, with little to no affection from her father, simply a creature me at to either kill or be killed. A disgusting shame, one she understood perfectly. One that made her wish she knew just where that vile man was.

The rose woman tilted her head curiously, "How have you been doing, acclimating to others? Have you made any new friends?" She asked. She really hopes that eventually, she would be able to feel at home here, and find others she felt comfortable with. Maybe even someone she would fall for.

Thana smiled. @Arachnae was already acting like a mom, she didn't need to wish for anything.

"I met a couple lions who were nice enough. I don't think we'd be friends, necessarily, but I don't feel like I need to be afraid of them either. And I met a lioness, Clementine, in the boneyard. She's the opposite of me, I think, all cheerful and happy. We agreed to be friends, but I haven't seen her since."

It frustrated her a little that she hadn't been able to find Clem again, but she didn't think the little lioness was avoiding her. She probably just hadn't been looking in the right places.

The night lioness spoke of those she had met, and to her absolute surprise, she heard a name she hadn't in a long time. "Clementine?" She clarified, "Peachy colored lioness, with a bit of a mane?" The witch blinked. She too had been friends with her, but not since coming from the old lands, years before. How... Ironic. "She is cheery and sweet indeed. I hope she's faring well." She said, still a bit bewildered from the odds.

After a moment, Arachnae shook her head, clearing the amazed fog from her brain. "I met her a long time ago, when I was still on the younger side."

Thana nodded, surprised. "That's her. She reminded me a bit of my sister. I scared her at first, I think. And she seemed uncomfortable with the boneyard. But she got over it pretty quickly. It was a fun night."

She looked at @Arachnae curiously. She hadn't heard her talk much about when she had been younger, but it was something Thana couldn't help but be curious about. How had the lioness turned out the way she did?

"I hope so too. I just don't know how to go about finding her." Probably not in the boneyard. She was better suited to sweet, bright places.

Arachnae listened to Thana confirm the identity of the peachy lioness, chuckling softly, "when I met her, she did seem to be the nervous type. The boneyard is an intimidating place, I can't say I don't understand her discomfort with it." She smiled.

The witch nodded her head, "I'm not sure either. The one time I saw her, I hadn't ever come across her again after that. I hoped she had made it safely to these lands after.... Well, a large majority of the lions who live her came from another place. Somewhere that had been overrun by violent, cruel rogues who chased everyone who lived there away." Arachnae gave a bit of insight to the shared past between her and Clementine. A hard memory to recall.

Thana had always felt quite at home in the boneyard, but she understood why others didn't. She had had to face the prospect of death nearly daily in her life and was entirely unafraid of it, but others certainly didn't share those sentiments, she knew.

@Arachnae spoke of a place that had been overrun by rogues and Thana flinched and took a step back, suddenly unable to meet the witch's gaze. She chewed her lip for a moment, unsure, but she knew she couldn't lie to her friend. Not now, not ever. "It sounds like you may have had a run in with my family," she said softly, after a few moments.

Darkstone had done that to countless places, it wouldn't surprise her at all if they had done it here as well.
