Melli Skye
Melli is @Alexon's mother. She was kidnapped when she was young, under a year. By the time she was old enough to become pregnant, she was pregnant with Alex, the only cub in their litter. Alex was allowed to stay with her until they were weaned, a mistake Landicus (leader of the Darkstone pride, very cruel) never made with another cub. She has had at least 3 other litters, though the number of cubs are unknown (up to you)- Alex has never knowingly met one. Alex thinks she is dead, but she was recaptured after a brief escape. She thinks Alex is dead. Alex hasn't seen her for more than 5 minutes at a time since they were weaned and until they were supposed to kill her, hadn't seen her since they were 8 months old.
She is a lesbian or asexual, but has never has a chance to explore this.
She's around 6 years old
Known Personality Aspects: Very kind but traumatized, very wary of males. Told Alexon stories about the stars when they were a cub, knows a tiny bit about healing but only the very basics, has not been allowed to do anything for herself since she was captured- couldn't leave Landicus's den

General Adoptables
Siblings- Alex has no siblings from their litter (October Year 1). However, Melli had at least 3 other litters and Landicus has countless offspring. In an October Year 3 litter, she had at least two cubs, two females named Thana and Alva, who were taken away quickly after birth and raised to be assassins. She also had a cub with a Darkstone Elite October Year 5 (Nazonal) and there may have been other cubs in this litter.

Escapees from the Darkstone Pride
Alex's escape was a huge deal. They were heavily involved with the prisoners and omegas- the only one who ever tried to care for them there. Escapees could see Alex as anywhere from a friend or inspiration to a traitor or someone who abandoned them. Feel free to make an escapee! Any escapees will be scarred to some extent. There were no healers in the Darkstone pride, as Landicus believed that anyone weak enough to get injured and need help wasn't worth helping. Alex tried to help when they could. Breaking a leg and starvation were common tactics used to prevent escape. Recent female escapees are highly likely to be pregnant. These lions have been heavily abused since being... "acquired" by the pride. They were typically used as training dummies for teaching or practicing fighting or torture techniques.

his mother was a scotswoman, captured by landicus in her second year; her unique appearance guaranteed her a spot as a breeder. she was svelte and stunning, and landicus was certain she would produce lovely daughters and strong sons. the first litter she had was exactly that - but the second? the second was phantom, and phantom alone. no mane, and the antlers marking his face were two different colors - an ill omen, as far as his mother was concerned. landicus, disgusted by this son of his, threw him to the wolves and told him to fight if he wished to survive.

phantom, driven by vile hatred for his father ( and for his half siblings who received better treatment than he ) slaughtered his way to the top of the omega pile. he wanted revenge, craved it, could taste it in his mouth like the blood of the opponents he'd killed and then cannibalized. this is not to say that phantom was an unthinking, cruel beast like his father - quite the contrary! he never initiated the fights, but he always finished them. the ruthless efficiency with which he dominated and destroyed his opponents eventually made certain no one challenged him outside of when they were forced to for the entertainment of the elites.

outside of the arena, he was found to be a well-mannered, caring man - one who helped those he could. the dead, he consumed in order to maintain his strength; nobody particularly liked him doing it, but they weren't going to stop him, either. he was respectful of their bodies, at least, even whilst consuming them, and what more could they really ask for? he stepped in to protect the weak where he could, as he did not blame the other omegas for his predicament. it wasn't their fault - it was landicus's, and if phantom ever got out, he'd make sure his father understood just what a monster he'd created.

of course, when escapes begin happening, and when some of his siblings make it out - but phantom doesn't... it's hard not to get angry. it's hard not to wallow in the pit of his own despair, his deep and entrenched rage. his hatred. it burns and roars deep in his gut like a volcano getting ready to erupt, and no matter how he tries to calm himself, each day brings that volcano closer and closer to the surface. each day brings him closer and closer to the edge of madness, until dark figures swim in the edges of his vision and maniacal voices cackle in his ears. the worst of it is that he knows he's going mad. he knows his grip on reality - on himself, on that rage bubbling through his veins - is slipping.

cursed, his mother had called him, and he knows she was right. it is a curse to know you're losing your mind and yet be unable to stop the slide towards utter madness. little does he know that there is a plot to rescue him - in his chaos, he murders an elite and manages to escape on his own. he collapses a few miles outside his father's territory, and is found by gawain, who carries him to amaryllis - covering their tracks and their scents all the while. when phantom wakes, he fears he has lost his mind entirely.
