His teal eyes had been locked on the lone Impala from afar.

Studying it, observing it, Zoticus took his time to watch the animal with a keen sense of interest. He was conjuring up a plan in his head for the execution of the hunt, but, he was waiting. Taking his time. Using careful movements among the terrain, Zoticus positioned himself in a manner he could watch closely, but not too close to be noticed by the prey. Instead, he studied it and the tracks it left behind, waiting for the perfect chance to strike out, wanting to feel a full stomach sooner rather than later.

Impala. And @Zoticus, again. This time, Avaneira fell in beside him, arriving just behind him; they seemed to have the same mind, or perhaps were just in the right place at the right time. Every single time, without fail. “Hi again,” she breathed with a small smile, lowering herself against the stony mountainside, as to blend in with her surroundings. She'd perhaps tease the king later about sticking out like a sore thumb, but now was their time to focus, and not scare away the impala as it surveyed the valley that lay below.

The berry's climb up the mountain was steady work and careful steps, both to minimize the risk of sending any errant pebbles down and give away her location to whoever it was that she smelled lurking around, as well as keep herself from falling to her probably death or at least injury.

So, Sarabi moved low despite her upward hike. Brown eyes shifting over forms as she found them.

There was prey here, not much but so far not many had gathered to lay their claim to it. This was doable, just had to watch her paws and watch their paws.

Crouching low, Sarabi's hind legs tensed in readiness to spring forward when the time came.

Kasia hadn't the slightest trouble managing the mountain. She sprung lightly up towards the top, sure of her footing despite some of the narrow paths which she used. This was what she was used to. Mountains were where she thrived. It took her no time at all to reach the plateau where others were to be found. Others, and an impala.

It was a hunting party on the smaller side of some that she had seen, at least currently, but should prove more than enough to handle the single impala. Or else fall could do the same if they spooked it and rushed it off the edge of the plateau.

It never hurt to venture into a hunt with strange lions, right? The only two she immediately recognized was @Zoticus and @Kasia; one of which would have no idea who she was given that she had been hiding during their first meeting but the latter was a member of the Hollow and thus Zulema gravitated first and foremost to her. Lingering at her side, prepared to strike the iron while it was hot and all that. The other strange lioness (@Avaneira) that had presented herself to the group's cause was a silvery woman (zu really had a type) that certainly had Zulema trapped in her web. Gaze hungry as she wondered why this lioness had been kept quite a secret from her as the longer she stood there, the easier it was to smell that she was a part of the Hollow, too. Shamefully not her recruit but not mad at all.

She could smell her, there, somewhere, but she wasn't in sight. Volcan almost boiled, unable to stand behind the strawberry and inhale her smell silently, as if she were listening to the plan they had all created, careful to never be seen staring at her speckled body.

This time, it was an Impala, standing up on the mountain stating around. How it had not seen them was beyond her, but she didn't even care of they really caught it. She was here to observe her own prey, after all. She had decided if little Sarabi would not make a good meal, than perhaps the silver colored one with pink eyes would. Maybe, she would have to pay more attention in the future.

The faces were becoming familiar at this point, but still Keir didn't know them by name. They were all too concentrated on their prey, today being a singular impala. He wondered how this would go; if any more lions showed up the yearling feared that they all would be chomping at the bit to gain more meat to take with them and not leaving enough for an 'equal' share, so to speak. But nevertheless he would still aide in a takedown. Several mouths fed were better than none, right? He'd give a nod to the gathered lions, crouching low and tail becoming limp behind him except his his tail tip flicking with an apparent life of its own. "I'm Keir," he'd finally decide to speak his name into existence, "I feel like we all should be on a first name basis after all these hunts we've shown up at." Now whether or not any of the others wanted to follow suit and introduce themselves was a mystery, but at least Keir got his out of the way.

Morrigan probably wasn't necessary for this particular hunt, certainly not as an actual killer, but it was an entertaining thought to see who could be the first to reach the impala and take his place as king of the hill. There were familiar faces here too and as Morrigan joined them on the familiar hill, she couldn't help but think @Zulema was looking at @Avaneira awfully hard. Morrigan raised a dark brow and as she passed the ruby noble she would nod her head toward Ava, offering Zulema the excuse to join them if she wished. She would otherwise settle in and wait to see what happened, ready to cut off the impala if he decided to make a break from the other hunters.

King of the mountain... What his family had once been before they're untimely fall. It was almost funny, seeing such a small creature unaware of his impending demise yet looking so very regal against the far off horizon. Funny... And kind of sad. But he wasn't exactly in the mood to dwell on poetics.

This area wasn't new to him, but the creature he was encountering was. There were many in this land to speak of, far different from the likes of mountain rams and antelope. An Impala was foreign to him, at least until this point... He took in it's scent, curiously smelling as if it really shouldn't be here, but in the grasses of the plains instead. Curious... It's misplacement would be it's downfall.
