October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Their battle was coming to an end, his body bloodied and battered. Exhaustion was overwhelming his body, feeling his limbs grow tired and sluggish. They both fought hard, for this was something way more than just a simple practice or dominance match. And all Valhalla could remind himself is that he had to keep moving, to push forward because he had many reasons why he couldn’t allow for himself a split second of rest in this dual to the death.

But soon it would be clear that he wasn’t going to be victorious today.

He could feel the sudden grab at his neck, causing for him to release a guttural snarl, a spine-chilling sound that ripped through the air. The tightness of her jaws, the sensation of her fangs ripping through his flesh that lay underneath his mane was a pain he had never experienced before until now. Life began to flash before his eyes, first starting off as but a cub. The rebelliousness that carried on throughout his life was something that appeared first, showing how he used to challenge his father at that young of an age. And even though he got on Asgar’s last nerve did his father always hold that everlasting love for his son. The next images to appear were the ones of his native family, the ones that he wasn’t tied to by blood. @Nymeria’s face would come first, the soft and gentle expression she always seemed to have when around him. @Aquila would be next and the sudden wave of strong brotherhood would wash over his beaten body. He wondered how his dear friend was doing; he had been oblivious to the outcome of his own death match, unaware that Sangria had been the one to fall. Several more faces would whirl by in a somewhat blur, and soon would it stop on one that caused for the colossal to suck in a sharp and painful breath.
@Avaneira.

His heart was beating hard and fast, and his mind started to race with what he was going to be leaving behind. The thought of their relationship (or whatever they were, because he honestly had not an inkling of what they were becoming) came to him, wondering if there would have ever been the chance that they would’ve been just more than whatever it is they were. And then the thought that seemed to wreck him the most: his unborn children. He wasn’t going to be present at their birth, he wasn’t going to be able to teach them the ways of battle, to watch as they took down their first prey on their own, to be there to give advice to... But most importantly, he had broken his promise to Ava. He told her he would be there for whatever she needed, and now he was falling to the ground as if in slow motion, trying to delay the inevitable.

“No,” he would force out the singular word, golden eyes straining as they glared at the woman. You killed me.” Valhalla would never place the blame on the Valour male, not even for a second. He was doing what he was trained to do, to defend until the end. And even though death was a frightening concept and one he was about to succumb to a lot sooner than later, Valhalla would never regret his decisions. He lived by war, and it was only right that he died by war. Slowly would he feel himself begin to lose consciousness, the tightening of his jaws causing for it to become harder and harder to gasp for breath. “Maua...” a forced whisper, breathing now becoming labored, “watch over them.” He didn’t know if he would ever return to this world, begging their Deity to watch over his children and everyone he considered dear to his heart.

He then began to wonder if his life had made an impact on others. Was his time in Amaryllis spent well, or did he waste his life away? Aside from the events that had transpired in this day, he had to imagine that he had done some good in the world. He had lived, he had loved. He had made friends and enemies. He laughed, cried when nobody was near to witness, and he felt the sorrows and woes of an everchanging world. But was his life meaningful? It was such a philosophical question for a dying man. But, then again, wasn’t that when others did the most thinking? When they were on death’s doorstep? Valhalla knew that his death wouldn’t be in vain, or he hoped at least. Even though he wouldn’t be around to council his first and last offspring he was more than certain that they would be raised with good intentions, guided by many he knew would steer them in the right path and he hoped they would mention him often to his children. He could only hope.

But now it felt that his time was truly here, death now knocking on his door. Labored breathing would continue as his body grew more limp with each passing moment, and soon he had no strength left to keep himself standing on all fours. His knees would buckle first, limbs wobbly and his body shaking slightly. Down he would go, falling first onto splayed legs before feeling his body sway to the side. The grip was too much, the blood loss even worse, and his incapability to breathe the clincher. His eyes, although now becoming speckled with black and making him see double and had become blurry with tears he did not realize were flowing from them and down his cheeks, were searching for the grey lioness with fervor. He needed to see her, to have his last image seen be of her. “L...ove...” His final word would be pushed out with whatever remaining force he had left, the Viking hoping that it would be loud enough for Avaneira to possibly hear. But he couldn’t be for sure because his own hearing had all but tuned out, hearing nothing other than his heartbeat.

Another gasp for breath and his eyes would close, the rapid rise and fall of his chest becoming slower and slower until, finally, he took one last gasp. It was now that he was in Maua’s paws. The Brnymawr was gone from this earthly world.

Valhalla has died.

Hanneth wouldn't even be able to guess the inner workings of the prides here. She hardly knew what was happening the Mire so as a male arrived and started giving orders Hanneth was mildly confused as to who to listen to. Others arrive and where she should go comes into question as @Avana arrives. Hanneth smiles at her daughter, her own herbs were left in the forest grounds as she had tried to figure out how to protect everyone and failing. @Furia's scream stopped her heart as she looked toward her and saw the outcome of the fight. One was dead and the other was hurt and Furia needed her. She looked at the group gathered and gave them each a long look before settling on @Circe and @Aurum. I know you want her to go else where but please bring her to the Mire. All of my herbs are there I know I can help her. She will be safe. I promise you, on my own life. I don't play politics and only care about what is right. You can all come if you want and won't cause any problems. I have brought a lion back from death. She offered her suggestion before looking forward Furia and @Aquila. Take him to the Mire Furia. She looked toward @Nymeria knowing the panic she was feeling, it wasn't long ago that it was her own. Nymeria, I will care for him. She hoped that Nym would understand everything that went unsaid with her statement. This is how she would repay Nym and she needed the lioness to let her do this. She needed all of them to let her do this. She looked back to those gathered near the fallen lioness. I will heal them both, as she would want from what she said. Please. The lioness had clearly been ready to give it all up to mend things and Hanneth was trying to give her that. And then, she saw that the other match came to an end and she knew that nothing good was going to come from this. The natives were now seeing everything they had lived through and it wasn't going to go well.

it didn’t stop. they could not stop. they would not stop. nymeria stares on in panic, her eyes wide and cheeks pale, whilst words fell upon a crowd of deaf, uncaring ears. her eyes moved back to @Furia as she pushed forward quick apologies, the druid’s dry throat scratching as she tried to reason with the hodari. “It’s not your fault, it’s, it’s her’s.” she murmured, eyes flashing back to the entangled shapes of aquila and sangria. maua had brought them all here for peace, which is what the hodaris had been looking for — but, somewhere along the way, evil had snaked its way in under false pretences, which was not something that she could hold against furia and her family. but the woman who had lunged for his life, who had usurped a peaceful pride for no good reason? even for the peaceful druid, such actions could not be reasonably justified.

@Morrigan was there a moment later, and she found some solace and comfort in the greyflood’s company. eyes snapped to her instinctively, face contorted in a way that pleaded ’help me’, even though there was nothing that could be done. it was @avaneira’s words that shocked her next, however, eyes slipping to the other sister with a twisted look, morphed somewhere between disbelief and concern. “no, he won’t.” She pressed, knowing full well that she could not promise such things, but also knowing that she had to say it for the sake of her own sanity. her body gravitated towards @Gareth as he slipped into the tight tethers of their group, not daring to hide the shining of her tears as her maw slipped momentarily towards the warm, comforting plush of his cheek.

“There doesn’t need to be more fighting, just keep everyone safe —“ nymeria started next towards @Sloane at her vow, though her words were cut off by a sudden, renewed explosion of movement and violence. all around her bodies began to slam together, the faces of @Kiton, @Zoticus, @Circe, @Roan, — a riot started partially on her behalf, and one that she did not want to be responsible for. her heart lurched towards the mire king, who had quickly become a favoured and trusted confidant, emotions skyrocketing at the prospect that she needed to worry about their well-being, now, too, on top of that of @Aquila and @Valhalla. @Magnus arrived somewhere amongst the fray, his company garnering a shaky nod and his words registering upon perched ears. but she could not help but stare in horror at what was unfolding before them, wondering why everyone was so calm, and so content to watch the lands burn to the ground around them. nymeria could not comprehend, could not fathom how far this could spiral or what destruction it could lead to — only that she needed it to end.

It was @Ygritte, finally, that pushed the queen’s attention away from the fighting, grounding herself long enough to register her daughter’s quiet, kind words. "I know, Ygritte, I know. But you need to go home, now. Prep some herbs and food for when we get back, people will need to rest and be healed.” she explained, wanting her to be able to help, but only in a way that would be safe. nymeria’s attention would move to @Heloise as her words fell across the air, as well, nodding idly at her offer to take ygritte home, albeit the fact that it would he hard for her to turn away. “We’ll be okay.” she would try to assure, despite the growing lump in her throat. keep telling herself that.

there was another explosion from @Arjana, but nymeria hardly had time to process what was happening, because it was then that everything seemed to reach its final, bitter climax. first it was @Aquila, gut wrenching as she watched him slip forward with unhinged fury, fangs barred, and blood spilling across the sacred ground of their ancestors as the life is torn from the woman’s body. she made a sound akin to a gasp, though it was low, frightened, confused — conflicted at the sight of her cousin taking a life in such a violent and merciless way. but he lived, he survived, and she felt her heart sore, selfish relief bubbling against her chest as she attempted to take a step forward, limbs still trembling, until she watched as he collapsed against the crimson-soaked earth. "@Tullia, let me help — @Aurum," she started to say, moving towards aquila and the others that were crowded around his fallen form. until.. until it all changed.

the relief was gone. the moment of repose was gone. the feeling that they would be okay was gone. because like dominoes, @Valhalla was next to fall. and it was then that she heard herself scream — a horrible, soul-shattering sound that she did not even know that was capable of making. It was a sound that pierced the air of the carnage, wide, horrified eyes watching as the life faded from the viking’s eyes. those bright, piercing eyes. and for what? he had been killed for nothing, his life wasted, and the land on which they walked was now stained with the sins of firnen. “valhalla? valhalla!” she cried out instinctively, forcing herself away from the safety of the group, as she looked to throw herself atop the man’s fallen frame. the rest of the world faded away into the background then, the words and voices of the others lost fruitlessly in the haze of her panic.

it was clear that he was hurt, but hope could not be totally lost — right? maybe, maybe if they could get him back to vermeda in time, he could still live, could still be saved. oh, nymeria had to try. “we need to, we have to help him, find something —“ she rasped to no one in particular, her voice hitched and desperate, whilst she remained unable to accept the fact that he was gone. “please, please, help me take him to the brook. please. and — and aquila, someone get aquila. @Hanneth — help him.” nymeria continued to plead, not realizing how senseless she was being, for she existed now only in a daze of desperation and despair. maua save him, save aquila, save them both.

As everything escalated around them and more and more deigned to be near to @Nymeria, Gareth felt himself shuffle even closer to her than ever before. Only moment he had been closer was when they had been intimate though this was far from it. Instead, he remained possessive over her should anyone not welcome come anywhere near to his bride. The last thing they would ever see would be his face before he ripped out their eyeballs and made for a good snack. Gareth was a protector but put him in the wrong circumstance and he would become far worse.

So as the panic in the wheat Queen rose, so did the ferocity with which Gareth radiated. His body standing to be beside her as he put his left foreleg in front of her by means of guarding her physically. Leaning into her when she needed it and keeping his eyes peeled for the worst, only as the screeches began did his lips peel into a curl. Vermeda! he shouted, calling to those that had found sanctuary in his wife's home, wishing for calm as death and destruction swarmed around them. Gather our fallen comrade, someone see to @Aquila in Ecrosia with.. miss @Hanneth, he added on as Nymeria had said her name just briefly. They didn't need everyone to go in one place. I need someone to help me get @Valhalla back to the Brook.

Gareth spoke boldly and without hesitation, knowing what needed to be done in times of cleaning up after a ravaged war gone quite wrong. Only when he was certain those around them had heard did he cast his glance to his wife. Sadness gripping at him as he wanted nothing more than to take that pain away from her. The chaos that had ensued and would not settle for some weeks. This was what he could do for her now was to be the Guardian that he was made to be and to take up her mantle while emotions rocked her very core. Let me be your rock. His silence portrayed as he moved to push his body underneath the bloodied ex-Noble so that he could give the warrior his tribunal walk.

how can you say you'll be mine?
If Furia had been close enough, she would have screamed at the mere concept of helping anyone from the god forsaken bluffs. She hoped they all rotted in hell alongside their Firnen bastards, but she could not have been more proud of @Aquila for cutting off the serpent's head. He had won. He had murdered Sangria, put her to shame and won a large victory for the Hodari that day.

Maybe.

"Come on, Aquila, let's go." Furia didn't care who helped her -- if anyone -- she only knew she was getting her best friend home.

He was content with staying here, even when @Jewel stated they shouldn't be here. To get him wrong, Gostir respected the woman but she was neither father or mother so he was less likely to listen to her. And she wasn't Sovereign. But when @Feyre began to go towards the fight yellow jewels went wide and he began to stalk forwards. Claws digging into the ground as he tuned out everything but her. Ears twisted as his sisters scent would sweep in as she grabbed @Feyre and began to speak about going home but Gostir wanted to stay.

So he turned to @Jewel and looked at her. I'm staying to help. There wasn't much he could do but fight as a yearling but that wasn't going to stop him. Even when @Avaneria spoke he glared at her. Now that was someone he wasn't going to speak to or listen. Jewel had a higher respect from him than the ghost. He was well aware of Jewel having grabbed Feyre and yelled at them but there wasn't much that scared him and so he stood beside Jewel and watched as the woman fell to her death.

Her cannonball landed slightly off target. It was not her fault that the water had moved! Air gushed from her lungs from the force of her own impact, her haphazard leap crashing down upon the larger male and sharp bruising left at the base of her chest from the bony bits of his right shoulder. She snarled, her ears back in fury and her gold-split eyes narrowed. At first he had been just a target but now that he had hurt her (even as a consequence of her own actions) he was the enemy. Although her fangs had sunk into his mane, she released her grip to yell "DA ENEMY! ENEMY IS HERE!" she fully expected the guy who had encouraged her to jump into battle to be at her side any time now. She helpfully hollered for his aid, though she didn't know his name.

Her left paw had slashed across @Dero's back and, reached so high up, she found it difficult to pivot the rest of her. Her heavy, tattered haunches struggled to spin, step by weighted step in lush rainforest undercover. Her own clumsiness alarmed her and she reluctantly attempted to lower her left paw, claws always out, trying to slash downward and forward along the bulging right side of his ribs. The greedy snap of his jaws clipped sideways against the inside of her right arm, leaving moderate lacerations along the seam between it and the front of her chest. His left paw took a longer swipe of shallow cuts along the forward portion of her right side and the outside of her upper arm. They didn't bleed yet, nor hurt through the adrenaline of battle, and she hissed in triumph.

Walpurgis had not thought to watch her back, because of course she wouldn't, and her lashing tail found itself in the mouth of @Reti ♔ just where he had intended it to, a foot from its base. It was stilled, pained, punctured by his fangs and she arrested her own pivot lest she fall off balance. His claws cut sideways along her stomach, dragging out matted greasy fur along with moderate lacerations beneath.

faevyre. The woman seems startled when Faevyre brings Deimos to her, but seems to calm once she realizes that she comes in peace. The mauve woman releases the cub to their parent and then scrambles back out of the chaos, trying to get a better view of the bodies clashing between the trees.

Her heart pounds in her head, trying to think. People need her help -- she's a medic, she needs to help. But right now, everyone seems to be locked in a struggle, all of them with the potential to result in dangerous injury. She's overwhelmed.

The fur along the back of her neck raises suddenly. A chill quivers down her form. Another sign from Sune. She spots it.

A brown warrior, one at the center of the chaos. Dark bangs matted with blood against crimson-splattered face. His powerful jaws close atop the maned woman's spine and he shakes, shakes until the life trickles from her features. Faevyre watches her lips move, watches the wicked smile across her dying features until they fall frozen there, eternal.

A soul sundered from mortal form. A life taken on the battlefield.

The mauve woman freezes. She'd seen men never come back from war in their home pride but never witnessed their demises. She'd seen life fade from an elder too aged to go on, the sick too fatigued to take another breath. But to see the life torn from another lion, it was different than watching the life be taken of prey. Death of prey functions in service to life. This... this is senseless.

The woman at the killer's side shouts for a healer. Faevyre starts to move, but those who had been closely watching the battle surge in first -- she hears the Brook being thrown around in name, assumes that the pride has medics of its own to care for the man fallen. So he was of the Brook, then? Had the battle been initiated on him? Faevyre doesn't know. But like dominoes, there's another cry, another keen -- this time, the one rising from the familiar form of Nymeria catches her attention. She follows the Brook Sovereign's eyes and spots a red form slumping in a cream woman's jaws, watches as Nymeria rushes to collapse in grief upon him.

It's all a whirlwind. The chaos doesn't stop.

Faevyre wants to help the Brook, but many of them are already here watching, and they descend upon their people to help. Fire-rimmed eyes turn to the Rainforest woman left standing, pale fur splattered with blood. She takes a step forward, her instincts driving her to help whoever needs -- but she pauses. Faevyre is a medic, but she was raised to be a queen, a politician, and that part of her upbringing gives her pause even though she's long ago left it behind. Nymeria, Farrow, Talisa, and many of the others she's only just started to know -- they're of the Brook, and the woman had just murdered one of their own. An ally of the Hollow. There's no realm where she should step to help the Rainforest woman, even if a part of her feels that it's wrong.

And so she lingers on the outskirts, waiting, watching -- feeling like she's unable to help but that she also needs to find someone to help. She can't just walk away.

+5 - Observe a fight (Aquila vs Sangria)
+5 - Observe a fight (Valhalla vs Ismae)

Morrigan's focus remained on the two fights but she knew to expect her sister when she appeared very shortly after. Morrigan turned as the ghostly shape of @Avaneira appeared next to her, looking in time to see the realization of what @Valhalla was doing. Morrigan could muster no words in response to Ava's vitriol, knowing it came from a place of fear and pain, and she would only move to press her muzzle gently against Ava's neck if she would allow it. Just a small, wordless reminder that no matter what, she was here for her always. She couldn't help but feel her own small twinge of resentment for the handsome devil for not showing more caution, but Morrigan knew very well that any such thought would be hypocritical. No matter what anyone claimed, Valhalla hadn't started this fight and no matter what else they disagreed on, Morrigan understood rising to the challenge when it came... even at the cost of her own life.

@Lochlan came to protect Ava's other side in the crowd around the natives and Morrigan was once more thankful for his presence, deciding the big blue brute was growing more and more useful by the day. As the crowd around @Nymeria would increase, Morrigan would try to back away just a bit when @Ygritte and the Vermedan High Sovereign grew increasingly panicked. That look in Nymeria's eyes already gripped the dark warrior's heart, made her think again how the natives would really feel about the Greyflood woman if they knew she couldn't share their horror the same way. She realized he felt shame and wondered why Maua would have deemed her worthy of Talisa in the first place if this was the kind of thing she'd always glorified, even esteemed to. Especially once @Gareth had arrived did Morrigan back further away, leaving her and her vulnerable daughter to one of her men who could comfort her best. This left herself feeling very alone indeed, but she knew she should count her own blessings from Maua that she had no one here to dread so deeply for.

Purple and silver lingered mostly on the fights, trying to gauge who would live and die, but she knew these kinds of things often came down to the last splitting moment, the first one to slip up, leave a hole in their defenses. Around her, other fights began to break out, no matter how much those gathered might wish for some remaining semblance of peace. Morrigan and the Cove were chained by the bonds of politics, and so it seemed were the Hollows members as @Kiton and @Zoticus suddenly entwined in battle, causing their own members to leap at each other's throats. @Jewel seemed to have struggled to reign in the youngsters but with a few good threats she had them under control as Morrigan had no doubt she would, but Ava still added in a stern command just to give the harried but very experience lioness some authority backbone. Morrigan had noticed the arrival of @Magnus as well and though she still had no idea where exactly they stood, she would return his nod of greeting as he addressed his members.

Kiton and Zoticus at least did not seem intent on killing each other and so while she still watched her friend fight, the larger part of her attention was on the native fighters. She didn't have much stake in any of the other fights, remaining stoic in the face of the bloodshed, stifling the fire within that always begged to be unleashed unto the fray. As she watched, it would be @Sangria who would make the first mistake and though the opportunity was there to spare the red queen her life, why would @Aquila as she spat curses and taunted him? The sickening crack of Sangria's spine between Aquila's jaws was loud even in the chaos, perhaps because the warrior had been listening for it... knowing what it meant. Maybe others would not understand him, but perhaps ironically aligning with Aquila's own thoughts on the outsiders and natives being the same, Morrigan felt like she understood the battered native more and more.

Meanwhile, Valhalla continued to fight valiantly for his life and Morrigan spared little more attention for the red woman as she died on her precious rainforest floor. Any pity the warrior might have felt had dissolved with her daring to curse Talisa's beloved rainforest with her own irreverent blood. The crown of Firnen tumbled down with her and one of her former members flung her body upon the fallen queen so none would defile her, spitting her own curses. Morrigan kept her own attention on her sister and Valhalla as the native was offered a last chance to back down, but kept up his brave face and remained defiant... to the very end. Though she had been relieved to see Aquila at least breathing after his fight, her expression had remained much the same, but when she saw the Firnen woman's teeth lunge for Valhalla's jugular, she felt herself lunge forward a pace unbidden as a small gasp escaped her lips. The veteran warrior in her knew what was about to happen as it did and her mask broke at the same moment that horrible shriek escaped Nymeria's lungs.

She watched with horror as the man she'd hoped to one day call family collapsed into his own blood, his golden eyes searching the faces he held dearest. It was Ava who had earned his last gasp and Morrigan couldn't stop the tears from welling in her own mismatched gaze as she heard his declaration, knowing what it meant far more than some others gathered might. Her nieces or nephews would never have the chance to meet their sire if Morrigan's assumptions were correct. Not, at least, in the same way she had known him. In the vibrant and brave way he had lived, defiant in his upholding of his own ideals and proving just how much they meant to him to the end, even at a far greater cost than just the loss of his own life. His loss would rip a hole bigger than his colossal frame and as he gasped his last few breaths Morrigan looked at Avaneira, preparing to do whatever necessary to make sure her sister was going to be okay. Whatever Valhalla had been to her, Morrigan would never wish such loss on anyone... no matter how angry Ava might be or pretend to be.

"Maua take your son in your loving embrace and make sure he knows we loved him..." she murmured beneath her breath to the diety as she watched the lovely Nymeria falling apart at the way their peaceful world had crumbled in a few hours. She could not begin to imagine what she must be feeling as she watched the golden queen try to help the now lifeless Viking, knowing herself that he was beyond mortal help. Morrigan padded slowly toward her and Valhalla's body, leaving time and space for Ava ahead as she saw Gareth moving behind Nymeria, taking charge for her where she could not. The one who killed him must be ignored by the dark warrior for now, as it was a fair fight in her eyes and if anyone was to take revenge it wouldn't be Morrigan's to have. Gareth had given directions for helping Aquila and he seemed to have enough friends in the Mire to take care of his smaller frame.

Valhalla could have easily been a comrade, had time given them a little bit longer. She could have seen him living in the Brook with Ava and living to fight another day at his side. Instead, that legacy would be left to someone else... perhaps to the life the Cove High Queen carried within. Morrigan couldn't help herself in worrying for those little lives too though, and once more blessed Maua for sending Lochlan when They did. He was sorely needed, even more than the Greyflood sisters could have predicted. Though the darker sister thought Gareth was asking his own pride members for help, Morrigan wanted to give Valhalla the warrior's escort he deserved and would not wish further trauma on his loved ones by making them bear the weight of his body as it grew colder. "I will help carry him home if you'll let me." She was desperate to touch her own family and make sure they were all safe.

She might have been raised to prepare for such things as this, but her life had been the picture of serenity for the last year. She'd thought it was repayment for all the chaos she'd endured before, but it was becoming apparent it was only the calm before the storm. Everything the dark soldier had believed in a month ago had been turned on its head and she was lost in the hurricane of it all. Maybe Talisa would turn her away when she got to the Brook but if so at least she could know she was safe and that Valhalla was home safe as well. War had broken out around them but somehow it was eerily calm here with the two bodies, as it often happened in battle. Morrigan could only hope the respect for the dead would continue long enough to remove them from this place and to their final resting place. As Sovereign she wondered what this meant for the Bluffs and the Mire beyond today, as Kiton's fight still raged on, but he did not want to linger as a spectator once all those she cared about had departed.

It was like time went by in the speed of light. She was standing there where everything going on. She was focused on @Nymeria. However another came up as she would listen to @Heloise. Someone she didn't entirely know but the smell of the Brook was thick on her pelt which meant that she was a friend if not to her to at least her mother. She wanted to stay and help but everything was beginning to move to fast for her and the fear was trying to take over. Ears twisting as her mother began to speak and she would nod her head. Go home and make a patch for those that would need to be healed. Got it.

Paws began to move towards the scent of @Heloise when her mother screamed. Ears fell flat on top of her head as the heart break she felt for her mother who screamed for her comrade. Someone that Ygritte didn't know very well. Ears twisting on top of her head as she stood there and felt the pain that went through her body because of the pain her mother felt. Ygritte was more than in tune with Nymeria's emotions. Closing her eyes, Ygritte would brush against @Heloise before taking off to go home and make plans to get those herbs.

exit!!

Nymeria has permission to join into any of Ygritte's threads regardless of tag due to her blindness.

Ygritte's scent is a mixture of lavender and herbs. Depending on which herb she is carrying in her pouch will determine which herb she has on her; there will be a note on each post to determine.
