Astrid paced through the flowers that were beginning to dwindle with the hot months nearly coming to an end. Her pelt being littered with some of the pollen from the remaining flowers as she trudged through. Her mind was in a twist and her anger was beginning to set in. After the death of a fellow viking - albeit she had never formally met him - she felt a need to take vengeance on the one that had taken him from the world. Don't misunderstand Astrid, she knew all to well that fighting was in the ways of viking and if one had pledged their loyalty to another then she could clearly understand why Valhalla had done what he did. But the pain it had caused was drastically unpleasant. Regardless, Astrid still felt like she had a duty to Valhalla but what it was, was a mystery to her.

Ragnarok Awaits

The young Heathen was making his way through the nearby lands to the east of the Peak of Freyr. There were quite a good deal of flowers here, and he was sure that meant there was quite a good deal of food to be found. He gauged his hunger as he padded confidently through the fluffy frillies, crushing them beneath his paws without a second thought. Nah... the pangs of hunger have not yet come, nor were they close. Still... if he saw something bold enough to sit in his path, it's blood would spill just the same.

Tyr smiled at the thought, daring something to come out from it's hiding spot and be so bold as to confront him. It has been too long since he's felt the thrill of battle. Huginn and Muninn have been waiting so patiently for him to spill blood in the name of the Allfather, and as of yet no opportunity had presented itself. It was rather disappointing.

As he made his way through the seemingly empty fields, a rather beige tone stood out dully from the rest of the vibrant shades. Dark spots, green eyes. It was a female ahead not much older than himself. He continued on without skipping a beat, deciding to approach her and adjusting his direction accordingly.

He hiked his tail confidently, head held high and blood-red eyes intensely focused upon her own gaze. He released a rather powerful chuff to announce his presence, the sound bold... brash. He was there, don't mistake it.

"Your mind seems troubled."

He muses, voice rather deep for a yearling. It is a voice of confidence, sprinkled with curiosity. Not like he had anything better to do today. Might as well see what kind of trouble he can get into. He slowed as he got near, slipping in to pace with her if she continued.

She was content to be alone. Something Astrid had grown accustom to inside her home in the Tundra. Though Astrid knew the natives that lived in the Brook nearby it was never the same as if they were her own flesh and blood. Though Nymeria was close, and therefore there was a reason Astrid was out here looking for things that could be of some use to her in the future. Large paws carrying the shield maiden with ease through the fields even when another arrived to join her. Her pace never stopping for him.

Sea foam jewels glancing in his direction. A yearling, younger than she but held himself proudly. High and with confidence. It was amusing and though Astrid held herself highly as well, she was not as showing as he at times. What makes you believe such a thing? She would ask, her voice laced with her accent. A mixture of it all it would seem.

Ragnarok Awaits

The woman questioned his conclusions as to why she was pacing in a flower field and his eyes darkened with a scowl. He moved with purpose to attempt to step in front of her, block her path so that she would focus on his presence. He was all that mattered to her at the moment, and he would make that known to her if he had to.

"Do you deny it, Kvinne?"

He asked pointedly with a thick northern accent of his own, his eyes communicating that she'd best not lie to him. If she was holding secrets to herself, he was entitled to them. IF she played nice, perhaps he could use her goals to satiate his boredom. If she did not... he may simply find an excuse to satiate his craving for blood. He knew it mattered not to Huginn and Muninn. It was her choice.

She was forced to stop in her tracks as he made his way in front of her. Sea foam jewels narrowed at him and how he spoke to her. Oh darling. What a mistake. She was not afraid to get down and dirty if that was what it would take for someone to mind their damn business. Claws slipped out into the clearing below her paws as she would raise her held up high and face him with purpose. Interesting. First she learns about Valhalla being another native viking, then she met a coward boy who attacks her from behind and now this? Oh what a delight this would be. Du er modig for bare å være en gutt som ikke er voksen ennå. She would speak fluently in words perhaps he would better understand. And yet again; Astrid was not denying nor agreeing with his assumption.

Ragnarok Awaits

Tyr managed to stop her in her tracks, a dark smile pulling at the corners of his maw. His fangs slightly expose themselves from under this smile as she begins to look a bit peeved at his actions. Still, she lifted her head to him boldly. It was clearly a challenge to his authority, and who could blame her? She WAS older, but the threat of a fight was never something Tyr would turn down. NEVER. Win or loose, her blood would spill across the ground for the Ravens of the Allfather to relish in.

And if he had needed more incentive, she began to speak. Her words were disrespect, absolute and indifferent. She'd rather not simply answer his question, or rather, verify his assumption. She'd rather show him what she was made of. It was as though he was back in his own homeland! His heart began racing as his dark smile widened with excitement, eager for what was to come!

"bare en feig vil gjemme seg bak ordene hennes. La oss se deg ta affære!"

He said, deep voice entwined with a dark growl as he lifted his lips to bare eager fangs.

Fight Begins Here

He was positioned in front of the headstrong woman. She held her head high to him to assert her strength, and in that he found weakness. He lunged forward, tilting his head to the left in an attempt to clamp his jaws down around her jugular, aiming for the soft flesh right under her jaw.

As he lunged he moved his hind legs squarely under him so that he could balance himself in order to lift both forelegs from the ground. When his forelegs left the ground, claws unsheathed on both paws. He moved them forward in an attempt to sink into both of the female's shoulders and grab her. This would be an attempt to injure the flesh on the shoulder blades near the chest as well as an attempt to keep her from utilizing her own forepaws against him. It had not been lost on him that her claws had been unsheathed before he had attacked.

Astrid had no intention of questioning his authority. Astrid knew damn well who had authority here and really didn't give a damn of what he thought or would say about it. He was younger. He was stupid. It showed in how he reacted her to. In the way that he spoke to her in their native tongue about cowardice where there was no such thing happening here. Astrid was no coward.

A growl erupted from her lips as he came for her. Jaws found their mark at her neck as well as claws hitting her shoulders, preventing her from using her claws. A snarl forming as she would think of what she could do. Anything. And then it hit her and it was all going to hurt in the long run. Digging her back claws into the ground, bending her back legs and scrunching up her muscles, Astrid would attempt to throw herself into the lower half of his chest. She would use all of her weight against him as he was on his back legs. She would attempt to unbalance him.

The older Shield maiden had a fire inside of her, just as he did. He could at least find such a trait favorable, if not completely redeeming. She met him tooth to claw in battle, and as he managed to restrict her options, she proved to be quite resourceful. The young shield maiden lunged forward into his chest, bruising the sternum upon impact. Because there was no where for him to go but Akon got with her, he curled his tail beside him and attempted to tuck his claws up under her belly as they fell, and when he hit the ground on his back he would attempt to claw at her belly with his hind claws.

He attempted to keep the fleshing the female’s throat between his teeth, encouraged by the warmth of her blood dripping against his tongue. His fore paws released her for now, freeing themselves for whatever she had planned next!

He went down. And so did she. This was not success however and Astrid knew exactly what was going to happen. There wasn't much she could do and Astrid was not going to try and escape especially when he had a hold of her throat like such. So, why not try to do something different. Claws dug into her stomach and Astrid knew that blood was easily coating her length fur. A growl formed then but she was not going to stop as Astrid would suddenly lift her hind legs up, having caught herself with her front and keeping close to his jaws, Astrid would attempt to jump onto his stomach. Let's see what you have going on now boy.

Ragnarok Awaits

They fell together, her atop him. He could see the recognition in her eyes... she knew what he was going to do next and that knowing expression on her face made him laugh. But the look in her eyes doesn't last long before there was another look, and it was his turn to wear the knowing expression in his own eyes. She pulled her rear forward and as her legs were coming down to scramble his intestines, Tyr's rear legs attempted to extend as far as possible with his claws unsheathed in an attempt to dig deep into her belly in an attempt to hold her body far from his own. She still would not fully miss if successful, instead her own attack bruising his belly and her claws drawing blood from his soft unders.

With his free right foreleg, Tyr attempted to push against the ground to topple them to the right as his tail lashed behind him. His right foreleg flew down in an attempt to grasp her left hock in hopes it would deter her from catching herself as he attempted to topple her with him.
